Chronos Boss Guide for Hades 2. All abilities explained. Going to make a video for each boss in Hades 2 where I'll explain the various abilities and how to deal with them regardless of build.

I feel Chronos is so much more complicated/harder than Hades ever was.
They decided to triple the difficulty of Hades for no real reason, no one enjoyed Hades cuz "it was a difficult game" but that's what they did anyway cuz they knew it was gonna be mostly veterans playing the game. If it was the same difficulty or even just slightly more difficult than Hades 1 this game would be a cakewalk for most of us.
@@jebril Don’t get me wrong, I loved and played Hades 1 plenty. I actually thought Hades 2 was way easier? Until I hit Chronos. I actually reached Chronos on my very first attempt at the game, which I did not expect. But I STILL have not beaten him after 33 nights (some of those nights I did go up instead of down though). I refuse to put god mode on, I came THIS close once, where he was one hit away, but he hit me first by sheer bad luck where I made a bad decision :( but still nothing. But those tips is what made it easier for me to come closer with the cheesing of the all range spec.
@@Deadkandysame here beat him after 30 ish nights of mostly trying with the axe. Switched to the momus staff to try and it's absolutely cracked, got a god run with two special oriented hammers and ended up with a lvl 11 poseidon spe (thanks to hera's sacrifice boon)... Went from throwing god runs against chronos to melting him without trying too much and keeping 2 death defiances.
I mean the entire game is a lot more technical than Hades 1 with Chronos being the embodiment of that.

Another tip - The first time I beat Chronos I did it by stacking a bunch of dash speed buffs (on top of a decently high dodge chance). I got it high enough that I could more or less reliably outrun his dash attacks when I saw him charging them up.
The dash from hermes that gives you a barrier is a godsend
You should mention that at the beginning he is doing only 1hit combo of slash/charge attack. After taking some damage (>50% I think) he is doing 3hit combo of his slash/charge attack.
When he uses his vacuum he ends it with a projectile. It is much safer to get pulled by vacuum to short distance and then outrun it left/right to stay behind Chronos. You are safe from his projectile and you can do attack while he is still doing the vacuum.
Great job breaking down what his attacks are. I didn't notice how much the binding circle shortened his charge attack until I saw it here. Super helpful. Thanks for the tips!
I got him by accumulating 12 of the Hex heals (that were upgraded quite a bit). Also had two DD's, but only ended up needing to use one (he caught me in that insane insta-kill AoE in phase 2).
This is so funny to me cause i beat him today with exclusively the argent skull omega special with Aphrodites upgrade i was almost never outside of the range of his attacks it was also my first time in the second phase which i wasnt expecting at all

Best strategie in my opinion is staying/dashing behind him.
And learning the spinning projectile attack.
You don't always have the luxury of keeping your distance, so I don't think it's the best recommendation for phase 2. Keeping him in the binding circle requires you to be close most of the time, so recommending it as a strategy to reduce the distance of his charge attacks while keeping your distance only works if you get the boon from Hades, which is rare.
There are two abilities, one from Zeus and one from Hestia which allows you to keep your distance.
note - you haven't explain all of his spells in phase two, otherwise great breakdown
Which upgrade/boon makes the binding circle be able to get thrown like on the video?
Its actually a gift from Hades. Its homing which is occasionally nice but I think the Hetia Fireball is easier to use.

@@Diceof20sides No it's not, he's throwing the cast with a skull like projectile, that's a Hades reward, it hits for 200 damage and get's casted in a straight line
1st phase. Stay near him and dash behind him when he rises his scythe.
that's all.
you'll have better luck doing that then outrunning him. that won't work on 90% of the builds anyway.
