How fascinating! Thank you. I would love to read his writings on Psalms. As always, so thankful to you.
Very glad you enjoyed the video
@@HenryAbramsonPhDare these the same Jews that cooperate with Muslims who are part of the slave trade
Hi, teacher. First, thanks for the lesson. If you interested in cryptojews and "marranos", Brasil and hispanique America is a fertile field for you.
I find the Cryptos so interesting. Living a double life like that and always on the edge, wow. Thank you for sharing.
Yes, me too!
I like that you uncover these parts of history.
Thank you! I find it fascinating.
Portugal and the Douro Valley are synonymous with Port, a fortified wine that Brits of a certain age and social class are known to imbibe in moderation (really?) I have a morning snifter of Cockburn's Port in hand for medicinal purposes only, you understand. Just about all of the great Port producers married into the English merchant classes (perhaps vice-versa) with the result that Port is more English than Portuguese. Cheers! L'Chaim!
Dear Professor Abramson, for what is worth, I am a little bit skeptical about the etymology of “malsinar”. “Mal” in Portuguese means “bad”. And “sinal” means “signal”. There are other words in Portuguese with “mal” as a prefix, such as “malandro” (bad man). Thank you very much for one more great video! Best wishes, Leonidas
Hm… how could they possibly avoid the dreaded paella test (or arroz de marisco in Portugal)?
I don't know what that is
@@HenryAbramsonPhD It's a popular dish in Spain and Portugal, very touristy, made in huge pans, the main constituents being rice and seafood, but also chicken or chorizo sausage, peppers, saffron, etc. They would have cooked it back then too. All ingredients, even rice, were well known and available-rice, imported from Egypt, was known since antiquity.
Shalom Aleichem.
Aleichem Shalom.
Toda raba, very interesting lecture. Is this book available somewhere? Shalom from Jerusalem.
Online, in Spanish.
You are awesome. Thank you for elucidating your research and thoughts. The detail is incredible, the delivery enchanting. ❤
Thanks for the very kind words! I’m glad there are people who really appreciate this history. It’s fascinating, isn’t it?
THANK YOU, THANK YOU SINCERELY!!! I THINK THERE ARE AN AMAZING HISTORY WAITING TO BE WRITTEN ABOUT THESE HEROIC GENERATION OF SPANISH AND PORTUGUESE CRIPTO JEWS.
BE BLESSED THOSE THAT RECALL THEIR MEMORIES, SORROWS AND HERITAGE.
GOD BLESS ISRAEL FOREVER!!!
Glad you found the video useful!
Thank you, Professor, for all you do to educate and inform us. You must be exhausted from last week's barrage of nonsense hurled at you.
That’s very kind (and insightful) of you.
Yet another riveting video in cyberspace. Thank you, Dr A.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you!!
Hi Henry, Can I request your help with Translation of 5:16 from Book of Psalm please. Lots of Conspiracy theories circulating around on Social. My knowledge is limited in this area.
And probably Isaiah 15:26 if possible too.
Thanks in Advance and Regards,
Dr. Haider
Look it up
@@HenryAbramsonPhD interpretation of religious text , needs a bit of in depth knowledge and bit of context. I have LOOKED IT UP, already. I was more interested in finding out , how would YOU interpret these with the background knowledge YOU have. Probably asked too much 😊
Thanks teacher I watch for you turkey..
Thanks. And the turkey thanks you too.
Would you do a video on Shlomo Sand's claims? You did one already relating to the Khazar theory but I would love one more comprehensive.
No, and please keep your comments relevant to the video.
@@HenryAbramsonPhD I apologize. Thank you so much for all your awesome videos. I have learned so much!
Have Jewish communities ever been inclusive and accepted outsiders who did not also convert to the Jewish religion?
Of course
@@HenryAbramsonPhD that's not true. Even Jews who do not conform to the religion, such as Spinoza for example, did not find tolerance in their community. The Orthodox will ostracize those who deviate from the religion. This is not the exception, it's the rule. And just as much if not more so, Jews are neither inclusive nor tolerant to outsiders living within their community. There is no historical or contemporary example of it. They advocate for outsiders to show tolerance to them, merely out of self interest, not as a moral principal that they reciprocate.

Thank you!
