Nothing beats the [2007] Fiesta Bowl, still one of the greatest College Football game in the century.
What a great game between two really well coached squads. It's a shame that each team got robbed out of getting a shot at a BCS school though.

This game was a lot better than I remembered. By the time the 4th quarter rolled around the intensity was through the roof.

Seeing a lot of Brotzman hate for missed kicks. Believe me, plenty of painful memories, a lot of wondering "what could have been", but the reality is, he's still statistically one of the better kickers in NCAA history. #21 all time for points scored

I love how Boise State wore the same away colors they used when they beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl 3 years prior.
If Kellen Moore had been drafted by the Saints and sat behind Drew Brees, he could have developed into a solid starting QB in the NFL

This was the best BSU squad ever… on both sides of the ball. Both teams should have had a shot at the title that year and both were snubbed by the snobs.

I wonder if the playoff would be more willing to include group of 5 schools in the playoff if TCU was still in the Mountain West or if Boise State was still as goods as they were back then
I’d say no, given how dirty the playoff has done just about any team that isn’t a brand name team to date.
Not to mention the blatant corruption done against specifically TCU and Boise State historically.
Like there literally is not a single mathematical reason why TCU didn’t play in a national championship in 2009.
1. TCU beat more ranked teams than Texas
2. TCU beat higher ranked teams than Texas
3. TCU beat higher ranked teams by a larger margin than Texas
4. TCU had statistically a better SOS than Texas
5. TCU had statistically a better offense than Texas
6. TCU had statistically a better defense than Texas
7. TCU had statistically a greater margin of victory than Texas.
Yet TCU was still ranked behind them…. It was all just blatant corruption and greed

I’m from Texas and not a TCU fan even though I live 3 hours from Fort Worth having said that TCU should have gone to the Sugar Bowl to face Florida and not Cincinnati which should have gone to this game to face Boise State better game match ups in my opinion.
False TCU should have played in the national championship game against Alabama.

Man I’ve watched highlights of this game, VT, Nevada, and etc. So many missed kick by the kicker. He literally was trash and Pederson didn’t do anything about it. Have freaking tryouts from students, soccer players, or other players. Jesus, the kicker literally cost them in 2010 against Nevada and TCU in 2011.
