Finally got me one of these. A lot of great games on this. Honorable mentions, Earthworm Jim, Wonder Boy, and Alisia Dragoon Top Ten for me are, Gunstar Heroes, Strider, Ghouls-n-Ghosts, Phantasy Star IV, Landstalker, Beyond Oasis, Contra Hard Corps, Castlevania Bloodlines, Streets of Rage 2, And my number 1 is easily Monster World IV - This has become one my favorite games ever since I got it on my ps3 several years ago. In fact I think it has finally cracked my all time top ten games ever. I just love this game more and more, every time I play it. An absolute hidden gem of a game as it was never originally released in the U.S. or Europe. Great setting with cute colorful characters and graphics with great music. A perfect retro game. It's an adventure game where you control Asha, a girl protagonist who find a Pepelogoo, what is basically a pokemon before pokemon existed, who follows you around and help you explore a world with dungeons and lots of secrets and items to find, upgrades to buy and monster to defeat. It is exactly the type of game so many modern retro game developers want to create these days. If you love games like Shantae, Wonder Boy in Monster World or MWIII Dragons Trap, Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, you will love this game. In fact the Pepelogoo makes a few cameos in Monster Boy in the Cursed Kingdom as he's trying to find Asha herself. That game was a spiritual successor to the Monster World franchise. Anyway that my 1002 cents.
Why no Sonic 2? It's a great improvement. I am not saying Sonic 1 is a bad game, Sonic 1 is an absolutely astounding and great game, but it's just bizarre to not see Sonic 2 at all.

j06 no no, it's fine, my friend. I actually had to go back and look at the whole lineup again, because some of them really shocked the sweet honey iced tea out of me, lol. Yeah, World of Illusion requires strong cooperation if you play 2-player, but you get to unlock more secrets together than you can individually. The music in the game is great, especially when you're on the magic carpet and then later on a giant cloud piano. What Sega games are your favorite?

Streets of Rage 2(really good soundtrack), Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and mortal kombat is my top 3 for sure. Followed by games like turtles in time and batman forever. I kinda wish they’d make a new Game Gear with an extra button, bigger screen, and could play all these games... I know you can pretty much do that on the Switch, but isn’t everyone nostalgic for that old 6 battery BEAST?! Maybe just me 😜

Darius (because I like arcade games more than any console, so ...even though it wasn't an original it's cool to imagine what if with this Genesis flavored port) 8.) Ghouls N Ghosts (working the joystick on these in the arcade makes you feel like it might turn out to be a lever for a trap door, something about the music, it's a real box of tricks) 9.) Alisia Dragoon 10.) F****ing GOLDEN AXE (THE reason to go Sega instead of upgrading to SNES in those days) Most Classic: 1.) Altered Beast (kids these days bitch about this game and they sound like weenies. It was a LITERAL beast in the arcade. Sega making it a pack in title was the first way they earned my respect, Sega Genesis IS this game to me) 2.) Sonic 2 (I was one of the dudes hating on Sonic that kid gets so mad about. I hated that direction. I wanted Dungeons and Dragons, Sword and Sorcery, Sports and Racing, and the arcade in general from the Genesis/Megadrive...like an El Camino with a naked native woman wrestling a panther painted on the side with controllers coming out of it. The baby shit was why I wasn't all that enthused about where Nintendo was going in the first place, but Sonic 2 really is a solid game, and over the years it earned my respect for its quality) 3.) Space Harrier "II" (Another game that sold the thing, it was the only one of Segas most famous games, the Sprite scaling virtual 3D early 16 bits from the Hang-on board in arcades to appear with the launch titles, it still resounds deep within my mortal coil to this day, even though it's not what the arcade was, you could HAVE it. You'll never understand this if you didn't experience it. Super Hang-on, Outrun, Afterburner II, and Space Harrier where some of the greatest Arcade games in Video Game history and represent one of the great leaps like Space Invaders, Pac-Man, BattleZone, Super Mario Brothers, and The Legend of Zelda these where important events in our lives. 4.) Road Rash II 5.) Streets of Rage 2 6.) Street Fighter 2 7.) Castle of Illusion 8.) World of Illusion 9.) Strider 10.) Ecco the Dolphin Honorable mentions: Contra Hard Corps, Gunstar Heroes, maybe I'll get into them now that I got this, never played them much, obviously they look like good quality games and I loved NES Contra. Wonder Boy and Monster World IV...played the arcade game for Wonderboy allot in the old days and then again through emulation with my Sanwa, just feels cool, so I checked this series out on PC Engine and Genesis a bit and in definitely going to on the mini. Light Crusader is based on a more action oriented arcade game called Dungeon Magic I think, so I'd like to check that out...they say "Light bringer" it's original incarnation was never released in America but we had one at our Aladdin's Castle, or maybe at Wal-Mart, because I remember them changing the name on the cabinet. Vectorman seems alot cooler to me now than it did back when techno was not dead yet. I guess I forgot Super Fantasy Zone, which I do love. I actually play some of these puzzle games, but NES Tetris is leagues better than this one. I seriously don't get Alex Kidd, Earth Worm Jim, Toe Jam and Earl, and Dynamite Heady...I just don't want to look at that, even if it's good. I'm not having my old lady come home and see me starring at that bullshit...I have some dignity left. The other games look cool though. Can't wait for a decent hack. Need some Vertical Shooters, M.U.S.H.A.! ...and Revenge of Shinobi what were they thinking! I'm excited to try the easier JP version of Dynamite Headdy. I played the hell out of that game but I may not be able to commit to getting that secret ending again.
Great mini...however, they really dropped the ball in one key area. They should have added Sega CD titles to the mix and a far to many of these games are already on compilations released many times over. I also have a Core Grafx Mini and man does it really do everything better than my Genesis Mini. Great video!
Actually disappointed with this collection snes mini had better games at least phantasy star 4 was.pust on here along with sonic 2 I would of rather had less games that are great then a bunch of filler games and did we really need altered beast that shitty game has been ported to everything
