Rabbit populations grow exponentially when not limited by resources, space, or predators. Exponential growth has time in the exponent, causing a rapid increase in population size. In real-world situations, logistic growth is more accurate due to environmental constraints. Logistic growth models population growth with a natural carrying capacity, creating an S-shaped curve.

When the food resources&space are unlimited, exponential growth is possible which is J shape. It is limited in a certain amount ,so it's logistic growth, which is S shape

well it grows so would not be less than the first population so it means it is 110 %
to find growth factor you need to take 1 plus the percentage it grows by. in this case the percentage was 10%. 10% equals to 0,10. because it grows by 10% you have to take 1 + 0,10 and that equals to 1,1
if the factor were to decrease every year, you would have to subtract the percentage. for example if it decreased with 10% every year. you would take 1- 0,10 which equals to 0,90.
why did we multiply it with 1.1 for an increase of 10% in population?

So let me explain .
You turn 10% into 0.10 and multiply it by 1000. So since it’s increasing your going to add your result to the first number.
Work out:
10% = 0.10
0.10* 1000= 100
100 +1000 = 1100.
Answer =1100
So in the end we have the same answer

Sorry I know this is late but I’ll respond for people wondering the same thing. When doing INCREASING by 3% it would be 1.03 when DECREASING it would be 0.97. If you think about it, multiply something by anything less then 1 will make its decrease. So it wouldn’t make sense to be increasing by 3% but have 0.97 because that would make it decrease. This you have to do 1 PLUS whatever percent. The 1 will make it increase. When decrease in so 1 - percent to make it decrease! If the percent is increasing by 500% it would be 1 + 5. If it’s increasing by 3% it would be 1 + 0.03. If it’s decreasing by 76% it would be 1 - 0.76 = 0.24. Hope this can help

How 1.1???
Hi Sphoorti, this may be late but let me explain in case someone needs it. when using percents we may say 100 percent or 1(varies from 0 to 1) to indicate the total amount. so, initially, we have 1000 which is 100 percent or 1;
after 1 month, the population grows by 10% or 0.1 which means that 10 percent of 1000 is 100. so we can say the population after one month is 110% or 1.1 of the total population.
Mathematically,
(110x1000)/100=1100 or
1.1x1000=1100.
