This weapon is fantastic. Used for my second run with my char that used mohgwyn sacred spear in the basegame (80 arc and like 24ish strength when i started using it; maybe had to level strength some lol. By mid-late dlc had gotten to 54). Initially wanted to use dragonscale gavel but that's only accessible after bayle so wanted a weapon to use in the meantime. And ended up liking this one way more than the gavel and sticking with it. Made final boss much much much more manageable than first run (and now after like 5 or 6 it's pretty manageable period). Wish there were more weapons like this, amazing moveset and mobility. Good for deflecting too since its a heavy weapon meaning both good guard and good guard counters. One thing that i found really cool tech with this was white light charge -> r1 sometimes when not enough time or wrong angle for the explosion. Plus it is usually sufficient to kill normal enemies and saves some FP. Dont remember exactly the other situations I used that in but yeah. And congrats on 16 yrs, that's crazy
Charge into R1 is great tech! Fights with super mobile bosses like messmer made it difficult to land the explosion follow up. The AoE really is not as big as it seems. I can't believe myself I've been on youtube for so long. I still clearly remember making my first channel all the way back in 2009!
I overall really enjoyed them! The only two that I didn't really love were putrescent Knight and Gaius, but they're still better than some of the worse base game bosses. Messmer is my favorite fight in the game, and I think the Scadutree Avatar is underrated!
@@the_jersey_side Rellana, Messmer and Romina are absolutely top tier for me personally. I'll be honest, I think presentation for bosses in this game, let alone the dlc, is in large part why Fromsoft is the current industry king of boss-crafting. It's stellar without fail. While I hate the Radahn fight because I'm a filthy normie soy jack or whatever, his animations, visual design, and that music, man? Goddamn that's good.
@amcname8789 Radahn has my favorite part of the OST now by far. While I like the fight, it really conditions you to stick to his right and dodge left for ~80% of the moves. That cross slash move is very difficult to dodge if you're facing him head on
Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear will work very well with this stat spread, except it will deal physical and fire damage instead of physical and magic. A pure physical option would be the Great Omenkiller Cleaver. This would be pure physical, but on a poison or occult infusion, it'll do great status build up!

Are there any other weapons that scale similarly? I’m thinking about using a larval tear for this!

Marais executioner sword and Regalia of Eochaid are both physical/magic weapons that scale on str/arc.
Putrescence cleaver is str and arc and pretty cool. And you can do cool builds like using the rotten great hammer n a str arc build
