I drove my 2016 cc with the 2.0t in for a year stock. Got an itch and got the ecu and the tcu tune along with intake coil packs and a down pipe. Now my “ little 4cyl” is able to run laps around cars I’d never image it would touch. Stock vs tuned is a crazy difference in these cars
I have a moderately modified mk7 Golf R. Dyno'd 383WHP. I understand that the GTI is a LOT cheaper than an R, but jesus they just suck. No AWD, a lot less power, and even if modified won't hold up well because they don't have forged rods and pistons, not that with the FWD you would ever use it without slicks. The MT is geared like trash for both so dual clutch is the only answer. Stock gti's are 14 second cars if I remember right, a stock R with a stick is like mid 13's while the DCT version is mid to high 12s. I dragged a Golf R that was almost identical to mine in power and he was mid 12's while my best time is 11.5. Manuals in these cars are hot garbage and the clutches always need an upgrade when the power goes higher.
@@jdkrey6326 It doesn't handle as well either. You can't corner as fast as you can in an R. Torque steering and lacking two more points of drive contact does that. It's not a bad car for the money but I'd rather have a miata because it's RWD.
@Nelbone I have never seen a 10 second GTI. I also don't understand how an AWD version of a car that has more power and a built bottom end to handle a higher power limit on stock internals would be slower at any speed, especially when they share transmissions and the weight difference is near non existent. 11 second GTI's are rare even with bolt ons. 11 second R's are literally a shelf tune away on an all stock motor. My car pulls perfect all the way up to 150. Best bang for the buck on a GTI? I don't see how when a bolt on ecoboost mustang with a shelf tune decimates it and has a superior drivetrain, on top of being RWD. That's just one example. GTI's are cool cars and track really well, but they are slow, just great handlers, while the R does straight lines well, and tracks amazing. VW already kind of screwed the pooch, MK8's are garbage and their build quality in the last 5 or so years has disappeared. They are ranked in the bottom 5 for all manufacturers ATM.

My Mk6 GLI is stage 1 APR with no other mods except for a high flow drop in filter. I dyno 255 whp and 280 torque at the wheels, with DSG and just under 3200 lb curb weight. I’ve never had any trouble gapping bone stock Accords from a dig or roll, even the new 2.0 sport can’t hang. Just based upon that I would think the Mk7 GTI here likely isn’t modded. And for the guy who thinks V6 Accords are faster than generation 7 Golf R’s, go home you’re drunk…

my roommate had a 2006 accord coupe and it was neck and neck with my mk7 with a 6mt. Definitely on par for both cars stock
Pretty good what VW can do with a "small" 4cil
And fan Boys of 3 cylinders
VW UP 1.0 Tsi.
I do not think, in 1990, Honda make's the S2000, a aspirated 2.0 with 240 CV's.
The EA888 makes pretty good power and has great aftermarket support.
Impressive considering that accord weighs more. But also impressive performance from 33% less cylinders on the VW side
2 cylinders between then but turbo

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 lmao
Wheel spin too on the accord
Too much torque for semi wet road lol
Esse Accord tá com quantos cavalos? Pra pegar um GTI precisa estar mexido por mais que já venha com praticamente 300 cavalos
Are these both stock? And 8G Accord?
Yeah both stock and yeah 8g accord 6-6
GTI was quick if you ask me
Was the GTI tuned? I have a 16 sedan v6 and i tore one of those up
I believe he was slightly tuned
But roads are wet too with me having 2 passengers so if I wasn’t spinning or had pass then I’d be gone
