Editor’s note: For those who are wondering why the Disney Channel watermark at 0:54 is visible, and why the clip was low quality, I didn’t know at the time of editing that there was a high quality version of that clip. Whoops.
0:30, 2:02 and 2:34: *YES, AT LAST!* We need TBOM clips to feature in the 3985 and 4014 videos because I’m sure the Union Pacific needs a good old Pesky treatment.
Yeah, and I hated it when I had to look for these clips. That is, until I found the ones that proved to be less cringey than I originally thought they would be. Then I started liking the idea of using them again, but that would make you want to boss me around more, so that is where I draw the line. Okay maybe it was because I had so much pressure I had to let off some steam, but the point still stands.
@@kaseyleitchnextgen3281 Well now that I think about it I do have a couple of surprises for future nutshells, but that’ll have to wait until the next upload.
@justincollins8266 I don’t see how that could be “bad news” if the whistle installed on the 4014 sounds just as epic as 844’s. It’s also no surprise that in 1981 the 844 also had another Big Boy whistle, which I can’t guarantee if it’s from 4014 and yet they all still sound the same. After all, I did add the “S” in “Whistles” in the title of the video, clearly signifying that the 844 has more than one whistle. That is, during different years when the audio was recorded and when the 844 was still active. Speaking of which, at the moment I posted this video, the 844 is still absent from pulling excursions, while Big Boy 4014 does the honors pulling these excursions during the 844’s absence. I know this is a bit of a stretch but it’s something I wanted to point out, that’s all.
Denied for both! For the first one, the whistle is too weak for me to use. Even if I raised the pitch, I would’ve used the same clip over and over again, and that won’t do. And for the second one, there isn’t much audio for the UP 5511. Except for that one with the HO scale version of that locomotive, and the real life locomotive is still in the process of restoration and hasn’t tested its whistle yet.
@olawunmifadipe2626 Last time I checked, there are other Star Brass 5 chime whistles which others claim that they are from 5511, but I’ll wait until the 5511 gets restored and then I will make a nutshell video on that.
What I mean to say is that just because they have different wheel arrangements doesn’t technically mean that they are “brothers.” If they were then the 3985 would still be called a Big Boy, except it isn’t. It’s a Challenger type given the fact that it has 2 sets of 6 drivers while the Big Boy has 2 sets of 8.

At least 844 has the spotlight
Which is why this video finally stands alone.
I like :D
EARLY TO A FAST FREIGHT PRODUCTIONS VIDEO?!
What do you mean, you posting comments early? I don’t understand what you mean exactly to be honest.
*Followed by **#844**'s drviers slipped*
Where? When I was recording the shots with the 844, the drivers certainly did not slip.
At last 844 its on its own
I know right? Finally!
@@T128Productions bad news: if the clips are from 2011-current, it’s 4014’s whistle on 844, 4014’s whistle is more “grunt-like”

@justincollins8266 yep he's right 844 has a whistle that sounded like 4014 up until its boiler tube failure in 1999

Why does it always have to be before GTA 6? There are other things that could come in that time such as Zootopia 2 and Toy Story 5.

Do 4005's whistle next :D
Nah, 3985’s next.
Why request a loco that is the same class as the 4014?
I just like 4005 it has nice whistle like with every engine

Eventually.
For now, 3985, 4014's brother, is next.
@andrewpadillo9230 Wouldn’t the 4014 technically be 3985’s cousin? They may not be the same class but they did work for the same railroad after all.
