Thank you for replying so quickly. I have been watching your journey as I started mine in October. I love your channel Marcea it feels like having a support buddy whilst following your journey. Can i ask do you take the extra dose at the end of the pen? I know its a bit controversial but wondered what your thoughts are.
Hi Marcia, I have a question please… I started my journey on Friday and I have lost abit but I don’t get time to exercise will this affect my weight loss journey? 😢
Could you manage short exercise “snacks”? Some squats in the kitchen or when emptying the washing machine, a short walk at lunchtime, some press-ups on a wall? I hate exercise but I do it because it’s so important.
Hi! Exercise will always help, but it won't mean you won't lose weight. Everyone looses at different rates, so the best advice I would give is try not to compare to others and try to eat/drink well. I am in my 60s and sorry to say I've done very little exercise. Not good I know. BUT I think it's the main thing that will help me maintain when I finish my last pen in March. My losses have less than a pound many weeks and rarely more than a pound and a half. Good luck and wishing you a positive journey.
@@JimMcBob Thank you so much for your advice really helpful. I eat healthy and drink. My intake it’s a lot of protein and has helped me lose more than 1kg in 4 days not sure if it’s good? Xx
@@nehasdelicacies6714 hi there … firstly good luck with your journey. Glad your first week is going well. So you will lose weight without exercise but an important thing to think about is protecting against muscle loss. It’s why it is so important that some for of resistance training should be done whilst on a glp1. This does not need to be at the gym with weights. It can be a quick set of exercises at home using your body weight. There are lots of things to do on youtube or Instagram for example in just 10 minutes. I showed the other day in my vlog about doing press-ups against the worktop whilst the kettle is boiling or a few squats. The main reason on my opinion for helping keep strong muscles is that it will help you burn more calories at rest. It improves your metabolic health which will help you during maintenance. If you don’t do some sort of resistance training and lose a lot of muscle if you regain weight after you will be worse off compared to when you started. I can have a chat about this in a vlog if this will help. Check out Dr Tyna on RUclips - she has so much information about the importance of muscle Good luck hunny xxxxx
Hi all, week 20 for me and currently about to move up from 7.5mg to 10mg. Starting weight was 122.5kg and now 102.5kg. I’m pleased with my progress so far and my health is improving significantly. I have a long journey ahead which can be daunting at times but you guys keep me positive, thanks to Marcea ❤ I’m 60 years old 🎉 so I’m struggling with saggy skin and hair loss but it’s better than poor health 😂

Hi I'm 50 and started at the beginning of this month. I've lost 12lbs so far I started at 15st 12lbs. I was just worried about loose skin due to my age. I was wondering if you had any tips thanks.
@@ArgentoFan hi hun …. Well done on your weightloss so far. It can be a worry. I would advise losing weight at a slow steady pace, be well hydrated, exercise, apply body lotion, consider collagen supplements. Rapid weightloss is going to make it worse so just slow and steady sweetie. I suspect that your skin will likely show some signs of weightloss but all we can do is try and make it look as good as it can. Hope your journey goes smoothly xxx
I’ve been coping really well on my first month of 2.5mg. Lost a stone so something is working.Had my first 5mg injection on Sunday. I began with sulphur burps yesterday and last night I was up 5 times last night with diarrhoea, is this normal? Anyone else had similar?
@@kerrybrookes9603 oh no - sorry you are having these horrible side effects. Can I ask why you moved up dose when 2.5mg was working so well for you? I’m just interested. Thankfully I’ve not really had dreadful side effects and never had sulphur burps. First have a look at what you have eaten as this may be the cause. I would advise eating small amounts and keep away from any fatty foods. Imodium instants can help the diarrhoea. Stay well hydrated and if side effects continue out you are worried have a chat with your provider. Well done on your weight loss so far … hope the next few days are better for you xxx
Hi Kerry, 5mg effected me the same way. It helped taking note of the food I was eating and the time of day. I avoided them until it settled and concentrated on ensuring I was taking enough water throughout the day. It will settle as your body adapts. Seek advice from your provider about symptoms and dosing, they are obliged to help and advise you. Good luck x
I’ve been having a similar time. I month on 2.5 mg and lost 12lbs. So I’m not sure why I went to 5mg- just thought that was what you did! Then for 4 days had nausea, heartburn and didn’t eat much. I’ve started omeprazole and that’s helping with Rennie’s. Next dose will be back to 2.5mg.
Hi Marcia! You are doing soo welll!🎉can I ask you how your mounjaro provider will help with maintainance? Will you reduce your monthly doses and eventually stop taking mounjaro? I have started my journey 3 weeks ago and is going very well. Love watching your videos as you are always positive and very informative !!!🥰
@@Cookie1969x hi there, I’m going to be sharing my maintenance journey so I will definitely be talking about this more in future videos. Lots of providers have different policies so it’s useful early on to see what your providers says. These do change as more evidence comes out. Mine will continue to prescribe to a bmi of 23.5 and for 2 years from the start of journey. There are others that will offer life long prescriptions to a bmi of 19. I will be playing it very much by ear depending on how maintenance goes - I plan to reduce my doses but nothing is set in stone. Thanks so much for watching my videos 🫶🏻♥️
It's weird. I only have diarrhoea overnight. Night 3 last night 😢 and up about 7 times, absolutely fine in the day. I have no other symptoms though, no stomach pain, no nausea, no heartburn. Imodium are not having any effect at all. I'm dreading my next injection on Sunday 😮
No, not at all, although I had a small portion of chilli last night but other than that everything has been really healthy. I'm just hoping it's my body getting used to the 5mg. Other than a little headache at the beginning I've had no side effects whatsoever since starting a month ago. And yes, tried imodium instants. Went to the chemist for some Pepto Bismal today but they don't stock it. I'm perfectly fine in the day 🤔
@ has it just been this week since moving up dose? It may be the adjustment to your dose as you say. The chilli may have been a little responsible. Poor you xxx if not settling chat to your provider hun xxx

@@trishhickson1550 thank you so much so helpful. I do this home exercises but I don’t physically go to the gym xxx I am quite an active person. Xx
Check out Dr Tyna on RUclips - she has so much information about the importance of muscle
Good luck hunny xxxxx
We couldn't do it without you too. ❤️

Hi all, week 20 for me and currently about to move up from 7.5mg to 10mg. Starting weight was 122.5kg and now 102.5kg. I’ve been on 7.5 since December and my weight has stalled dramatically and efficacy only lasts a few days. I’ve tried changing injection sites but didn’t change anything.
@@MargaretYoung-g9h you are doing so well my darling. What a fabulous journey so far. I hope your new dose is better for you. Sometimes it can take a few weeks for it to show a difference so stick with it. So happy you are seeing the health improvements. Have a wonderful week xxx
@ thank you xx
@ my supplier suggested I move up so I’m going to try it. Just hope the symptoms don’t start up again x
@@ladymawa thank you for your reply, great advice.
@@ladymawathank you so much for your reply! Can' t wait to follow your maintance journey too! Huge well done Marcia🎉
Oh no. Are you eating anything fatty, fried or spicy? Have you tested the Imodium instants? I’ve found them the best. Hope it settles xxx
Go you! Whhooo hooo! 🎊
