marcus' story is really sad as his lover was killed by aro behind his back. The reason for her death being that marcus was so in love with her that he stopped caring for aro's plans to gain control of the vampire world. After her death, marcus was really depressed and suicidal and to ensure marcus' loyalty to the volturi, aro uses Chelsea's power on him (she has the gift to influence the emotional ties between people, she only appears in the books). So you could say that he doesn't care for aro's plans but it's mainly bc he admires the love Edward and bella share as it remind him of what once was
that movie wasn't even capable of delivering plot twist, really killing characters, and sealing the fate of those in battle, for not their care-bears audience, cry ...... what a failure!
in the book it’s also because aro mentions that the werewolves aren’t REAL werewolves, just shapeshifters whose chosen form was wolves. if i remember right in the books aro had hunted down real werewolves to near extinction by this point so they were extremely rare if not totally wiped out

Well, it was such a major departure from the books. I remember thinking, "No, they can't change the ending this much!" Then the reveal that it was one of Alice's visions, which Aro was able to experience thanks to his ability, I was relieved enough to gasp, too.
I also noticed something here too. Due to Aro's decision, even though it would inevitably cause his death, it would cause a lot of others too. So for Alice to say that's HIS future, it's also indirectly EVERYONE ELSEs future that will die like him. Smh. It's so true when people say YOUR ACTIONS EFFECT OTHER PEOPLE. Because they truly do.

When the whole Twilight ended by this scene my mind was still stuck on aro's saying "such a prize" . I didn't exactly knew what that meant but that time it immediately strike me that the volturi would definitely come back and not let it go that easily.

She realized that if Sam was inside her shield then even the wolves that weren't were protected because of how the pack members were mentally connected. She was also able to wrap her shield into a skin tight layer around everyone she wanted to.
@@Mohack88 well they had to consider time limitations and budget constraints. For instance the audio version of the 4th book is like 16 hours long. You can't get all that detail into 2 movies that are 2 to 3 hours long. But I think they did a decent job getting in as much as they did.

well think of it. with bellas mental shield, renatas physical shield, and alices foresight, he would be practically unstoppable. throw in edwards telepathy and aro could know what everyones thinking, see every possibility, and no one would be able to touch him.
I like that Arno wants to prevent the fight after the vision but still wants to save face in the same time. Ha can't show weakness and say that he is afraid of dying in the battle. He now tries to find a good reason to tell his coven why they shouldn't fight.
The ending of the vision highlights the very nature of Aro. He’s power hungry, power trip consumed, and will do whatever he can to build up on it and preserve it. His reaction at :34 is a literally “life flashing” before his eyes. He knows that his side will ultimately prevail in numbers but it’s at the cost of the entire Volturi clan perishing with him. It’s not his confidants (Marcus and Cauis) he worries about…but himself. His own extinction is what ultimately turns him around. He knows that the Cullens and their allies will stand up and that they would rather choose death. It’s a stark contrast between him and them.
Aro & the team are affraid because Bella & Edward have Freddie Mercury on their team. Aro's team only has Brian May, that are not willing to fight and always wanted to die. 😁
I'd say Alice cos seeing the future would be a lot more useful than a physical forcefield. Bella is handy in fights for sure but seeing the future would trump that.
I remember going with an old friend and her cousin to see this movie I never read the books but she read every single one of them. It's kind of sad it was all a vision because Marcus is just stuck in that coven, depressed and ready to end immortality.
I like that Arno wants to prevent the fight after the vision but still wants to save face in the same time. Ha can't show weakness and say that he is afraid of dying in the battle. He now tries to find a good reason to tell his coven why they shouldn't fight.

The ending of the vision highlights the very nature of Aro. He’s power hungry, power trip consumed, and will do whatever he can to build up on it and preserve it. His reaction at :34 is a literally “life flashing” before his eyes. He knows that his side will ultimately prevail in numbers but it’s at the cost of the entire Volturi clan perishing with him. It’s not his confidants (Marcus and Cauis) he worries about…but himself. His own extinction is what ultimately turns him around. He knows that the Cullens and their allies will stand up and that they would rather choose death. It’s a stark contrast between him and them.
Poor old Marcus not getting to die but at least seeing his brother finally make a good decision for once 😂😂😂

I remember going with an old friend and her cousin to see this movie I never read the books but she read every single one of them. When this fight scene happen the way that theater was screaming was ridiculously funny😂 and when the vision ended the crowd even got more crazy like what the fuck did they just see😂
