    What I think APR should do is offer a complete upgrade kit. Yes they do a turbo, fuel and software kit but wouldn't it be awesome to have a kit that comes with crank, pistons, big turbos and even more. I think they should do this because some DIY back yard mechanics don't always know compatible parts. If they did a one stop kinda deal I would all over that. Reason I say this, don't we all want more and more power well they should have kits that replace every last bolt on or in the motor with ARP bolts and it would also be awesome to not be forced to use ko4 turbos and use bigger and better.

    @fish10782 Fish, unfortunately the information you've requested, we do not give out. You would not need this information either as we do not offer custom tuning for different turbos or injectors. We also do not sell our Stage 3 hardware separately from our kit unless you've already purchased the kit and need replacements. We do this so people don't call up, figure out what we are using, and then buy the parts either from us or from other sources when making their own kits.

    @imreloadin2 Software is included and no dyno tuning is required! We've spent months upon months creating switchable software which will work for 91 octane, 93 octane or 100 octane. If you are outside the US, we have programs for 95 ron, 98 ron and 104 ron. All you need to do is install the kit and we install the software on your ECU. It's all plug and play with no adjustment required on your end. :-)

    @DTM690 The kit includes the downpipe all the way under the car. If your existing downpipe splits just before the catalyst, it's possible it would be used with our system.

    The intercooler and full exhaust my be added ala carte. Since many people upgrade these two items before upgrading to the full kit, we give you the option to purchase them separately so you're not stuck with extra parts.

    @carbon310 The stage 3+ Upgrade kit is for existing stage 3 customers so they can upgrade to stage 3+.

    my question is is why after so many years is this kit still more expensive than a full rebuild for my 98 audi a4

    Your right a K04 wouldn't snap a rod immediately, but the abrupt onset of the torque curve is what is gonna snap the rod more readily. A lot of people have and are running 300wtq on stock rods, but they tuned the car correctly so the torque comes on smooth. It's all about how the car is tuned. Flat out.

    To all the people asking, stock internals are good until roughly 300awhp and 300awtq. Of course you can snap a rod with a K04 just because the torque spike is more abrupt and less smooth. Overall, it all comes down to how you tune the car. Keep the boost down until you can afford to upgrade your internals and you shouldn't have a problem.

    @TheVorrhees thax for the info bro....i was thinking of getting the stage 3 and get a forge BOV/DV instead of stock but was worried about it messing with the MAF. anyways i think ill get an aftermarket flywheel and clutch aswell to handle that HP

    A K04-xxx or a GT2860(RS) are going to be your rod killers. A sudden abrupt spike of boost is common with them and thats what gets rods. If you are walking the line be sure to install an MBC in parallel with your N75 to prevent the spikes. Race versions (old crappy,slow reacting) of the N75 shouldn't be used.
    A 50 trim with its journal bearings is the safest bet for guys looking for decent power (+320 whp) on stock internals. They are slower reacting than GT series turbos.

    I own a 2004 audi a4 1.8t with APR tuning k04 end down pipe my car is not pass 128 mph any tips I SPEND MORE THEN 1000.00 DOLLARS ON SOFTWARE IT SEEMS VERY SLOW,from 170 hp to 240 hp more like not really, advice please do I need a high flow fuel pump end filter advice thank you,

    I like it. I have a -04 Seat Leon Cupra R with a 1.8T BAM vvt motor. it's a FWD car only. Would I be able to fit this ?

    @APRVideos hi, i hear that there is a problem with fitting the kit on right hand drive cars (UK) something to do with the exhaust manifold not fitting correctly.. is this true? if so, have you found a way around this?

    I believe that this kit is around $3000+, quite a lot of money, but I think it's worth every penny. I would get invest in this kit rather than buy a new car. go APR.

    hunter says its 5.4k, i see an internal waste gate on that turbo, no diverter valve included in kit either? That's a lot for an internal wastegate.. Or am I just missing something, nice kit overall though.

    hey APR!! which kit would you prefer me on my a3 1.8T with enginecode APP. Engine is stock. How much hp/torque would the engine hold without any changes? I'm looking foreward to buying one of your turbo-kits with the max hp/torque my engine can take without any changes...!

    i am very interested on the kit for my 2008 GTI FSI. how much is the kit. my car is Stage 2 from a different chip company besides APR, can i still buy the kit and install it? i currently have a full system eurojet exhaust 3" tbe. would i have to replace that with the APR exhaust that comes with the kit?

    1. I have an Audi A4 1.8t ATW. Would an AEB head fit and is it worth it? I have your stg1 software already. 2. If I get my own injectors, turbo and everything else can you make a custom file or am I left to fend for myself?

    Hi, Im confused with some comments. I am planning to get the B6 1.8T as a second car cuz my 2.8 V6 A4 eats way too much gas. I am more concerned with fuel economy but I do see myself shelling out ~$500 or so for the stage 1+ tune. Then work my way up since its also ecomical on my wallet. I probably wont get to stage 3+ but are you guys saying I wont be able to go to stage 3+ unless i buy a new complete kit? Or can I just buy the remaining parts I need to go from stage 2+ to stage 3+ ??? thanks!

    I have e big problem for APR upgrade, I have Skoda Octavia A5 1.9 TDI and put on the up grade ECU, but the problem is that broten the turbo and inyectors and very espensive repair the mechanic pices.
    I don’t like the APR that broken the motor

      Hunter Lane Ditch the 1.8T and get a MK7 GTI.....get 340HP with just an intake and downpipe with a tune. Night and day difference over my old 1.8T Jetta GLI.

      yeah!! uhm the next "new" car tht I will purchase, if I ever do would have to be the new golf R the mk7 gen. thats 400hp with the intake, down pipe, and stg2+ and AWD…and for some reasons keep looking at E46 M3's…my currnt car is a mk41.8t, stg2+ tune, R32 interior and the 337 lips and skirts that ive had for like 5yrs now and want something new really bad...

      Dana Rouleau Personally don't like newer body styles (on pretty much ANY car). The Mk4 is about a pretty as they come.

      I feel the same, I still love the mk2 golf, and the mk4 337 / 20AE / R32 body style, not to mention that gen's R, best interior and seats the VW ever put into a golf…that is whi I'd even consider just keeping my mk4...

    In norway the insurance company dont cover mods. If i spend 10k on a new paintjob, engine upgrade etc etc, i wont get my money back for it if the car gets totaled. It might be possible to buy a special insurance, but a standard one dont cover it. It will give you money for the same car, with no mods.

    Is it possible to put a twin turbo system on a gti. I got to thinking about it and that would be a rocket on 4 wheels. Seriously though has anybody got a twin turbo system on their GTI obvisously not stock.

      ***** o ok because I got to thinking that kit puts 448 hp total on the stock gti, so that would be close to 700 with a twin turbo setup.

      Yeah but the 1.8t is much easier to work on vs the S4. Especially the dreaded rear timing chain guides that fail on the V8 and the 2.7t version has very little room to access the turbos. If don't mind more work and cussing (and paying more) get the S4 ;)

    called apr the other day to find out what cc the injectors were. the guy was an assgolbin to me and said they don't release that info to the public. pretty sure the guy just said 550cc. none the less they were total ass holes to deal with, wont sell you the turbo studs for the manifold. I asked to see if they can get bigger injectors and the guy argued with me and said I put a to big of a turbo on and I'm S.O.L fuck apr.... however it sure did run good
