Pretty slick that it can monitor output and input. Definitely a neat little gadget

I like the build, but had to do some of my own research on what relay I would need to use for low temperature cut-off. Maybe you could build out and show how it is done with this monitor for a budget LifePo4 battery that doesn't have low temp cut-off. Thanks for the review.

I’m going to try and get around to doing that….eventually

When you build out your testing board, I would like to see the monitor screen with both Charge and Discharge hooked up at the same time. Thanks for the video.

So I have a question you seem to understand this pretty well all the videos I have seen are using inverters I have a lithium battery in back of my suv to help Power my system subwoofers and amp. So the correct way to hook this up would be to put the shunt in between the lithium battery and my amplifier? Is that correct

That would be my guess, but I’ve never dealt with a car amp before with this type of setup.

I have been considering this shunt, thanks for making such a detailed video on it! In wish you showed the chart at the end of the video showing then discharging and charging over time. 1 question that I do have is, does this shunt data log? Ie if you walked away for a day then hooked your phone back up to it via Bluetooth, can you see what your system did the previous 24hrs?

As my system is not in use everyday, if you turn the shunt off to save any long term power drain on the battery, will it retain its settings?

    • @GearGadgetReviews

No, it will lose its last setting if you remove it from power. At least on this specific shunt.

I'm wondering if I hook the monitor into a kill switch, will it forget the battery stats and reset everything? I would use this on a boat and I wouldn't want to have the battery monitoring module empty the main battery it if I wasn't going boating for a while. I would really like to have it remember the main battery stats and the state of charge. Am I forced to buy a smaller external battery for the monitor that won't affect the main battery?

Say your inverter was a car audio amplifier. Would i hook this up the same way? Between the amp and secondary battery or between the secondary battery and the battery vehicle ground? In other words, which side of the battery or does it matter?

Can it be connected to batteries in parallel? Could you add the two batteries?

I just installed this battery monitor and was very happy with it at the start. I set the battery bank capacity to 300ah and when fully charged to 100%. Everything was good, but after a day I noticed that all readings were still the same. I turned off the charger, put on a few more LED lights and the monitor showed all these changes, but the app on my phone is stuck on the original settings. Even still showing it's charging when the charger is turned off.
Can't change any settings on the app, can't turn it off and can't disconnect, nothing, any ideas if you read this post, thanks in advance.
