At the beginning of season 9, one of the main characters (maybe the dragon) wakes up to reveal that the entire season 8 was nothing but a bad dream. Problem solved.
this could so easily be written into Brans character as a way of him seeing different possibilities in different universes, hes the 3 eyed raven, so fuck it.
Season: 1: winter is coming Season 2: winter is coming Season 3: winter is coming Season 4: winter is coming Season 5: winter is coming Season 6: winter is coming Season 7: winter is coming Season 8: winter lasted less than 12 hours
Season: 1: winter is coming Season 2: winter is coming Season 3: winter is coming Season 4: winter is coming Season 5: winter is coming Season 6: winter is coming Season 7: winter is here Season 8: naw just kiddin'
I said the same thing to my husband. The lack of emotions I felt for my favorite characters was a bad sign that the writing was so bad and confusing. It was like I really wasn't watching the characters I saw the previous 7 seasons.
Given the time period, with a way to hold a prisoner or create armour, I’d like to think Arya went West of Westeros but some day returned with a gift for Bran from the people of Northern Canada. Chains for his tyres for better traction. After all “Winter is coming.”
Also it's like fuck all the magic bran the builder put into making the crypt, wights passed the wall and got into winterfell coz bran did so, but he never went to the crypts
"Who had a better story than Bran" That pissed me off. Practically in bed for en entire season. Spent 3 seasons finding the three eyed raven. Wasn't even in season 5, left the cave in season 6, came back to winterfell in season 7 and became some emotionless weirdo with surprisingly little impact on the overall plot involving the night king and stuff.
jon larkulaklans -I legit started laughing at Tyrion saying “who has a better story than Bran?” Ummm, every other character present in that scene, for starters...
I couldn't f*cking agree more! Literally anyone would have been a better king (or queen) to end the series on. We could have had Arya, since she killed the Night King, or Jon Snow because he was the only Targaryan not crazy, but nooooo, it has to be the emotionless asshole who played zero part in the whole story other than in the first episode.
The last season was truly a mess it was pretty much garbage compared to the last 7 seasons shity weighting for sure not to mention it only took 2years to see that shity season
I was watching the last episode while signing prints and waiting for them to try. Let me tell you, having papers spread all over specifically for the purpose of waiting for them to dry and then seeing her just shove that wet ink on top of each other was quite possibly one of the most frustrating moments of the entire show.
s1 winter is coming s2 winter is coming s3 winter is coming s4 winter is coming s5 winter? s6 oh yes winter is coming s7 winter is finally here s8 yes it's here wtf did you expect? anyways summer is coming
AND before that "Jon Snow you know nothing". OH my God Jon Snow was the worst character, clueless, fought battles that were useless, and could not see beyond his crotch.
@@annawisdomsdottir4947 Actually John was loyal and always chose to do what was right instead of his desires. That's why he betrayed Ygritte and the wildlings for the crows, the wall, and his honor bound oath. Then later when the Red Woman tries to seduce him to leave and fight alongside Stannis Baratheon, he refuses her. That is what was wierd, he never let anything come between his duty and honor...until he met Daenerys and the writers thought that it would make sense for him to totally become a weak flake out of nowhere.
Joaquin Phoenix Joker: "I used to think Game Of Thrones was a tragedy. After Season 8, I realize it's a COMEDY". Heath Ledger Joker: "No, Season 8 is a BAD joke".
Speaking of the joker, with more seasons and better writing,we could have seen a Joaquin Phoenix kind of descend of madness in Daenerys.....but instead we got s08e05 (sighs)...

The sisters sussed it but Jon was blind and was bewildered by a pretty face...but then he had the balls at least to kill her... And then he could have been the hero...but instead gets sent to be a monk..which was great..because he was a pussy...my queen .my queen...and poor Varys knew and Tyrion also fell for her pretty face and didn't heed the warnings Varys saw. He threw his badge.. which was like a suicide...saving his honour really.... And the war episode at night was great...it wasn't Jon and night king slaying it out like best v best ..Night King didn't need to fight... And Arya killed him... Which we all loved...Sanda became queen after all the shit shed been through ... And... It ended how it ended ..with life going on in different ways for different people... It was the best season for me...I cannot understand all the whining and bad press...and speaking about friggin Starbucks cups left out...when honestly it was the best drama I've seen ... One thing I didn’t like was how the Dothraki & Unsullied had so many numbers even though they got killed at battle of Winter fell & the ambush by the Black fleet.
@@lukenukem215 Because D&D honestly claimed that there wasn't enough material for more episodes. Meaning it was rushed because of their writing decision.
I read somewhere the actor who played Stannis hated the show and said he doesn't understand the appeal of why it became so popular. So he might actually be on their side lol.
The best review of the Game Of Thrones final season was actually provided by another episode of Game Of Thrones. Say it with me if you know the words... Shame. Shame. Shame.
There was the legendary 2 seconds when Jon's younger sister (or cousin, actually) stabbed the Night King. I just had an idea. How cool would it have been if there was a huge sword fight with Jon and Arya vs The Night King?
My reaction to Season 8. Episode 1: Oooh this is good! Things are really kicking off!!! Episode 2: Ok, time to brace myself.......This is the calm before the storm...... Episode 3: Um..........Ok........ That was kind of anticlimactic........... Episode 4: SON OF A B🤬🤬🤬🤬!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Episode 5: Oh no................ Episode 6: I feel nothing.
Episode 3 was so hyped up. Better fight scenes than helms deep and shit, 8 seasons of slow build up for the white walkers. Ended up being shit and couldn't see a thing for most of the episode.
Bran has the leadership & charisma of a toilet plunger. He is the least qualified person to rule Westeros. Millard Filmore would have been a better choice.
He can bypass all of that with his knowledge obviously since he is not Bran. The creature that has possessed his body is wise. I mean, it's kinda obvious those were not the reasons why he got elected.
writerpatrick You think that films are going to be better? For the first two seasons or so, this show adapted the books near perfectly. Television allows for every ounce of plot and detail in book adaptations to be shown and explored, not cut out or rushed. The books never finished which is why we received the ending we did however I highly doubt this will ever be remade in film format. People already hold this show in high regard, flaws and all. This cast defined the characters of a Song of Ice and Fire and to many, it’d take a hell of a lot to top what this show has managed to accomplish. Films cannot adapt the scale and depth of this books without doing exactly what people bitched about this season for; *rushing the narrative.* Even if each film were 3 hours, it couldn’t be done. If we were to receive something on the level of Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings, it still wouldn’t be good enough because, simply, one of these books is almost big enough for the entirety of the LOTR books combined into one volume. Heck the final two books are going to be 1500+ each, Dance of Dragons had to be split into two books because it was too long. It would take splitting a 7 film saga into 14 - 16 films in order to do the source material justice. Either GoT will do a Brotherhood and eventually come back years later in the distant future to create a final three to four seasons to adapt the last two books or there will be a streaming service adaptation of the finished books, sticking closer word for word to the source material (which will help make it appear different and somewhat fresh) and making the characters look as they were in the books (no sugar-coating any of it.)
Here's a rewrite from a site called 'Think Story' that attempts to salvage season 8. I enjoyed it more than what we got. ruclips.net/video/G0mncEl4nVU/видео.html
Breaking bad : u wanna hear a joke Game of thrones : **what** Breaking bad : **good ending** Game of thrones : I don't get it..... Breaking bad : **ur goddamn right**
So D&D shat on the last season of GOT and rushed it so they could go make Star Wars movies? I understand the hate these two hacks get now, I hope Disney notes this
Why season 8 sucks... 1. Jon Snow's story line. What's the point of all the back from dead and lineage. 2. Dany going mad was rushed poorly in a way that we are unable to buy. 3. All that plotholes. 4. Arya giving up on Cersei. 5. Jaimie's character development. 6. Night King's plotline and reduction to a plot device.
Don't think there can ever be more amateurish writing than by Benioff & Weiss! The big bad Night King: Destroys part of the wall, marches with his army to Winterfell after 7-1/2 seasons and kills.....Theon?? Bran: "I could never be the lord of anything.......But Ok, I'll be King!!" Jon's Season 8 dialogue: "She's ouw queen! I don't wun it! She's muh queen, I don't wun it! She's Yo queen! I don't wun it!" Dialogue edited out cause the episode had to be rushed, - Jon to Drogon: "She was dead when I got here........I swear!!" Grey worm: "Jon is our prisoner, he murdered our queen! Oh... you're sending him to the wall? OK that's fine with me, I'll just sail away now!" (Hopefully, the remaining Dothraki, boarded ship with them, but who knows!) Sansa: "Your my beloved brother, but I don't want to bend the knee to you, and want my independence and I want to rule the north!" Bran: "OK, fine with me!" The rest of the lords of the now 6 Kingdoms: "Sansa and the north get their independence, but we don't get ours? OK, fine with us!.....ALL HAIL KING BRAN THE BROKEN!" Oyeeeeeeee, Benioff & Weiss!!!!
i do completely agree w this, however the entire 7th season was structured to unite the everyone to fight the common enemy and the second half of the 8th season was returning to the main point of the entire show. to call it poor writing would be a horrendous understatement to say the least.
@@One.Zero.One101 just wish that he died differently than his followers, yes they can be killed by dragon glass but have the night King more unique have it him be killed by dragon glass with fire or dragon glass with something else like make him a tough boss like nobody's business
That brings the question: WHAT THE HELL WAS REALLY GOING ON BEHIND THE SCENES OF SEASON 8? Keep in mind, I'm not talking about the cast and crew, they did their absolute best, I am asking this question directed at the people in charge. Was there anything that D&D were doing that we don't know about? That's what I want to know.
Finding out that Disney want to pay you millions more writing for star wars shite. Now imagine hearing this news halfway writing GOT season 8. Do whatever to get it done and leave for Disney ASAP.
I mean yeah. The writers of the show really didn't stray away from the books, which is good until there's no books to copy or get inspiration from. D&D had relied on the books for so long that they really didn't have their own originality. And they rushed the final season because they wanted to start doing Star Wars.
Every other show I've watched that is based off of a book follows at least the first two books in the series and then the show starts straying away from the books and the writers come up with their own storylines with some inspiration from the books. So what happened with Game of Thrones?
@@bigw2743 They did stray away from the books, many characters were cutted off the show, if they did it properly they would have material for 8 seasons only from the books. They started cutting characters in season 5 to rush the series.
Agree about all except the Feminism part. Even Martin would back it up when it comes to historical reasons that most kingdoms did in fact worked on a male heir preference, and a women would be chosen as queen if she is either the more legitimate heir, the only one or if the laws of the crown state that gender has no preference in said kingdom. Not saying that women make bad rulers, just stating the obvious that what Varys meant was: "Jon is BY LAW the preferred candidate".
I see what you're saying, but law was thrown out the window when an imprisoned traitor has the power to decide that they will choose their kings from now on, and the "ruling" army just allows this to happen without any objection.
@@arctikstorm no it makes sense to prefer a male ruler. Throughout the show its shown countless times that the men fight and the women stay at home just look at the outrage when Jon said lets train the women to fight the dead. Not saying there can't be a female queen but Varys was correct in stating the people of Westeros would prefer to follow a man
@@liverpooljft9623 did we watched the same show??? Sansa saved Jon(BB), Danny saved Jon(twice), leanna M killed a giant, Brienne fought so many battles, and Arya killed the NK. Even in fantasy, how was a man who mostly just made sad face better than a queen with dragon or a girl who saved the world ???
Feminism? Sansa is Queen in the North and Yara is leader of the Ironborn. Don't listen to the scumbag liberals, there were plenty of strong female rulers at the end.
Something I don’t get is how Arya managed to get passed all those white walkers and to the night king who was in the middle of the group and she was running like how didn’t she get seen
@@lawmabsb4800 For... how long exactly? I mean, I don't care if she was the greatest prodigy ever recorded in their fictional universe. I agree, agree with video just rushed snd lazy writing and didnt make sense, not necessarily disagreeing with the character ends just how they got there and the CGI was amazing just a shame it was rushed but not first time thst happened
Doesn't stay true to character development in the same episode. Grey worm executing kneeling surrendering foes but lets Jon live after he knives Dany in the heart.
It was Danaerys order to execute lannister soldier. Theyre obedient of what Dany told them. Unsullied have not much of character development becoz they dont have balls. Neither they hate nor love.
Alucard Brian The character development of Greyworm went against that. Him falling in love with Missandei for example. The whole idea of his character is that he learns to love and feel.
I was heartbroken, building Dany up into a layered and genuinely amazing character, for absolutely nothing... I signed the petition to remake season 8 with competent writers
Cherry Muse might have done it wrong. Seriously my Tv is super old. I played with the brightness a little and it worked. Not sure what it was then. My video games became super brighter after that too lol
The worst was what they did to Tyrion Lannister. How do you go *two whole seasons* without having the supposedly smartest character on the show make one good decision?
Smart characters turning into idiots has been happening going back to Littlefinger and Ramsay Bolton's sudden terrible decision-making that can only be explained by sudden catastrophic brain damage. Littlefinger sells Sansa, the only person he (sort of) cares about to be married to a guy on whom he does NO RESEARCH??? Show me that he knew and didn't care because it suited his purposes. But don't expect me to believe that the guy whose whole deal is knowing secrets didn't pull aside a single peasant and ask what kind of guy Ramsay Bolton is. And as for Ramsay deciding to brutalize Sansa instead of turn on the charm, which we know he can do when it's to his benefit -- that is just stupid. Show me him playing into Sansa's desperate need for a charming attentive lover. How much more interesting would it be for Sansa to end up in a Blackbeard type of situation, where she's married to a psychopath but doesn't know it? What is she fell for Ramsay? What if he managed to keep his sadistic activities on the down low for a while and she only realized his true nature after a while? What if her eventual abandonment of him is what symbolizes the death of her girlhood dreams of love and chivalry instead of just being raped every night (ick)? And what if he develops some kind of affection for her in return? Then his reaction to her leaving him is fuelled by not just rage but also by genuine hurt? Soooo many more interesting options than the bullshit we got where Ramsay is just bad because he's bad because he's bad. And don't even get me started on how nonsensical and inconsistent with his character it was for Ramsay to murder his father...
I cheered when Arya killed the Knight King because I have such a crush on her, but once I realized all the set up was for nothing I literally drank so much that I forgot every other scene and had to rewatch(because it was a black)
I just sat there saying "this is so fking dumb" "As if that would happen" "No friggen way would all these lords just randomly agree to make some kid they just met and know nothing about King" "This is SEW dumb" "She's muh qweeennnn"
Yeah, best thing about Got was unpredictable plot twists & amazing character development. In season 8 there was none of that. Only unpredictable thing was Bran becoming king, the rest was very predictable. Still a good show with solid ending (I don't hate ending, it's not so bad) but it Lacka good writing and more episodes
nah, GGM is just pissed he isn't gonna get his seasonal big payday. They really ruined his art and he's okay with it as long as the check keeps coming that's why he doesn't mind if they fill it to S13. I bet all the money I have that a lot of stuff we saw in S6 till S8 gonna different in the books. Most likely, Jon snow the one who kills the night king and Arya kills Cersie. and then Jon sit in the Iron Throne. THE END.
@Scott Summers Dude, they build up Jon Snow from S1 to S7 to an epic show down against the night king, but they gave it to Arya out of nowhere. I don't know if writers gave her the kill cuz she's a fan favorite or it just feminist agenda woman empowerment ...etc, that's the trend in Hollywood nowadays. Also, Jon being a Targeryan was pointless as fuck. Arya too, they build up her whole arcs to kill Cersie. Barn few episodes ago doesn't want to rule cuz he's the three eyed raven then in the finale says "that's what I came for". dude too many plot holes this season. They rush it so they don't miss the Star Wars job.
@@chktkart8540 You're really stupid if you think George only cares about money. He's 70 years old and already rich. Yes maybe his children can enjoy the money, but this is his legacy. Show some respect to the man.
@@chktkart8540 Definitely not. GRRM has stated he doesn't want Jon or Dany to be typical heroes. Also, GRRM told the showrunners how he wanted it to end, and as far as we can tell, all the major story beats in season 8 will happen in the books. The difference is GRRM will execute it far better. First off, the White Walkers haven't been built up as much in the books, so them being stopped somewhat anticlimactically isn't as much of an issue. Though I'm certain the White Walker threat will be expanded and will take longer to stop them in the books. Also, it's important to remember the Night King literally doesn't exist in the books. So there's been no build up on that front in the books. Lastly, Young Griff's removal from the story pretty much fucked over all the major characters' arcs and motivations. They had to shoehorn Jon into Aegon's role, make Cersei Dany's opponent, contrive needless conflict, and come up for a halfassed reason Dany burns King's Landing down. I saw a fantastic reddit post that details fAegon's importance in the story: www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/bo6n3r/spoilers_main_i_apologise_to_grrm_for_doubting/
Great summary. I also thought Sansa insisting on independence from the Seven Kingdoms when they were ruled by a STARK, her brother no less, was astonishingly stupid. I didn’t see any other media cover that point. Also, having the North separate would erode Bran’s support, basically making it a certainty the other Kingdoms would rebel and plunging Westeros into war yet again.
@@thorbeorn4295i friggen hated that. This show was set in a time when women had 0 power. It should have respected that and not have pandered to the woke crowd. Even Cersei becoming queen in her own right made no sense. She was married into the family and had no claim. The throne rightfully belonged to Jon, but he didn't wannit. A few words from tyrion could surely have changed his mind. He would have been the best choice.
@@Nikoolayy1 I really should have written something likethat. Star Wars may be dying in the movies, but there is still hope in the comics and tv-shows.
Props to the actors, the ones in charge of costumes, CGI and directors. They did the best they could with this writing. To me it seemed like D&D wanted out asap
they did, from what i've heard they're going to write star wars. HBO actually pushed for 10 full length seasons, GRRM pushed for 12, but these guys just wanted to bail and go mess with star wars

Vincent Knight You cucked betas will enjoy anything with bad writing as long as a broad with purple hair is barking orders at a man 🤣🤣 Keep’em coming Vince 🤘
For the heir to the throne issue reversing eother Jon's gender or Daenerys's gender changes nothing. Jon is the rightful heir not because "he's a man" but because he is the son of Rhaegar, who was the firstborn son of the Mad King. So even though Rhaegar is dead Jon is still the heir because of how the line if succession works. Think about it this way: In season 1 Joffrey beame King and remained King because people initially did believe he was Robert's son, hence he is the heir to the throne as Ned wrote in Robert's will. So even though we know he is not Robert's son, Stannis didn't take the Throne even though he was Robert's younger brother (and technically he was the real heir because Joffrey wasn't Robert's). The point is the crown passes down to sons and grandsons before it passes across to siblings. This is the same case with Jon and Daenerys. The crown passes down from Mad King to Rhaegar and down to Jon (not to mention Jon came before Daenerys). It doesn't go from Rhaegar across to Daenerys.
That's true and it's also very easy for everyone to understand since it even applies today. Like William will be king after Charles and then his son, not Harry, his brother. I don't know why they couldn't just say that this is the way succession works, regardless of gender.
I don't know if show fans would like this but aerys disinherited rhaegar's entire line from the throne and made Viserys his heir. Viserys' heir is Daenerys.
idiot raegar was never king it goes to king's children and jon is a bastard .reagar fooled the lyanna and writers fooled the audience .he was married to elia martell with 2 children thats why marriage with lyanna was secret meaning its fake even if he was a heir what does it make ? jon is gonna marry dany
Season 6 was trash overall, though. Only Ramsey's ending was good. Dani spent it doing nothing. Jon spent it doing nothing. Arya did gud shit, but only once. Still better than 5,8 and 8, ofc, but a bad season nontheless.
@@925263 But didn't Dany add Dothraki to her army, ended rebellion of the slave masters in Mereen, and gained their fleet to sail for Westeros... I liked Jon's arc in s6, he executed ppl that betrayed him, he was free from the oath of the Nights Watch, and he was tired from fighting, only to be thrown in a war by Sansa... plus he had internal conflicts about basicly forcing the Wildlings to fight for him... also he beated Ramsey, and became King in the North. Arya besides killing of the Freys was an utter shit I loved KL plot, and Hodor ep. I only hated Dorne, but ther wasn't much of it, the 6 and 8 ep( The Arya surviving everything part) Overall good season with flaws, that are overshadowed by 2 greatest episodes of GOT (9 and 10)
Better ending: lost at Winterfell and survivor retreat south and more kingdoms fell. Deny's remaining force and refugees surrounded King's Landing as freezing weather closing in. Cersei refused to open the gates so Jamie and a few decided to sneak in and kill Cersei because saving the city and refugees more important. Westeros made their last stand at King's Landing. As the battle is going south and fighting done house to house and all women and children pick up weapons, Dorne and the Reach send whatever militia they can assemble while Daario Naharis shows up with a small fleet to the harbor and provide heavy artillery support. We learn Bran can read the Night's King as he is near so he sent the raven to seek help from everyone. EDIT: they use the gunpowder under King's Landing for scorched earth as they retreat to prevent the dead from being raised
A sad end? Jon is truly happy beyond the wall and didn't want to be king. This is the perfect ending for him, especially cause he finally knows who his mother is
@@BearWith_You I'm pretty sure he would rather have his most recent girlfriend alive and riding dragons with him. He went back to what friends he had left after a future family for him died.
I wasted all my Sundays for a unsatisfactory ending to a great Series. Sadly I erased the entire 8th season because it's not worth watching again. The 7th I will prefer to call it the last and a cliffhanger.
Once Bran (the builder or whatever) said, "Why do you think I came all this way?" I would have said, "Okay, that disqualifies you from being king...next."
Ya I'm so tired of that bs social justice narrative being found absolutely everywhere whether it exists or not. I think people are just out looking for it
Mojo has been infected with SJW disease for quite awhile now. It creeps out every now and then in surprising and usually amusing ways, just as it did in this episode. Literally nobody cares about how much respect was given to vagina's in the series, and to ignore the multitude of strong, important women in the show is ludicrous. Otherwise the observations were pretty accurate. Pity they had to drag it down like that.
Rushed plot holes and cramming in everything for six episodes. Instead of supporting these seemingly out of character arcs and the decisions. For example Dany turning mad queen even though she technically already won the war and they surrendered
After watching, I am assuming like "Season 7 was the final, undead dragon melted the wall, killed everyone , death won and there was only snow on iron throne.. -THE END- Season 8 was collection of deleted scenes and scenario testing scenes. :P
You also forgot to mention that by season 7, characters somehow unlocked fast travel. Especially in season 8, bronn gets from Kings landing to winterfell in a day, and Jaime gets from winterfell to kings landing in almost the same time. ALSO- how did Danny and the team make it to Kings landing after their ships were destroyed and they were stranded somewhere? ALSO, did they just dry themselves off and carry on walking there like all is good? This show makes no sense anymore, I'll wait the 500 years for the books
SkaterBlades I know, it worked for stuff in like S4/5 but this season they put 2 characters in just to misdirect, Brandon/Dante, not only change them to a point they only share the name, plus giving Carol credit for Alphas kill (just to please the reaction channels) derails Negans redemption arc, he did it on his own accord to prove to Rick he was no treat, also didn’t know what would have come out of it, here, Carol made him do it. Also issue 150 Rick bites another throat out but show, Negan just throws a bitch at a wall, at least give it to Daryl cause he saw it in 416
Season 8 was bad, it made no sense. The two worst; 1, Arya killing the Night King and then the whole army of the dead so easily, and then ignoring all the history, foreshadowings and prophecies. Aryas story had nothing to do with the Others, the showrunners thought it was just cool and surprising that she did it. 2. Dany killing thousands of civilians after the battle was won. It was civilians in the city her family built and the city she planned to live in and rule. All her ruthlessness had earlier been directed towards masters, murderers and opposing soldiers.
Daenerys is not "mad" she's not insane she has known and knows full well what she's doing...this is the same Daenerys that had her dragon locked up because they killed one child...so she's just gonna burn thousands more for no reason? I'm sorry but I don't buy it, quit trying to defend this abysmal writing
@@huntermatthews6198 Daenerys did go mad. As Tyrion mentioned himself, she has shown mad tendencies for a long time, but it was always directed at "bad men." Her story is just like her father's story. Aerys' madness was always there, but it was triggered when he started envying Tywin and felt paranoid because everybody thought of Tywin as the best of the two. Same with Daenerys. She spoke about destiny, burning people alive, just like her father. Then, during episode 4 at Winterfell, we see her feeling jealousy towards Jon, and paranoid that she will be overthrown. She feels alone and abandoned, and that is similar to how Aerys' madness began. This was always the way her story was supposed to go, and I saw that all the way back to the 1ts season...
"Dany killing thousands of civilians after the battle was won. It was civilians in the city her family built " Ehh. You are aware that her father is Aerys II Targaryen also known as the mad king?! The same king that wanted to burn the city to the ground. Since the creators of the series consulted with R.R Martin about the plot, i would recon Daenerys fate was the same as her fathers.
@@Sannhetensprofet Her father had been mad for years, and even he would not burn the city before it was lost to the invading forces . Dany had never been mad, only ruthless, and had won the battle. It makes zero sense.
Plot Twist; All of Season 8 was just a bad dream that Dany had and she now has to find a way to stop it. There, problem solved! Rhaegal doesn’t die a stupid death. (Still ticked off by that!) Night King dies but in a badass way. (No butter knife should be able to kill this guy) Dany doesn’t die (maybe) Since she’ll see Jon again tho, sho doesn’t tell him that he killed her, as she knows he did it to stop her, which she see’s as the necessary evil. The Dothraki don’t go into a suicide charge until Dany and Jon are in position to provide air support and they can actually SEE their enemy. Dany doesn’t become mad in a season, she slowly goes mad during Season 8 till Season 9 it finally comes to the surface. THEN Kings Landing can be destroyed (it didn’t make sense at the time, but it WAS a visually stunning Scene) also, that means that Rhaegal gets to join in on the barbecue as well, since he’s still alive. @@PWNINSWAGMASTER Yeah, true. And even still, if it didn't happen it still wouldn't be sexist, it would just be the story. How many negatively portrayed women are there in the show? Cercei, Shae, Lysa and towards the end Dany. Okay that's like four. How many men in the show are honorless cunts, rapists and murderers? Hundreds? Stories don't have to be related to modern political context, not sure why so many people just by default expect them too.
Sansa is turned into a nasty bitch in Season 8 by the writers. Same with Dany. And they pit the two of them against each other in a stereotypical jealous alpha female rivalry. That's sexist
Omar Sarwar -No, that’s realistic. No way in hell would those two ever be able to get along, given the circumstances. No need to turn a reasonably honest conflict into a “stereotypical jealous alpha-female rivalry,” you sound ridiculous...
The best video about the finale, with the best reasons why this season sucked. But I thought it was about why it was rushed in a production perspective, that I am curious to know.
Apparently HBO was literally begging D&D for more episodes, it was D&D decision to rush things out, and now with their stars wars trilogy, I think we have our explanation. They rushed so they can take other projects.
Bran is a evil mastermind He knew everything before the viewers did When he found out Jon is the son of Rhaegar and his aunt Lyanna he convinced Sam to tell him knowing he will tell Dany to make her paranoid and Jon will tell his family(Well Jon told bran to tell Arya and Sansa) Bran knowing Sansa wouldn't keep the secret she told Tyrion who told Varys which resulted in his death Bran knew Dany would burn kings landing and that Jon would kill her And when There was no king or queen he knew Tyrion would convince the others to vote him king #MadBran
I disagree. There is absolutely no proof that Bran can see the future or what it holds. He has random visions he doesn’t understand and basically does nothing and let’s it all unfold. He didn’t know Tyrion was going to ask him to be king. Where does it show that he knew? All he knew was that he had to be there for some reason. So glad Danys dead. I called that shit in season 3.
@@moviemattluman1675 Bran is the 3 eye raven and it's literally told tp us he can events past and future if knows what to look for He's literally the most powerful man in the land D&D made people frustrated because Bran didn't do shit and just made people around him uncomfortable
I can't think of a cool name You’re using “literally” wrong and far too often. Where in the show does it “literally” tell us Bran can see the past and the future other than when he’s being guided by the three eyed raven?
Another Reason. Neither Dany or Jon have mentiont that they are related, that she is his aunt. It's like it dosn't matter for them and they tried to continue their relationship.
@Michael O Callaghan nothing ruin. Only the crybabies think it is ruined. It isn't ruined for the new generation of fans. It wasn't ruined for me either because I still like the star wars franchise even with some of its major or small flaws and also the story hasn't ended yet in the sequel trilogy
@Michael O Callaghan I am not one of those fans that accepts quantity over quality. You just made that assumption randomly. Also try to talk without sounding condescending and also even if your opinion is the "majority" that doesn't mean that the majority aren't crybabies. It has and always have been a thing in the star wars fandom where mostly every movie comes out a bunch of crybabies come in. It happened in the original trilogy, it happened with the prequels and it is happening with the sequels. I can understand the dislike of the Last Jedi but not the dislike of hating everything about it cuz some parts were bad but some parts are good but like always good shit is in shadow of the bad but I don't complain that a franchise is ruined or whatever because I still like it if it is bad or not. I have mixed feelings of The Last Jedi but I still like the franchise as a whole.
I was going to thumbs up this video because of how upset I am with the way GoT ended but as soon as she went on her sexist and racist binge, I decided to go the other way with the thumb.
So true, but every RUclips channel has to milk all the anger of the fans for views. Yeah the last season was rushed, but it was still entertaining. Everyone is still going to watch the successor series, loving or hating them.
At the beginning of season 9, one of the main characters (maybe the dragon) wakes up to reveal that the entire season 8 was nothing but a bad dream.

Once the books are written you can expect a big screen adaptation of them with big name stars in the roles. It's become too big for TV.
Oh you'll be waiting a LOT longer than 10 years, GRRM will die before the release of the final book...
writerpatrick You think that films are going to be better? For the first two seasons or so, this show adapted the books near perfectly. Television allows for every ounce of plot and detail in book adaptations to be shown and explored, not cut out or rushed. The books never finished which is why we received the ending we did however I highly doubt this will ever be remade in film format.
People already hold this show in high regard, flaws and all. This cast defined the characters of a Song of Ice and Fire and to many, it’d take a hell of a lot to top what this show has managed to accomplish. Films cannot adapt the scale and depth of this books without doing exactly what people bitched about this season for; *rushing the narrative.*
Even if each film were 3 hours, it couldn’t be done.

Finding out that Disney want to pay you millions more writing for star wars shite. Now imagine hearing this news halfway writing GOT season 8. Do whatever to get it done and leave for Disney ASAP.
Tag me in your show that is better that this...then you can "damn them"
I have a single straight and simple answer to the video's title: because george r r martin didnt write the script
You do realize that GRRM never wrote the scripts, right?
codafett Didn’t he write an episode every season till like season 3?

D & D ( Dumb and Dumber ) must be punished.
It was lazy, nonsensical writing. It S T U N K. The smart characters were turned into complete idiots. It Stunk Out Loud.
The worst was what they did to Tyrion Lannister. How do you go *two whole seasons* without having the supposedly smartest character on the show make one good decision?
mmsmith1777 Here,here.
When I finished watching the last episode I started to cry because I was that disappointed in that whole season!!

S08 is a mess . Coild have gone till S13 as GG MARTIN ONCE SAID

I saw a fantastic reddit post that details fAegon's importance in the story:

Great summary. I also thought Sansa insisting on independence from the Seven Kingdoms when they were ruled by a STARK, her brother no less, was astonishingly stupid. I didn’t see any other media cover that point.
Also, having the North separate would erode Bran’s support, basically making it a certainty the other Kingdoms would rebel and plunging Westeros into war yet again.
It was solely to fill in the women in power narrative. So dumb...
@@thorbeorn4295i friggen hated that. This show was set in a time when women had 0 power. It should have respected that and not have pandered to the woke crowd. Even Cersei becoming queen in her own right made no sense. She was married into the family and had no claim.

Dragon destroys D Iron Throne coz he already knows King Bran has his own seat... 😏
Think about it this way:
In season 1 Joffrey beame King and remained King because people initially did believe he was Robert's son, hence he is the heir to the throne as Ned wrote in Robert's will.
They're criticizing the dialogue, not the succession. Hence, she says "one of the things that made Jon a better fit".

Also issue 150 Rick bites another throat out but show, Negan just throws a bitch at a wall, at least give it to Daryl cause he saw it in 416
Season 8 was bad, it made no sense.
The two worst;
1, Arya killing the Night King and then the whole army of the dead so easily, and then ignoring all the history, foreshadowings and prophecies.
Well, Daenerys went mad, and madness doesn't really make sense that much
Daenerys is not "mad" she's not insane she has known and knows full well what she's doing...this is the same Daenerys that had her dragon locked up because they killed one child...so she's just gonna burn thousands more for no reason?
Warron you keep telling yourself that lmfao 😂
Plot Twist;
All of Season 8 was just a bad dream that Dany had and she now has to find a way to stop it. There, problem solved!
Rhaegal doesn’t die a stupid death. (Still ticked off by that!)
Night King dies but in a
badass way. (No butter knife should be able to kill this guy)
Dany doesn’t die (maybe)
Since she’ll see Jon again tho, sho doesn’t tell him that he killed her, as she knows he did it to stop her, which she see’s as the necessary evil.

The best video about the finale, with the best reasons why this season sucked.
But I thought it was about why it was rushed in a production perspective, that I am curious to know.
I agree only with the question "Why was it rushed?" What happened, really, behind the scenes?!?
Apparently HBO was literally begging D&D for more episodes, it was D&D decision to rush things out, and now with their stars wars trilogy, I think we have our explanation. They rushed so they can take other projects.
Bran is a evil mastermind
He knew everything before the viewers did
When he found out Jon is the son of Rhaegar and his aunt Lyanna he convinced Sam to tell him knowing he will tell Dany to make her paranoid and Jon will tell his family(Well Jon told bran to tell Arya and Sansa) Bran knowing Sansa wouldn't keep the secret she told Tyrion who told Varys which resulted in his death
Bran knew Dany would burn kings landing and that Jon would kill her
And when There was no king or queen he knew Tyrion would convince the others to vote him king
#MadBran
Yup. he also probably created the night king via time shenangans.
and he absolutely forced Arya to kill the nightking for "the prestige"
@@moviemattluman1675 Bran is the 3 eye raven and it's literally told tp us he can events past and future if knows what to look for
He's literally the most powerful man in the land
D&D made people frustrated because Bran didn't do shit and just made people around him uncomfortable
He knew tryion would ask just by his response of "why do you think i came all thus way"
I can't think of a cool name You’re using “literally” wrong and far too often. Where in the show does it “literally” tell us Bran can see the past and the future other than when he’s being guided by the three eyed raven?
"What was to stop all the other lords from seeking independence for their own kingdoms too" --> D&D
Another Reason. Neither Dany or Jon have mentiont that they are related, that she is his aunt. It's like it dosn't matter for them and they tried to continue their relationship.
Well I mean it’s common in with the Targaryens to have incest relations
It was rushed so that D&D could ruin another franchise
Jackson Crook Star Wars.
@Michael O Callaghan What are you the master of Grammar now to?
@Michael O Callaghan thank God. You actually have a brain to come up with reason and not just blind idiot. My apologies for the insult to you
Worst episode imaginable! I wish I’d never watched season 8.
Whole of season 8 looks like the deleted scenes and bloopers shown after the show.
You can't be serious about the sexist and racist part.
I was going to thumbs up this video because of how upset I am with the way GoT ended but as soon as she went on her sexist and racist binge, I decided to go the other way with the thumb.
Ya, I stopped the video at that point.
But it was sexist and racist
@@Dreamfyre_ You're racist and sexist. Cause I said so that means it's true by the way.
@@Dreamfyre_ "is that a Personal attack, or something?"
At no point does this video even mention why this season was rushed. They just point out the flaws of the season and complain about it.
So true, but every RUclips channel has to milk all the anger of the fans for views. Yeah the last season was rushed, but it was still entertaining. Everyone is still going to watch the successor series, loving or hating them.
Well when you click on the video the title is different from rushed to sucked.
Can you not read?
@@MrJacobrezac Guess it was a rushed title.
Thank you
