So, I don’t mind fake LPS to me they’re just as good. What upsets me is that people list them as authentic and then scam people by giving them the fake ones

Pienso que no hay nada de malo en obtener falsos siempre cuando tengan cierto grado de calidad y luzcan casi como un original. Recomiendo que se fijen en las reseñas antes de comprar un LPS, ya que hay falsos que son demasiado buenos para serlo, mientras que otros no, por lo que si, hay excepciones para comprar un falso, ya que algunas veces deberás optar por el original.

Okay no because I can definitely tell that the shorthair with paint splatter on it is authentic in the photo. I am 100% convinced that they switched it out for a fake when it was actually shipped to you. I've had the same thing happen to me before and it is not fun! 99% of the time, i can tell right off the bat if an LPS is fake or not. But unfortunately, people still like to scam us, even on eBay😭

I honestly don't know what's so bad about fake LPS. I don't mind having fakes they work the same and looks pretty similar
the bad thing is its not the original. plus your supporting a company/seller that sell fakes.

yeah,same. inless you want to resell them when you get doubles. you wont be able to earn much money for fakes if you sell them.
usually the bodies are like, plastic looking instead of glossy looking. also, check out the head. compare it to other shorthair cats in your collection that you know are authentic.
I usually don't care if the LPS is authentic or not, I just make sure that the head doesn't fall off 😅
PS: plz take your time when it comes to your films. try not to stress out too much

The short hair with the paint splatters on that the seller send you was a different pet because the short hair of the one in the picture had a very chipped nose and the one you got didn't ( just a little bit)

Good luck with that Amazon has been producing fakes with chinese for many years and is notorious for selling fakes! They also post fake reviews on their fake lps making you believe that the pets are real

I remember one time someone thought I was tryna copy you because my mascot is the shorthair lpsloverqa version of your mascot 😂😂 I'm not I promise. I just saw this calico short hair and it was the cutest. Hasbro didn't make any cute authentic calico shorthair and this one fit my theme perfectly so that's why I picked it! I have a double of her now and thought about customizing the one I have with the tilty head into a custom calico cat for my mascot but idk

I personally like fake lps as long as it’s not obviously fake because it’s more affordable I’m not paying double or triple the price just because it’s made by hasbro I’d rather spend 10 bucks for a cute fake lps than 30 dollars for a real one that’s basically the same

So a Lil tip if you can get rid of rust then i suggest you put the ones you think might be fake in water and see if they rust or just wait for them to rust because thats how you tell if they are real or not just a tip you dont have to just telling ya

I'd give the seller benefit of the doubt. The paint-splattered shorthair is definitely a fake (I bought it in-store years ago so I know mine is authentic; the authentic one has the "C-031" marking printed on; it is NOT molded into the plastic), but the nose on this fake has a little chipped paint. That would indicate to me that she's been played with before. Perhaps they thought it was authentic but alas... it was not. Fake shorthairs are pretty easy to come across (and easy to confuse for originals if you don't know what features define the fakes), so it's not hard to imagine someone not as in the know buying the cats and believing in their authenticity. It looks for all the world JUST LIKE the authentic one. Everything is placed right where it should be, it's ridiculous!
Heck, I bought a fake shorthair on Amazon a few years ago before I knew high-quality fakes of them were so prevalent, and I thought it was authentic for the last couple years I've had it. But now that I know what defines the fakes... it's definitely a fake. I also bought two fake Great Danes, one which I had bought to replace a favorite pet of mine I'd lost years ago (the white one with the heterochromia). Now I'm a little ticked off. XD

The ones that are "fake" are just REALLY REALLY old models. Like older than you could imagine. They just used to have stiff heads. I'm not even kidding, the only LPS I have are really old like the first few models and they have stiff heads. I did not buy these as used ones, I bought them from like Target, and yes it was from Hasbro. No fear, it's just old.

They wrapped it with bubble wrapping which is a thick room where I had to open lots of it I had to use a pencil to open it
They are fake but the ones that were shown in the picture were fake as well, it was the angle that made them look real, so it was honest with the picture
