My heart goes out to all ya'll in Texas. I've been watching a lot of videos from Texan's trying to stay warm and offer help when I can. Stay warm and keep well, darlin!
You voice is absolutely amazing. You should totally do some voice acting. Great video. Very helpful. I just got caught up in the Texas power disaster and I would have loved your food prep.
This was a great video. I'm not a hard core prepper, but the recent outage in Texas made me want to stock up on a few more things. U just made my list a little longer. Thanks for the information.
Those are spice container magnets. They are now on the side of the fridge because I kept knocking them off when I slammed the door shut. I'm hard on stuff. :-/
Thank you for this informative video! I'm assembling a kit like yours for me and my parents because in Mexico we've been having blackouts too (not only near the border but also close to Mexico City).

While I like the video and agree with your build, I don't agree with your thoughts on the Baofeng ham radio. Yes you can use them without license in an emergency, but, in a no power blackout situation the repeaters that transmit your signal for greater distance may not be working. So therefor your 5 watt handheld radio won't get out more than a mile, and that's with a better antenna than those duckies that come with them, these are more for man to man communication in close range.
A mile is better than no miles? I feel the Baofeng is a starter ham to get people thinking about alternative communication devices on a budget, mostly because prepping is so expensive and we have other prepper items to accumulate. A powerful handheld ham is very costly, but you are correct. If prepper communication is your focus, you should definitely invest more money into it. :-)
Like the man said get a gun could more likely if they're breaking in they have one and do not be afraid to shoot that gets you killed and your family well you seen TV

What are the round magnets you have stuck on your refrigerator?

"One sonic door jammer goes right here in front of the side door." (Made of glass anyone could just break and step through.) 😆 lol. Great video.
Very true, but the sound of breaking glass would act as it's own alarm, eh? ;-) Cheers!
@@PrepperRuss yeah, good point. 💛
ooooh fire gone. i'm going to add that to my cart.
Get your alcohol & cigs you know the "essentials"
Way Kool. Good Job. I enjoyed your video. Thanks.
thanks my friend
You’re cool
😆Friggin hilarious! You crazy mane!🤪
Crazy for prepping! :)
Great idea......first rule......never use a black bag .......for a black out bag.......LOL
Right? lol
many good ideas! the problem for me is, can’t estimate hoe many batteries and other power sources like gas cans i will need per day.
i store 10 gallons of gas, which would give me about 2 weeks of generator power. 50 AA and 50 AAA batteries too.
Prepper Russ thank you very much!
Gotta protect the beans and spam!!
I wish I had a copy of that list. Can you post it here?

haha. you caught that, eh?
@@PrepperRuss lol.. good vid man funny but informative.
It is the way. Keep the food safe, Yoda will.
That orange tabby looked just like my feline son
Very informative! Are the lights go on with animals? Or are they set only for humans?
my local cats and possums set them off too, because they have a wide range.
@@PrepperRuss I got 5 cats looking.for led light that won't "catch" animals , is there any?
@@PrepperRuss Russ, where to get these sonic door jams?
@@danielpawowski9965 Amazon. they are essential for home protection in black outs.
@@danielpawowski9965 if they wont catch animals, they wont catch people so best to have them catch everything, right? :-)

And that lampshade to put on your head if you're listening to a certain country singer. FAR from optional! 💜
No wonder, that so many shootings take place in the US. Since civilians are able to get all kinds of guns pretty easy...
I'm very concerned about that
