I went to 2 strfkr concerts in 2017. One in Santa Ana, one in Santa Cruz. It was unreal. Towards the end of the concert, they all leave stage with the intro to this song playing in a loop. The crowd starts screaming "one more song, one more song". Then Strfkr comes back on stage, and when the beat of Isabella of Castille starts, it was the craziest chills I think I've ever had. Glass Animals on April 22nd and I am excited for that. Strfkr rules.
I too saw them twice in CA in 2017, and the 2nd show had this ending. I thought the show was done. I wanted to beat the merch table rush and I was just about to buy a new shirt when they came back and began. I feel bad for the merch guy because I screamed incoherently and ran back off to the stage. Was the greatest surprise and greatest ending.
I remember I tried a tab from Switzerland, I heard this song for the first time when I was 18 and that night, this song was playing in the background. I was at the skate park in the back by the railroad, we decided to walk down the tracks and it felt like an eternity, but for a second the moon connected a bolt of light towards each and everyone else around me. That moment was unforgettable. We all looked at each other and smiled at the euphoric feeling this song brought back to us.
This song is truly amazing.. "The beginning of philosophy is wonder. Philosophy is man's expression of curiosity about everything and his attempt to make sense of the world through his intellect."
Bruce G I discovered Alan Watts through a RUclips video when I was like 12 and am super happy more people have found him... we can have a radical revolution of the mind
I remember coming here years ago and the top comment really stuck with me. It needs to be back at the top: "If I could choose how I die, it would be floating in space listening to this song, looking back at Earth as I run out of air."
I saw em live theyre good. But i wouldnt go that far lol. MGMT, STRFKR and Empire of the Sun are essentially the same thing as far as musicality and skill
reminds me of the good times when i was in Secondary school. then it reminds me that it wasn't that good at all. nostalgia is a screwed up manifestation of our regret. we want to go back and our excuse is that the past was so much better. I messed up my grades and messed up my friendships. Messed up myself in the process too. I love to convince myself that i had awesome friends and did really well then because in comparison, it really was so much better then as now I live with the consequences. We are unwilling to face what our past mistakes have become- present day limitations. For example, I can't go to university as i flunked in school. I now can't find a job. and I never blame it on myself. Nostalgia is our stubborn avoidance of our mistakes and their impacts. love this song, keep on going.
i met this guy who was on vacation in my city, we hung out, partied, ate out, hiked, tripped, walked, talked.... for a few days and i truly feel like im a complete different person now... although he's gone now and took away more than a piece of me honestly, and i don't know how to explain what i'm feeling right now and i dont know what i can do with these feelings i have for him.... the things he did left.. the crazy ass memories and this song, in specific, i will treasure them in my heart forever. i sincerely hope to see him someday again and be like how the lyrics say, i want to keep you to myself [even though i know you'll never be all mine]... thanks for existing in my life for such short amount of time.. i will always think about you cesar... and for strfkr, thanks for making this amazing song that totally captured my feelings, you guys are fucking geniuses i know that's right hehe!!
I had a similar experience with a past love of mine and I remember sitting and listening to this in headphones tripping in the bedroom of one of our friends who died in 2016. At the time my love was a friend because he was in love with someone else but always kept me around. This song always makes me feel that pain I felt for so long of unrequited love.. he was listening to this thinking of her while I longed for him to love me. It’s such a beautiful song
You can feel the heartache and longing in every chord, every word, every drumbeat. I'd like to think the 1st verse was Columbus to Isabella and the 2nd was Isabella to Ferdinand, but so many of us have had this longing. I remember playing this on repeat for hours.
This song and "Rawnald Gregory Erikson The Second" are songs I play to chill out to with my wireless Bluetooth headphones, to drown out most of the noise around me when I'm about to lose my shit (my sanity/mind)
I have heard this song for years, my daughters dad showed it to me. We split and for many years later anytime I’d hear the beginning until the singing id bawl. That noise is internal and external and means so much to each individually. I felt it and many years later we’re back together not because of this song but now looking back I feel it again. Wow.
Been listening to them since 2012-2013. Use to smoke a lot of Ganja to indie electronica back then. Finally seeing them Live for the 1st time May 9th in Milwaukee :)
I know I should go, but I want to stay here with you. In this room, I can tell you'll never be all mine. Never mine. Okay. Never mine. Okay. Never mine. Okay. The beginning of philosophy is wonder. Philosophy is man's expression of curiosity about everything and his attempt to make sense of the world through his intellect. I know you have to go, but I want to keep you to myself. Like a dream, I can tell you'll never be all mine. Never mine. Okay. Never mine. Okay. Never mine. Okay. Thinking, of course, is a word used in many ways and is a very vague word for most people. But I use the word thinking in a very precise way. These are symbols, although sometimes symbols are a little bit more concrete.
Im 22 and nostalgia hits me hard,i live my past reckless more like no caring for myself and others...smoking pot taking painkillers,alcohol,glue...the world was carefree...,now im regretting it,but i would still missed it...,
Of all of their songs, this is the one that's really stuck with me and gotten me through the years. Saw them live and totally cried like a baby when they played it. Love forever. Thank you strfkr
Nostalgia big time listening to this song. My best friend at the time introduced me to this band with this song and rawnald Gregory ericksson the second. Still vibing to this today
This band deserves much more love......... I first heard their track in a movie ,(maybe two night stand) don't remember exactly after that i searched for the track then i met this amazing band 😍😍. Btw movie was also good.

Despite the short amount of time spent, it still hurts. I had hope I could love again. To you, my own Isabella, I will miss you, and hope to salvage a friendship ✌️
Bro, just relax, accept her company and enjoy with out be possesive, I went thru something similar and I learned to appreciate and accept that no one has to be from anyone and must enjoy what we really should, love, talk, dance. I recomend u to read Alan wats books (this band is inspired in his books)

It also had a lofi song called inhale, and a song by 3 inches of blood lol
I play Strfkr a lot, and my 5 and 6 year old daughters love their music too. When they ask the name of the band, I just say Star lol.
Ahahah that's cute
Star Fricker.
"Star Fudger"
STRFKR is the official abreviation
Star faker lol that’s what I tell my daughter

I was there dude!
That just gave ME chills!!!!
Sounds cheesy.
wow they sound just as cool in person as i imagined
this is one of those songs you want to play over and over again but also dont want to overplay
I think this is one of those rare exceptions where the song simply can't be overplayed.
I legitimately give myself a few months off just to appreciate it again. I only do that for the Beatles otherwise.
It's ok if you over play. Just gets a lil better each time. Quite unusual, actually.
This band is really good at those.
Like all the great ones
My child introduced me to this band. I love it so much and it always reminds me of her.
What a wonderful song to be reminded of your child about! ❤️

Life's full of awesome shit like that, if you continue to chase such moments imo!
Beautiful story! Thank you for sharing! :)
Yo this is nice, perfect song for that sort of thing to happen to
This song is certainly quite a trip. Psychadelic pop is an amazing genre.
when he sings "I know I should go, but I want to stay here with you", my heart breaks into tiny little pieces.
This song is truly amazing.. "The beginning of philosophy is wonder.

Allen Watts a famous Buddhist. Starfuvker samples his countless hours of lectures
..the man was brilliant and profoundly trippy

ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space... lol
And then Allen Watts sample snaps you into the reality of suffocation
There's such and overwhelming beauty and faint sadness in this song that just completely captivates you. I love it so much.
This band is on a whole different level unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. They must be from a different dimension in space and time. Wow.

this makes so much sense somehow

If you ever see this Andrea, seeing them was a highlight of our life. Even after 7 years.
I put my dog down to this song. It made the vet cry, I was surprised because they put down so many of our little friends everyday. RIP Smokey
Heartbreak and sorrow in every beat
