Brake clean is great but you forgot to lube up the adjuster, parking brake and where the shoes ride on backing plate. A dab of anti seize in the right places makes all the difference
Definitely not the same rotors I have on mine. My 04 Tacoma 2wd is a bit more involved since there are bearings that also come out during rotor replacement. The only videos that show how to replace my rotors are in spanish. Strange.
If you have bearings that come out when you change the rotors than somethings wrong with the whole hub.. on 2wd you gotta press both front wheel bearings in the hub and they dont just slide in there trust me…. Theres actually quite a bit of ass ypu gotta give it to get em out. Need a specific tool.. unless you have a 4wd conversion that never got completed than your 2wd 04 tacoma will be the same..
If you are referring to the bolt that helps remove the brake drum, I cant remember, we have it in our tool box and we will measure the threads and update this answer as soon as we can.
This is by far the best video I've watched changing brake pads for a Toyota Tacoma. Thanks
Nice video. Just did my front brakes successfully by following along with this.
Very thorough thanks
