So I made my first shaker card and it turned out beautiful except for one small problem......I noticed that one of my hairs had found there way into the shaker window. I could have cried. I put it away for a couples and decided to attempt the card again realizing it was just a fluke. So I once again made the card and once again believe it or not I managed to get a hair into the window ...how frustrating, but Im not one to give up. This time my hair was securely fastened into a bun completely....There was no way my hair was going to find its way into the 3rd attempt.....and it didn't!!!However, by dogs hair did.Its just not in the cards for my to do shakers!! haha...Just kidding like I said Im not a quitter....I did manage to finally get a hairless shaker card made!!YAY!!!
Such beautiful works of art. I've never been interested in making shaker cards until now. I have you to thank for that. You are the only person who has shaken it near the speaker so that I could hear it make its shaking noise. Bravo!!!❣❣❣ I love it. I'm a believer now. Thanks Justine 💖🤩🤗 God bless ❤ XOXO
I understand that most is advertising, as not many people have the money to buy all the stuff. For instance, I reuse all the clear plastic windows from toy boxes, yoghurt lid, or as well I use the laminate pouches and send them through without anything in it, just to make a window. people need to know other options. As well if you have background dies with heart's, stars etc, you can pick up the tiny shapes and save them in a container to use instead of store brought miniature segments.
I am trying to make 10 shaker cards for Christmas. The image is a snow globe with a boy and girl snowmen inside. I wanted to pop the globe up a bit higher so I am layering three layers of foam tape. I have to slice foam tape into three long slices, then layer them, then add them to the rim of the globe. Such a chore! I have a couple of minutes, so I clicked shaker cards on RUclips and it brought me to this video. Foam sheets!!! Brilliant!! Such wonderful hacks. I am writing this and peeling off the darn foam tape so I can use my dies to cut out 3 inch circles out of craft foam. Thank you!
Aw-w-w! You SHOULD be proud of the beautiful butterfly card! I loved your foam die cut frame technique to replace the sticky foam. And the hands of the world shaker card was just lovely! I am new to shaker cards making, but I'll be making many. TFS!
Thanks for sharing all these great ideas to make shakers! I agree with you, the butterfly card is gorgeous. I may have added some glitter or shimmer to the insert bfly die cuts, just for a little something extra ;) but that's me, I love me some glitter :D
Thanks for taking the fear out of making the shaker.......one hint.... I glued some of the special shaker elements to background .....like the butterflies so when not shaking some of the special elements show.....
Justine, super hacks and techniques. Absolutely appreciate your tutorials as always inspiring with a learning curve. You are sooo talented and creative.
I LOVE making shaker cards. They are my favorites. I am new to you and just stumbled on this video. THANK YOU so much for sharing! I WILL be using the techniques I have learned here!
Hi Justine 👋 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING SUCH A WONDERFUL TUTORIAL WOW I really loved all the cards if I had to choose it would be so hard I really loved the hands on card but I agree with you the butterfly card was my favorite too thanks for sharing your very lovely and talented work on u tube have a great weekend 💞🦋🎆👍 Lin in South Wales uk
Your videos are always a pleasure to watch. Crystal clear instructions and well narrated. I could listen to your voice for hours! And these cards were great! That butterfly card-swoon. Thank you for the inspiration.
Loved this video, so many innovative ways to make a shaker card. I've never wanted to make one, figured lots of work and it just get tossed anyway but... I've been looking for something fun and extraordinary for a wedding card that is mailable and haven't found anything until now. Not sure how I'm going to proceed as I need to think about it but I know I will be using you and this video as my resource. Thank you so much!
Wow, all your cards look sooo good! I love them all, but i think the butterfly and your hands cards are def my favs. Kinda off the beaten path and really interesting looking. I’ve yet to make a shaker card (as I’m still building my supplies), but you’ve inspired me to give it a go. Thanks so much and I’m glad you did this compilation of past videos I may have missed otherwise. You’re so creative and very talented. TFS
Really enjoyed this. I always struggle with shakers but love them. Like the idea of using the foam frame to bump it up instead of foam tape it must look better from the sides. I hv to try. 💓
I really enjoyed your video it was very helpful now these are the kind of videos I like to see when you show different types of glues that will work for the shaker cards thank you for that 😊
Wow I love these shaker cards . I just found your channel & I am blown away by your videos , of course I immediately subscribed . Binge watching session coming up today . Thank you for sharing.
Love all the shaker cards, specially the butterflies one. It's also common for me to attach the top part of the shaker card only to realize I forgot to put the acetate window... lol
Love how you do anything. I am in your class, it will take me 5 years to get all of the supplies I would like to get. lol my question is a silly one I am sure. What is an embossing bag? is it the container you keep your powder in? Best of luck always.
OMG I should have had this video 1 year ago, I made 12 beautiful shakercards with a very intracate Happy Birthday day die, OMG would have saved me AGES if I used foam sheets :-( haha, never wanted to make those again, BUT NOW I DO, you are so brilliant, thx SO much!!
Hi Justine! Great ideas! I have one question for you. On the last card, did you use an anti static pouch or tool on the acetate before you embossed or no? I didn't see one used. Thanks again - all of the cards are lovely!
Do you like making shaker cards?! I love them but I often forget a step, usually it's remembering the acetate :) Do you have any funny shaker moments?

I think the size of the butterfly card really makes it :) I'm glad you found this video enjoyable
Another method -- still add different sections of color on paper -- but add clear sequins -- would pick up the background colors.
Awesome hacks Justine! That butterfly card really was stunning. I've never used those shaker pouches but they look great 🥰
The pouches are awesome!
Really enjoyed this. I always struggle with shakers but love them. Like the idea of using the foam frame to bump it up instead of foam tape it must look better from the sides. I hv to try. 💓

Love making shaker cards! That #10 card with butterflies is so pretty🎀TFS 🍭just subscribed 💕
My shaker filler always sticks to the sides of the foam tape. What do you do to keep that from happening?
I made my for shaker card and faced the same problem 😔😔
hello to help fix this problem use baby powder BEFORE removing backing paper i.e. BEFORE EXPOSING the ADHESIVE AREA on foam tape
Does that tape work with a cricut or does it ruin the blade?
Thanks for the great ideas
So beautiful🌸💌
What’s the ruler tool you use? To place the acrylic stamp that folds and stamp in place?
This tutorial was uber helpful and very straightforward. Thanks so much for sharing :)
praying for you and your family
