We just bought the Signature trim two weekends ago and it's in Sonic Silver. Our sales lady told us it was the first Signature in Sonic Silver that she had seen.
One thing I wish is that Mazda would have lightened up the Catura brown a little bit. I think a lighter shade of brown would have worked a little bit better.
What's with the black pin stripes? Is that standard from Mazda or a dealer add-on. I think they absolutely RUIN the clean look and would be a hard-pass on any car that had that added as an option.
@@YuppinYanni At that price point, I would say that you should have bought the signature over the GTR then. Simply said, any work that will be as complicated as retrofitting a 360 system will be pretty much equivalent to the difference between Signature vs GTR, at least that is what I think in terms of the value. Don't ask me how I know how horrendous any retrofitting job can get lmao
@@JSS From the video those look like the all weather mats. I haven't seen the premium floor liners online very much. I did find a video of them: ruclips.net/video/9cBW1xmUySw/видео.html
Hi Jonathan, I have owned several Mazda’s and enjoyed each one. I appreciate these comparison videos. I do not like the console dial to operate the screen. Will Mazda be coming out with a touch screen anytime soon? Thanks!
Doubtful, they believe touch screens are more distracting than non touch screens. Likey going to see the knob being phased into most if not all of their vehicles
A few other things also like parking sensors that include rear smart brake support, and the interior is upgraded with nappa leather and black headliner to name a few things.
both have AWFUL interior choices. White gets dirty just looking at it, and dark holds heat a no bueno in hot states. The red interior looks very nice, more of a wine than red, but that only comes on the Carbon Edition, whose grey exterior is blah
Hey Jonathan, nice job!
I really like the way you professionally do the comparison!
Thank you!

Wow! That’s awesome! I bet it is really sharp.
That's good to hear!
I just bought a 2020 Signature in red and love it. Zoom zoom.
Congratulations! That’s my favorite color!

It is dark. I like how it looks in the sunshine.
@@JSS I have this model and the brown goes good with the wood and black headliner.

We add them at the dealership, and can be removed at new owner’s request.
@@JSS Thanks.
1000% profit to the dealer
I chose the 2020 CX-5 GTR over the Signature. No regrets!!
I would get the GTR as well, not missing much compared to the Signature.
It’s a great vehicle, especially with choice of interior color.
Perhaps you can help me, I cant find any conclusive information to verify that the 2021 front wheels drive is flat towable. Do you know?
What years cx5 can use the mymazda app to start the car remotely?
Is it just me or does the white paint on the signature look a little less bright than the white on the GT reserve?
On camera the angles give that appearance somewhat. Standing next to them, I couldn’t tell any difference.
@@JSS I figured it had to be something like that. 👍
Minor facelift for the 2022 CX5 coming before the release of the 2023 model
Any idea what changes are coming?
I just uploaded the changes we know and some leaked photos. The official release should come this week.
@@JSS Thanks, looking forward to watching that video. Probably my next vehicle.
Jonathan, is it possible it add an aftermarket 360 camera to a GTR and display it on the built-in monitor?
I’m not aware of one. An aftermarket 360 camera would be tough with running cables to 3 places
@@JSS Could my local Mazda dealer install a factory one into a GTR?

What about the price difference?
The price difference between these two is $2800. Some of that is port installed options.
Surprised the Signature doesn’t come with the floor liners. They’re pricey but very nice.
All weather liners are optional, I do believe this specific vehicle has them. I like them a lot.

I own a 2019 signature model but mine is a Diesel engine
I didn’t get a nav card with my 21 signature 😔
Call your dealer. I had to get mine installed.
It may have not been installed.
Mine was in the owners manual. I just had to drop it into the slot.

I actually like the knobs. It's very intuitive.
I don’t expect any changes on controls, and get so used to the knob, that I actually miss it on other make vehicles.
Looks like the only difference is 365 camera.

sooo... since I live in Northern Canada you say go for the dark interior! Great advice lol
