Aggy just brute-forces everything, but he's so good he makes it look viable. The game is just one big quick time event for him. I like how the game so aggressively and repeatedly tells you that the zombies are weak to fire, and Aggy just insisted on using electric damage through the entire area. Also, I'm so shocked Aggy hasn't experimented with different handles and blades at all. That'd be the thing I'd be most excited to try.
Yeah i'm watching him fight shovel guy atm and its so painful because i'm pretty sure he's got a way faster runback than the one he's doing unlocked. So many other places where i'm like "take a step back and let them finish an attack animation".
To me it was immediately obvious you hide behind the pipes in the Fuoco fight to not get the overheat debuff. Chat over here being so certain the only way is the slight pattern on the ground; it's just distance and the pipes as cover.
I feel so stupid I never thought about hiding behind the pipes.... I managed to get the timing right so I'd be clear across the arena when he did that.
I beat the game last night clocking in at just under 42 hours. That was the most impressive souls-like I've ever had the pleasure spend my time on. Truly as enjoyable as fromsoft (if not better than a couple). Not to mention the challenge and creativity of these bosses for a first time souls-like. game
I was so confused they renamed groggy to stagger. I thought it's a separate thing for the first few hours until I realized they never mention groggy in the full release.

Then the whole dodge sucks which you get a better dodge later and upgrades that reduce damage while dodging too. Imagine if people actually waited to give their opinions on something. The game obviously doesn't start you out as the strongest you will be. You upgrade over time like any souls game.
I love the shovel Robot, he just like: Bonk Bonk Bonk dead :D he robbed 12k from asmongold, shortly followed by a 3h fight of the swamp thing only to result in a ragequit...it was glorious
NGL after seeing quite a few streamers play this game, Aggy is the one I come back to watch again. Most other streamers are either ignoring lore completely, rushing areas or doing things out of sake of just memes. Aggy paid a lot of attention and missed the least amount of content out of all that I have watched, and he did things in the matter of being the most logical instead of for contrary's sake, hence effortlessly got the best ending. He's not perfect in understanding some mechanics, as it will show in the next vod, but he definitely did very well in exploring and showing the game and the process of exploring the game for the first time.
As someone who understands ðe parry, his parry skills are half-assed. He still doesn't understand ðat he needs to do it a bit earlier ðan close to when it contacts his body.
So, what I figured out and helped me, is paying attention to the arms of the enemies, and memorizing timings. The boss that helped me the most was KoP and Romeo. Getting the parry system down was hard, but it felt intuitive in later fights, like with Laxasia. I was able to parry most if not all of her long combo hits this way.

I know folks who worked on the VO for the game and they’re super proud of it. The devs specifically went to the studio that records all the Souls games. 😂
Them crawling robots that caused his first death actually have like 3 spawn spots in that tunnel depending on where you are in the tunnel, thats why what happened, happened.
Man I'm sold on this by the end of the VOD. I don't know why I was surprised, given how heavily this game cribs from Bloodborne among others, that it would take this really nasty left turn into a different flavor of horror like it does. But it seems sick!

I have to actively remember to use them in boss fights. Thankfully there have been bosses that have forced me to use the Legion Arm, left to my own devices I will use sword and nothing else for these games.
FYI advance ups any of the electric or fire or whatnot you use on your weapons and the throwables....so if you guys are using enhanced weapons then up advance

I quite enjoyed my time with Elden Ring. The sheer amount of weapons, and how different they all felt from each other, as well as the amount of sorceries and incantations, made building a class a lot of fun. However, there's a ton of reusing bosses, a world that sometimes feels too open and empty in spots, and a rushed second half like you said. I would argue that Elden Ring is a more polished product, but Lies of P is more fun to me. Bloodborne is my second favorite Soulsborne, only slightly edged out by Sekiro, so this game feels like it was tailor-made for me. Plus, experimenting with the Assemble Weapons system was the most fun I've ever had in any soulslike, including FromSoft. This is the first soulslike in my opinion to really understand the assignment and get it spot on. The fact that it came out of nowhere from basically a South Korean mobile game developer is crazy.

You go through a tutorial, and then you get the title screen when you see the outside world on that cliff. Kinda like how you go through the tutorial level here, and then when you reach Hotel Krat, you get the title screen. But I think it's ridiculous to think that they set out to copy the intro of a Zelda game. That makes no sense at all. It just happens to have a few similarities.
Oh, and you continually forget to have status healing items on and forget to use them against enemies who use them. I know you’ve improved by this point since this is a month ago, but it’s so laughable.

The fire shovel guys are legit the second hardest non-boss enemy in the game, and probably in the top 10 of all enemies including bosses.

One thing they did make a huge change to is obviously dodging tho. Now it’s just as viable a way to avoid damage. The dodge was bad in the demo

In this setting, they're the same thing. There's nothing called "robot." What we would call robot, they call puppet.
