    The Ninja recipe book doesn't say to press the button twice. That made the difference and made it work!! Thanks for the video!!!

    Thank you! I messed it up yesterday by accidentally putting it on slow cook, so I was freaking out that the cool is taking so long. Really appreciate you walking through the whole thing and giving times!

      Oh my gosh!! Seeing that I have to hit the button twice for yogurt mode is a game changer. Thankfully I’ve only ruined one batch of yogurt. I’m trying it with coconut milk.

    Find a local farm that sells Honey. I buy it by the half Gallon for about $30 and it's local so the pollen the bees collected is local to my area. Supposed to help with allergies but idk, never had them lol. Good video sir! I will be trying this later this week

    I didn't double hit the button...and 8 hours later, the whole milk turn orangy/red. And that's was my first try and I dump it. I thought the lid or container was not clean. 2nd try, same thing. Now I know where I made the mistake.

    Thank you for this. Wondering if since you first made it have you added other flavors and can you do that while cooking? Honey is so expensive!! Poor lil bees have been disappearing. At this point in life milk is off the charts too, everything is. Was very impressed with how much yogurt that made.

    If you get honey from local farmers and regular glass jar. Less expensive!

  • @jamyedowell245
    @jamyedowell245 3 года назад +4

    1) awesome. I was wondering if it was easier than crockpot yogurt (it is)
    2) honey is expensive because there's a limited number of bee keepers and it's a lot of work to extract honey. Check out Crazy Russian Hacker's videos on his bee keeping. I love raw local honey... but I hate paying for it. Manuka honey is also ridiculously expensive but it is so good for treating sore throat and strep. I think it's from New Zealand?
    If you saved 3 table spoons of your yogurt from this batch before adding the honey and vanilla, you would never have to buy again because you would add it to your next batch. Personally, I buy plain and put honey and granola on it in my bowl.

    Forgive my ignorance. Why do we use yogurt to make yogurt?

    • @jesusmywholehaschanged
      @jesusmywholehaschanged 11 месяцев назад +2

      You could use milk with a yogurt starter culture. Most people don't have yogurt culture readily available to them, so they just use plain store bought yogurt. If you save a few tablespoons from each previous batch, you can use that to make the next batch and will never need to buy yogurt again.

    Raw wishkah honey 25 dollar a quart.

  • @kym5447

    As to the honey being insanely priced.......
    The killer bees get into bee hives and butcher all the honey bees. There are virus' that infect the whole colony and wipe the bees out too. I am not sure if the honey is any good then. Our total bee numbers have declined quite a bit. Getting the honey out of the hives is a labour intensive job. An awful lot of work goes into getting that honey in the bottle. They have preditors as well. Eg. Bears I wish is was cheaper too.

      a starter...then keep 1/4 cup of your batch (you can freeze, but bring to room temp) to use as a starter on your next batch. Similar to making sour dough bread.
