I balanced mine on the saw. I used car stick on wheel weights. I stuck them on my wheel and spun the wheel to make sure it didn't stop at the same place each time.No more problems. I also used sheetrock screws adding screws untill they corrected the balance then I weighed them on my reloading grain scales. Then I knew how much wheel weight was needed.
Why??? you already had the wheel on the shaft of the bandsaw, just balance it in situ, far more accurate. Drilling more material away just weakens the wheel, far better to add weight
