Today I am leaving Ulaanbaatar and flying in Mongolian Airlines (MIAT) new business class to Frankfurt. This flight will be on Mongolian Airlines new 787-900 Dreamliner, delivered just a few weeks prior to my trip. MIAT is expanding its fleet and route network so it was interesting to get a feel of the product they offer. I enjoyed this flight. and found it to be great value for money.
    Thanks for watching

    About me:
My name is Mark and I am from the UK.
In 2022 I sold my business after fifteen years of hard work and very few holidays. I immediately set out to make sure I enjoyed a well-earned ‘midlife crisis’. As I am too fat to fit in a Porsche, I settled quickly instead on going to the places I have dreamt of visiting, in airplane seats that I can fit in.
I wanted to experience and share the best of First and Business class travel, luxury hotels and interesting destinations without the influence of sponsors or financial reward. I hope my videos will be informative and inspire your own future travels.

Mongolian Airlines are modernising their fleet of aircraft with the introduction of a 787 and a new business class. I enjoyed my flight with them, I hope you enjoy the video of my experience ✈

A massive step up from last year's aircraft offering.

Did you fly on the 767?

@@lordoftheflights yes. In fact I flew on two different 767s. First off from Frankfurt to UB, after booking MIAT changed to a wet-leased 767 in a cheaper format that had less business class seats that were very basic in their facilities - not even any IFE. On the return leg I was on MIAT's own 767, which was a lot better but still basic by today's standards. It was OK for the money a world away from their new 787.

Indeed - we flew the 767 on the outbound leg after a last minute change from the 787. Great to see a small airline making such a big jump in their product though! Thanks for watching!

Is it fully reclinable so you can lay down and sleep?

For a resource rich country, modern Mongolia has done little in the way of public transport.
