@@Deikoka my skin is combinations, it honestly depends on the climate at this point. Basically vaseline acts as a barrier, which will prevent new breakouts. What i do is wash my face with charcoal soap and apply vaseline while my face is still wet. The vaseline will hold in the moisture. I apply more at night than i do in the day. It takes time tho so be patient. Hope this helps

      Hey, thanks for the reply.
I use biore rose quartz and charcoal face wash with the rotating face brush. (Idk what u call it. Lol) and ever since I had my NOW 3yr old son, I stopped wearing makeup bc I wanted to love on him and kiss him, so I tapped out of makeup. However, Mascara is the exception. And cocoa butter chapstick. That's it. I used to dab foundation under my eyes for brightness, but ever since I started using that biore face wash I mentioned above, aw man, I have seen some really good improvement as to where I no longer put it under my eyes anymore. My skin oily, naturally. I used to hate it until a few older women told me I'm lucky and it's a blessing bc I'm less likely to wrinkle when I age. Which I kinda believe, since my mom and my grandma (when they were alive) had flawless skin. Elasticity is what I'm referencing to. But thanks.
You said it takes time, eh? HOW MUCH TIME? 😅😅😅 Lol.

On BBC Iplayer theres a documentary called 'The Truth About Skin' which is a part of a series where they talk about the truth about topics such as health, they basically exposed the skincare industry for being a scam and showed that the whole point of a moisturiser isn't that it gives you moisture but that it keeps your natural moisture from leaving, they looked at studies and did their own, which showed that the thicker the cream the better the results, nivea cream beat a £200 moisturiser. So it makes sense that vaseline works because it's so thick, I have acne and the only thing that helps it is to be on the pill but it sometimes flares up randomly but ever since I've added Nivea cream and vaseline to my skin routine it hasn't been breaking out at barely at all, I also use it for my body which is extremely dry and it has saved my skin!! Highly recommend everyone to use any thick creams they can find, the only ones I know about is nivea and vaseline, they are cheap and work really well. Also the nivea that's I'm the metal tin not the plastic one, for some reason the ones in the plastic packaging isn't as thick?? Lovely video as always and I'm glad it's working for you too.

Hey. It's ironic u made a video about this bc years ago, I used to cake makeup on my face. As u can see in my thumbnail. And more than enough times, I would frequently run into this old lady in my neighborhood store and she would constantly tell me I'm beautiful and didn't need a lot of makeup. I would tell her how I suffered from acne and it left spots and marks and I would wear foundation to cover it. She swore by noxema and vaseline. I told her my skin was extremely oily and I didn't want to use vaseline.
Well, I would see her often for years, and she kept telling me the same thing and I never wanted to try it. Up until yesterday to be exact. I went and bought noxema and I said to myself, maybe I will try it. But I still didnt yet. Basically, I preferred my 100% raw shea butter. But earlier, something told me to just try it. And now I'm seeing this video in my notification.

I just steered clear of it since I already have the oiliest skin ever from the neck up. My face always look oily, like 10 mins after I wash it. I used to get upset about it, but I've accepted it now. I have a few family members and I also see celebrities who buy foundations and skin creams to create a dewy look. And I have it naturally. Lol. Interesting video! I've been using Retin-A for over 20 years and I've had 3 rounds of Accutane over the course of 12 years. I went from having oily acnetic skin to dry skin so I completely understand wanting to combat flaky skin. But, vaseline is an occlusive product. It doesn't add moisture or penetrate into the skin. There are great oils that are extremely moisturising and will nourish the skin. Jojoba oil, marula oil (high in fatty acids), almond oil (high in vitamin A), rosehip oil (high in fatty acids and will fade acne marks), argan oil (high in vitamin E), and extra virgin olive oil. These are all my go to oils for face, hair and body. I use to be a Licensed Massage Therapist so spent a lot of time studying holistic health using oils, herbs and natural supplements.

@@SherelleSaintRose It's been a great journey! I have used so many products (prescription, Drugstore, high-end and natural) over the years for acne and hyperpigmentation, but Retin-A has consistently proven effective. When I first started it, I used it for acne and cell turnover. Now, I rarely have a breakout so I use it for wrinkle prevention and overall skin clarity. Over time, it will even out your complexion. The drawbacks: it will make your skin sensitive to the sun and irritable to stronger products. It may also make your skin sensitive to waxing and threading. I get little microcuts around my eyebrows from threading but they don't leave scars.
