I am so excited to FINALLY see someone review Sweet Chef! I’ve been using it for a few months and was skeptical at first because I couldn’t find any reviews but I risked it and am in love with the toner! It’s also available at Target and you can even use their Circle deals.
I’m so glad to see you review the Sweet Chef Kale serum. I got this through a subscription box and I really like using it when I need something sooth my skin. I had oily skin most my life but now that I am 50, my skin has changed and can get really dry and have crazy acne breakouts. I love Keys line. 💜 I have many products from it, the cream is amazing. I have very oily skin (but dehydrated) and it's amazing! I can use it even in the morning. Very recommended!
I'd LOVE if Then I met you came out with a body lotion with the cleansing balm scent. The balm doesn't get very oily and wash off great on me but I love the scent so much I use it on my body to remove sunscreen. The Tea gel cleanser is so good though-I have combo skin and it's perfect in the summer-I love the texture :)
Keys was a game changer for me! I react too easely to chemical peeling, even the glow recipe toner, but the powder is just right and I can apply it exactly where I need it and spare sensetive parts of my face. That bottle will last forever, but I will definitely buy it again. The fragrance free moisturizer feels so nice! ♥️ It gives my partly dry skin not enough moisture, but with an extra essence it's ok. But the feeling!!! My skin feels so soft and smooth since I use it! I have also the multipurpose balm and it saved my dry lips, also I used just what was left on my finger after applying on my lips, for in-between my eyebrows (dry spot) and have new hair growing there! I don't know what's in there, but this is here to stay! When I run out of my serums etc, I will have a look at the full range.
I absolutely love the Keys transformation fragrance free moisturiser. I’m in my second jar now and find it leaves skin so smooth and soft. Love love it 😀
I absolutely LOVE the fragrance free Keys Soulcare - I had extremely dry skin this past winter, it was literally peeling it was so bad, and this SAVED me. It's a little heavy for summer but I'm still using it a couple nights a week. I have very sensitive skin and have no reactions to it!

I had no idea that keys was a celebrity brand 😳 I was drawn to the packaging and after reading the ingredients I was sold I love the transformation cream, toner and balm so far
I love the Saturday Skin Yuzu sleeping mask too! I'm not usually a huge sleeping mask person, but I really did feel like that one gave me this nice glow when I woke up without being sticky!
I love Keys Skincare. The Luminous Exfoliating Powder is my favorite!! The smell is heaven. My face didn’t like it as much but I use it on my neck and shoulders and since it’s a powder, I still have a lot of product left. The candle is perfect. I have migraines so it’s just enough to create the atmosphere and the smell is gentle and great.
Just tried a Keys cream sample and it's lovely, just like you I usually dislike fragrance, but the scent of this cream is just right for me, very calming, enjoyable, and barely there. Thanks for the Cult Beauty rec, might need to try more of the line.

I've been using the Keys Soulcare Skin Transformation Cream and Comforting Balm for the past couple of weeks and I absolutely love them. Cult Beauty is also my go-to for skincare!
I love crystals and crystal healing, but malachite in skincare is a no-go for me! It's considered unsafe/toxic in water, and its dust shouldn't be inhaled, ingested , or applied to the skin.
Lol, same. 54, and I probably wouldn’t have even looked at Glow Recipe if it hadn’t been for James’ reviews. Now I don’t know how I ever managed without the Pink Juice moisturizer 💜💜💜
I didn't even know the Alicia Keys skincare line existed!! I love the idea of incorporating crystals/minerals/gemstones into skincare.... Everything, without fail, everything in existence is energy/light!! We all emit a frequency, as do crystals/minerals etc.. In my opinion, these are tools. The frequency these beautiful little beings put off can be very powerful, that being said, I believe they are a tool just like anything else & the power to heal truly lies within YOU!! Look into how crystals structure water. For example; Shungite is incredible for water purification. It's the only one of it's kind. It contains something called fullerines, it's great for our health!! I find this stuff absolutely fascinating! I do crystal/energy work with people & it NEVER gets old, the look on a person's face when they realize how beautiful & powerful they are!! Thanks again, James, for another excellent video!!

I’m a silversmith/lapidary artist and having malachite in a moisturizer really makes me nervous, it’s a toxic mineral that I have to use the utmost caution with when forming/ polishing it. I understand chemist know what they are doing but not sure how you take such a toxic mineral and make it safe for skincare. Would love to know though!

I just bough the Yuzu sleeping mask after watching Beauty Within's recent video recommending. Then I met you is crazy expensive though, £37 for the cleansing balm is insane!
I love that you do sponsorship with Cult Beauty because I'm in Europe so they are my favourite place to shop skincare and makeup online. I love that they expand their offer every day basically and my packages come customs-free hehe
I want to try that cleansing balm, but every oil or balm cleanser makes my face feel dry. I do use the Clinique one from time to time, but now that dries me out too. When I was younger that didn’t happen. I had very oily skin back then. I used it as my sole cleanser back then as well, so maybe that’s the issue. Also, I use prescription tretinoin at the highest strength so would I be able to use a vitamin C mask? Love you and your channel. I’m so glad I found it :)
Fellow Tretinoin user and I use the lowest dosage I think. I don’t think it’s best to use a vitamin c mask or too many other actives. I would ask your derm because everyone is different based on your script and skin.

Omg I was wondering the same thing... I have a few screenshots of items I wouldn't mind trying...but there is no talk on them, 2 are from K Beauty as it happens...🤔 Is there a reason or are they just hidden gems?! 💜Great topic!!💜🤗🤗🖤💙🖤
Me clicking on this video and getting a surprise when the very first product is something I use everyday. Happy to know it’s James Welsh approved. That gives me some comfort. 😅
Video idea:: Take a picture of video chat with a subscriber that wants a personalized skin care routine! You take the info needed about oil, Fragrance preferred, texture, aim, etc and then build a customized routine for them. After a couple weeks ask for an "after" picture and use it as the outro. FIRE 🔥! A dream of mine but I'm too suspicious of anyone who does it as they usually have an agenda like commission or limited to their brands of products etc.
Thank you for introducing me to Cult Beauty. I’m curious about the Then I Met You cleansers and I’ve already signed up an account ✌️😻✌️ I’m taking a lot of notes today since I’ve got some skincare shopping to do.. 🛍 Fun! Lots of love and hugs and summer vibes from Sweden 🇸🇪 🌸🌸🌸✌️😽💗
Fact: Malachite is toxic when mixed with water. I am not sure how they processed it into their cream but I am definitely not going to buy that moisturizer, I like leaving water on my face and then adding moisturizer.
The Sweet Chef Oat Milk Latte cleanser is phenomenal! It is one of my favorite cleansers now (except I have to store it upside down, because it leaks so much, but it’s worth the annoyance of the packaging).
Target in the states has a mini sample of the sweet chef vitamin c serum. I’ve already tried the the normal size and have seen great results but bought the mini because i love tiny things and i silently squealed its so cute!! I hope they make minis for the other serums, its great that they have a sample size. Btw, james have you seen that function of beauty is in target? Would you review and compare to the personal online version please?
It's a great line. People get salty towards "celebrity brands," but some celebrity brands are pretty good. I judge a line by quality not names, except celebrities with questionable personalities and reputations. Like I won't buy anything from Jeffree Star, or the Kardashians and Jenners. I have the Soul Skincare cleanser, exfoliating powder, and the unscented moisturizer. Although I only use it at night and during the winter because I need to use my Paula's Choice, and ELF oil control products during the day when i need to stay matte. My skin is very greasy in hot humidity.
@@JamesWelsh Happy to report I received my Sweet Chef Beet Serum last night and instantly tried it after showering! SO GOOD!☺ This is instantly a hit with me as well! would love if youd add regarding cleansing stuff it if can be used on the eyes. i know in general foam ones arent okay for the eyes but i also encountered other cleansers that cant be used for the eye area which really defeats the purpose of cleansing for me
K-beauty is a term that has seriously trended of late, but the ironic thing is that brands like Then I Met You, Glow Recipe and Saturday Skin are formulated primarily in the USA, and do not have a presence in retail stores in South Korea at all. I think that they are more appropriately Korean-American brands. Even Krave Beauty is not readily accessible in South Korea too, and I heard that you have to order online and then meet the Seoul representative to collect the goods if you ever order in South Korea. 😱
@@turtle4llama the product description of most real K-beauty brands is in both English and Korean Hangeul, but predominantly Hangeul. As someone who is able to speak both Korean and English, I would say that Korean-inspired American brands like Saturday Skin, Glow Recipe, Then I Met You, Peach and Lily etcetera suffer from a lack of publicity unlike their South Korean counterparts. Their main source of publicity is via their online clientele itself.

THANK YOU FOR BRINGING UP SWEET CHEF 😭 They are so underrated and the quality is great for the price.
I love the sound of the Sweet Chef range! Looks so simple yet also pretty and effective haha
I freakin am obsessed with all the then I met you!!!!! The water gel cream they have if freaking amazing the cleaning balm is so great to!!
I love sweet chef! Definitely an affordable option since it's target. I love the oat latte cleanser.
I just tried my first product from Hyggee (ginseng serum) Another brand no one talks about! Really nice texture, not cheap, but 120ml bottle.
Me clicking on this video and getting a surprise when the very first product is something I use everyday. Happy to know it’s James Welsh approved. That gives me some comfort. 😅
Omg review Sweet Chef thank you so much! I can never find much about it. You might check out the cleanser too. I love it for morning.
Video idea::
Take a picture of video chat with a subscriber that wants a personalized skin care routine!
Happy Sunday, James! Soooo, now I’m gonna have to try Sweet Chef because I love Glow Recipe . . . Got it. Have an awesome day! 💓💓💓💓💓
Happy Sunday! Omg 100% get the toner 🤭 it’s so good
@@JamesWelshokay, you twisted my arm ☺️☺️☺️
That keys soulcare exfoliate is so so so good. And smells divine!
It smells so good! I had to get the candle haha
Farmacy is a brand that I never see reviewed. Definitely deserves more attention!
Finally someone talking about Keys Soulcare! Thank you!
Fact: Malachite is toxic when mixed with water.
I am not sure how they processed it into their cream but I am definitely not going to buy that moisturizer, I like leaving water on my face and then adding moisturizer.
thanks for sharing!! :)
@@idrk1507 You're welcome!
Hear, hear! Natural isn't always good. Monkshood is natural and will absolutely kill the shit out of you. What's next, cinnabar in your face cream? 🤯
Good comment for the scientists/formulator of the line. I am sure they can guide you in understanding how it is a Safe and Good formulation.
Ah fuck- I was tempted by the Keys range before, but now It’s gotten James seal of approval I’m sold on it!
Me too!!!
I was disappointed by it tbh 🥺😪
It's a great line. People get salty towards "celebrity brands," but some celebrity brands are pretty good. I judge a line by quality not names, except celebrities with questionable personalities and reputations. Like I won't buy anything from Jeffree Star, or the Kardashians and Jenners. I have the Soul Skincare cleanser, exfoliating powder, and the unscented moisturizer. Although I only use it at night and during the winter because I need to use my Paula's Choice, and ELF oil control products during the day when i need to stay matte. My skin is very greasy in hot humidity.
The Skin Transformation Cream is lovely, so soothing and moisturising. I have the scented one and love the smell.
Your skin looks so glowy, plump, & delicious in today's video James😍 I need that ASAP lol🤓
So yes!! James, the Sweet Chef Beet + Vitamin A serum this claims to hydrate and refine pores...what do you think is it worth a try?
I love that one tooooo!
@@JamesWelsh OMG I hoped you would! At that price point, it's a steal!👀 Sold!!🙌Thank you James as always!!💜🤗💜
@@JamesWelsh Happy to report I received my Sweet Chef Beet Serum last night and instantly tried it after showering! SO GOOD!☺ This is instantly a hit with me as well! It feels so indulgent, no grease, no odd texture, and my pores feel tighter from the 1 application! 🤯I highly recommend this too! Thank you James for your help as always!!💜🖤🤗🤗🖤💙
Hello James, would you be kind enough to make another video for drugstore products you recommend or drugstore dupes 2021, for the broke peeps out there like myself.
Please and thank you! Love you so much.
I always wondered why no one mentions Sweet Chef. Their face oil is amazing!!! I have all their products and love them, one of my favorite brands. The serums are great too and I’m obsessed with their ginger face mist ….James, please get the face mist too!!! It’s the only other mist I’ll use besides glow recipes watermelon one.
Hello James Darling! Let the best day of the week begin! 💜
Happy Welshday everyone!
the sweet chef eye cream is so good. i used it and used la mer the next day and the sweet chef was much more hydrating and helped my bags.
We love this! Thank you so much for sharing! 💜💜
Congrats on the collab with cult beauty! Love shopping on there! Is there anything you would seriously recommend to help with malasma please James? I am struggling so much even though I use spf 50 every day. Or can anyone help? Thanks in advance x
would love if youd add regarding cleansing stuff it if can be used on the eyes. i know in general foam ones arent okay for the eyes but i also encountered other cleansers that cant be used for the eye area which really defeats the purpose of cleansing for me
Thank you for reviewing the Alicia Keys skincare line! I was just wondering about it because I see ads everywhere on fb. Love from Canada 🇨🇦
I imagine most authentic Korean beauty products would be in Hangul
@@turtle4llama the product description of most real K-beauty brands is in both English and Korean Hangeul, but predominantly Hangeul. As someone who is able to speak both Korean and English, I would say that Korean-inspired American brands like Saturday Skin, Glow Recipe, Then I Met You, Peach and Lily etcetera suffer from a lack of publicity unlike their South Korean counterparts. Their main source of publicity is via their online clientele itself.
