My daughter and I had the pleasure of meeting Chris twice this year, in Indianapolis and Cincinnati. Super-nice guy, and upon inspecting her padauk N4 that she brought to have Nuno sign, he was able to identify it as one he personally built. She was thrilled to learn that. 😀

That Claro Walnut is really cool. For those getting these, if you really want what Nuno's using on his guitars, you need to put a Kahler Steeler on it. Not sure why Washburn doesn't do that.

I love the Washburn N4 and 4N, I have 2 but the problem with these current guitars is that they come configured incorrectly from the factory and you have to take it to the luthier. There are also different neck profiles throughout the year and it is not comfortable, my 4N has a 43mm nut and the N4 has 42....43mm is crazy!!!! very uncomfortable.
Bought an N4 in 1994. Prolly 1993 made. The fret dressing was aweful cutting my thumb all the time, the schaller bridge didn't last, the ebony cracked and split(my fault), body had a huge knot.The wood craftmanship and precision was spectacular, that part I appreciate.

5:05 You meant to say an “Original Floyd Rose,” not “real,” correct? It seems as if he should’ve known full well what you meant. In any event, it’s a damn shame Washburn has always struggled. They’re one of only two builders who still utilize the Buzz Feiten Tuning System-an underrated feature. Anyway, I love factory tours, so kudos.
