    I was recently thinking about how I used to get hot oil treatments & dooby wraps, remember that era? No… baby 🙄 lol. So my stylist used hot oil of course & setting/wrapping lotion with the big rollers on top 😂😂 “ i was the flyest thing walking through junior high school “. I specifically remember when I was working in a shop with a cosmetologist that had been doing my hair a good part of my life told me that the old school stylist used wrapping lotion as a “touch up” relaxer. She told me that in my transition to go completely natural. Fast forward 5 years when I decided to be a straight natural, my mommie got me a bottle of lotta body setting lotion, the edge tamer & the curl lotion. Those products alone are my reason for going to sallys lol. I absolutely love your results & I pray they sponsor you because this is a secret that only the old school, me & you know 😂😂 Do me a favor, try to actually wrap your hair with it & sit under a dryer, this is my method. Just try it, doesn’t have to be on camera, we have VERY similar hair. I think you might benefit from it. 💙💙

    I too have a Remington. I had it for years before ever using it. I am old school and had only used pressing combs and marcel flat irons. I thought electric flat irons were made for non-Afro-textured hair. In fact, I hear the early models weren’t manufactured to get hot enough to straighten Black hair.
    Anyway, I love my Remington ceramic flat iron. I recently upgraded, however, and bought a Chi. I chose that brand because it had all the features I was looking for and wasn’t wildly expensive. The only downside is it’s only 1.5” wide and not 1.75” or 2”. I haven’t used it yet, but I’m anticipating it will take longer to straighten my hair than it takes to use my 2” Remington. ❤

    • @jaidanielle
      @jaidanielle  Год назад +3

      Girllll CHI is it! I love mine. Mine is a 1”, it works really good, but they gotta be forreal. The prices have gotten crazy lol. Remington literally gives me the same results.

    • @hereforit2347
      @hereforit2347 Год назад

      @@jaidanielle: I can see that there wouldn’t be much noticeable difference in results. Most flat irons are made pretty much the same.
      The Remington I have is a discontinued Wet2Straight model. It’s digital, but the way the buttons are placed on the outside, I’m constantly accidentally turning it off or changing the temperature which is annoying. The controls on my Chi, which is also digital, are on the inside. Plus, the numbers on my Remington are 1-30, so it is hard to know what the actual temperature is. Both flat irons are ceramic which is all I use. 🥰

    I am African and I hold the same view. The main reason is hygiene, some are also spiritual,while others are personal or traditional preferences.
    First, there is fact that in this life there is a right place for everything like there is a right time for everything. Food cleansing and preparation does not carry with it spiritual dirt, but bodily does, and it will not be cleansed by the best cleaning agents and sanitizers. Its kinda like when your partner cheats on you and then has a shower, no different then he does after being intimate with you, but you still feel that he is dirty and the relationship or intimacy is ruined. Why? Because they are still dirty, though the dirt that is left is spiritual, the only difference is that it is one that many can still pick up.
    Another example of the spiritual stuff is like bathing a baby, it cannot be done in a place where grownups also cleanse, because that may harm the baby's spiritual shield/aura. Or taking a baby under 3/6 months to public places or letting just any adult touch or hold a baby whose spiritual cleanliness you may not be aware of is not advised because they can easily taint or negatively affect a baby's spirit and purity. This why the purity of many in the West is lost early especially through what they are allowed to watch on TV. BTW - baby's are washed in a baby bath tub or set apart basin in their mother's rooms or their room.
    If you still don't understand, read the cleansing routines in the old testament till the Holy Spirit gives you revelation on why things were considered defiled, its no different now just because we are living under grace, because grace just gives us the advantage of having our spirit that connects to the Holy Spirit give us a gut knowing that we are better of not doing certain things which can be made plain to us if we ask God why.
    There is a lot that the West has got going for it, but spiritual alertness is not one of them, because too many have been too desensitized by the institutions and trends they are caught up in, but that day is soon coming right here on earth when each man will be bound or freed by their choices, so please pay attention to the truth that frees - it is the Word of God and The Holy Spirit Who leads mankind into all truths.
    Nice press though 😍
