      Nilly Sigger Your name is an ignorant spoonerism and an offensive attempt at humor. Or it could be that you’re simply a racist and not brave enough to honestly present yourself to the world in that way. On behalf of humanity, please consider changing it.

      @Nilly Sigger you think you're allowed to joke about whatever you want . . . on youtube?
      Why are racist people always idiots? Oh right. Racism is stupid.

    • @sauce1101
      @sauce1101 5 лет назад +2

      @Nilly Sigger I have to assume you were too young to be alive then, or just too stupid to rationally evaluate, but "they" didn't say whatever they wanted without consequences anymore when I was a child then now.
      Be specific, what did they say that you feel you can't say?

    By my count, there are 16 pedals on Dan’s board, not counting the tuner, the Wetter Boxes, the Expression Pedals, and the Amaze0 Remote. It’s my understanding that the Wetter Boxes combine two pedals into one set of input/outputs, which would mean then that there are 14 sets of input/outputs to account for. Given that the G2 has the capability to handle only 10 sets of input/outputs, can you please talk about which 4 pedals are not connecting to G2 directly, how they are arranged (i.e. before or after G2), and why, during your next Q&A?
    Thank you all for the consistently great and informative videos that you guys keep putting out. The tones that I’m able to achieve now, thanks to your supreme tutelage, are light years ahead of anything I’ve been able to get in the last 20 years of playing. Keep up the great work, I think you guys are awesome (but my bank account hates you)!

    Not since Mick’s solo psychedelic jam has a bit of playing on TPS been so aww inspiring, Dan’s “EasyJet” outro was outstanding! Loved the episode!! Thanks

    That little bit where Mick clarifies that Dans gainstacking was not about getting louder but adding different textures depending on the songs requirements was an ear-opener to me. Even with only two gain stages available on my board and a re-discovered guitar volume knob this may become my new approach to getting the right tone at the right time. Another great show - thank you so much!

  • @nwhittenburg
    @nwhittenburg 5 лет назад +26

    So much going on here but what caught my eye is when Mick lifts the top to tweak the rattler, the highlight of the pedal is perfectly matched with the movement! Amazing editing, this attention to detail is part of what makes this show special.

    @nwhittenburg 5 лет назад +7

    On behalf of your American fans, thanks for the clips from the show with Joey Landreth! I love hearing Dan play over 12 bar blues. He’s not bound only by the classic moves, he sounds like himself while clearly knowing how to navigate the structure. Inspiring playing man!

  • @zekestaats7557

    Awesome job with the masking on the rattler at 22:21! I had to watch it a few times. As mick opens the board up, the masking slides up the pedal. Brilliant!

    Amazing as always. My request would be to hear Dan speak about the pedals that didn’t make this board, and the rationale for your choices. Lastly, thank you for all that you do to inspire thousands of aspiring musicians around the globe! - Bill from Denver

    Looks & Sounds great Dan. I'd get Lost with that many ( choices & options ) of Gain Stages, but you seem to make-it-work. ( for me ) I go Fender squeaky-clean, Fulltone OCD with strat-volume rolled-back, Fulltone OCD full-on, OCD stacked with Thorpy Fallout Cloud = my gain stages - You guys have taught me So Much . . . over the years.

    Probably the first "spaceship" pedalboard I've seen that actually took me to another galaxy (especially with the looping at the end there). Every single pedal worked so well with the others, and even when many were on at once, Dan (and even Mick for a bit there) could easily ride that line between order and chaos without the board taking over. Amazing build Dan, now you've got me inspired to build a little spaceship of my own.

    Mick’s face at 57:20 when he turns his guitar volume down - “Want One!!” Fabulous sounds Dan. Don’t get a Pro Jr for the Dry in the middle though, get a Princeton, then you’ll be able to add a little reverb + tremolo to your dry signal.... not kidding. I would. I love the whole Wet/Dry thing. Sound awesome and retains clarity, even if it’s more of a Moist/Damp rig in your case Dan.

    Great show guys, thanks for the gig clips at the end. 👍
    For me one of the takeaways from this episode is personally I run my rig the complete opposite of how you guys do, 3 pedals (delay/trem/klon boost) into the front of a crunchy amp, but your show is always great viewing just to here the awesome tones and even if big boards aren’t your thing there, are still great pieces of information and tips to learn.
    Thanks again.

    A couple things: 1) the "dual mono wet" on Dan's board should forevermore be called the "wetty wetty", and 2) Dan's exploration with the Red Panda Tensor has most definitely boosted sales of that pedal! Great stuff and a great return these past couple weeks to your meat and potatoes of focusing on pedals-- although I really appreciate the branching out to other "non-pedal, yet still guitar and music-creation" oriented videos. A great way to keep it fresh for everyone who loves this show (including yourselves, of course!) Love you guys-- keep up the great work!!!

    I have had to watch and listen to this one a few times. This is a very refined - yet bad ass rig. Sophisticated, but properly rockin' What a master. What you have done with modulation is very creative - and beautiful. I love that things stay articulate throughout all of the things you kick in, etc. All your amps are great, but just love that Matchless. Loved the playing, too. I know I'm late to the party, but Bravo! You know what you want and you brought it to life.

    Hey guys, I would love a MacGyver-themed episode. I’ve heard you humming enough American TV theme songs to know you understand what I mean... stretching the capabilities of your gear and getting it to do things it wasn’t intended to do. I was just rewatching the early show on short delays and love how Mick was experiencing things for the first time. I’d like to see what you guys have in your bag of tricks or what new things you could innovate to surprise each other with some forgotten piece of gear. Thanks as always for such great content.

    It's tough to see that red dot NKT sun face there, just last night I was drooling over the analogman sun face comparison video again. Red dot NKT would definitely be my choice of weapon as well. Too bad the NKT275 isn't a thing anymore, as close as the red dot NKT sounded in the test. At least I've got JHS Andy Timmons in mail ready to be picked up. Thanks to you guys for introducing that too. And for the Guv'nor, Andy Timmons and Angry Charlie comparisons, made it really easy to decide on that.

    Ps: Mick please .. if you're too scared to change anything in "Blue" don't do it, I understand she's your baby.
    Just buy a used Mexican Strat and do the comparison of the pickups on that.. The fact that it is a random guitar will probably resonate with more people that can afford the same, I believe. Anyway we are hanging on this for too long.. 😰

    Somewhat unrelated and definitely nitpicking (so please don’t take this rudely) but you guys should see if you can hook up a dimmer switch to that pedal that lights up with your logo. As it is now, it’s more of a light blob. The logo would show up better on camera if it were dimmed a little I think.

    Having heard that rig in person (I'm just out of shot at the end,) I'd love to see a video on the Matchless amp like your other gear videos you've done. Also, how does the Morgan AC compare?

    E.P.I.C. Well worth the wait! I love that there's no sense of compromise in this rig, carrying a tape delay to gigs is commitment! Excited to hear what other projects you're been working on Dan.

      The Broadcast is based off a Neve board. I went with the dual switch Broadcast over the Benson, because Its got that Beatles Revolution fuzz-ish sound.

      It’s pretty deep and quite painful because you truly have to let go of your ego, your grudges and probably most of your relationships. And it requires a fundamental change of perspective. I’m part way there - getting there completely will probably take the rest of my life. But it is the way to be for me anyway. Good luck!

    Epic. Fun to watch the build. Then the tones were even better. Then Dan goes off with an incredible outro showing off the Tensor. Just when I was about to shut it off, there’s live footage with the boys and Joey Landreth?!?! I died... Great great playing Dan
