    Keep the barrel clean if you want accuracy, I came from a HW100 with a no cleaning regime so continued with my new DRS but suffered with accuracy until I was advised to clean it and keep it clean. Huge improvement, I believe it is the norm for the FX barrels. Also it is not a plenum on the sub 12ft/lb rifles, simply a block of metal. Good review by Giles on AirgunGearShow.

    Love ur videos but you really need to start taking your reviews a bit more seriously. You say “Now it is time for the full review after a good bit of testing” but yet you don’t even know how many shots per fill it gives… really? “Shot capacity is ummm errr… referring to FX’s website…” so you have had the rifle for a while but not even bothered to fill it and shoot it till it’s empty to see what show count you get? Used to like your reviews but it feels like you have only gotten the rifles 30 minutes before you record the video nowadays. Would be nice if you tested and learnt the rifle you were reviewing rather than just reading off the specs from the website.

      Fx told him not to discuss shot count. People are complaining they’re not getting enough shots and FX does not want that getting out till they sell more.

    That FXDRS design was stolen from Artemis,m30 the Artemis cost $300. And now JTS, which has some of the most accurate guns in the world is offering the same platform as the DRS with a three-year warranty and superb accuracy. Well over what the FX can deliver for $500. It is much higher quality. It doesn’t have the weak valve that a fax makes and the stock is superbly made. The stock is similar to a daystates stock.

    Them vertical and horizontal group shots that appear regular in your pellet group tests, why I wonder.
    Have you shot any groups without the moderator fitted. Nice looking gun though.

    The snowpeak m30 I think was the first to market with the air cylinder barrel sleeve. I hope FX has improved on it. As I have a walnut one on order.

    Amazing the engineering thats gone into hiding a small air tank around the barrel when the stock is a big hollow synthetic that could easily hold a small airtank inside it and keep the slim design without the tube tank on the barrel

    • @Seasidesurfer
      @Seasidesurfer 11 дней назад +1

      Stock is not hollow, I've drilled it for a picatinny rail.

    • @MJSherwood
      @MJSherwood 11 дней назад

      @Seasidesurfer but I could be. Or at least they could have made a stock with a hollowed core to contain a 200cc bottle.

      They're set for the sub-12 market in the UK, they run at about 11.8 with the heaviest pellet in whatever calibre you choose.

    Sub 12 and pigeons is very hit and miss with my gamo phox, it just don't have the pinpoint accuracy that FX do, I have a DRS on order, how long is the typical wait for one?

    Great video as always, so yes I’ve not shot this but I take your findings as blood in stone 😅, your more often than not spot on with your reviews, So my comments on this rifle based on your review and the gun shooting? Personally I 100% agree I love the looks of this gun,outstanding….. but then this is where it ends for me….ive seen you shoot NEW guns that need leading,that shoot WAY better,so thats putting a downer on this gun,then the price? Well FX own Guns available in its catalog…..? The Dreamline Classic,not only looks 98% As good but shoots better if we consider YOUR reviews and not really a price difference at todays prices, what I do love about this rifle is its looks and weight,
    However can I make a suggestion? QYS pellets? Why are you not adding these into your list instead of 3tins of H&N,QYS are the one of the market leaders at the moment in popularity in 177. I’d even buy you a tin 😜

      You can not compare this rifle to the Dreamline in any way. They are both made by Fx that’s it. Dreamline is FAR superior in every way. I own one.

    • @davidpaylor5666
      @davidpaylor5666 3 месяца назад +1

      The Dreamline uses the same barrel liner, surely? That's FX's big thing, using tensioned interchangeable barrel liners.

    Another great review Neil, for all those Naysayers who seem to referring to the Artemis M30, yes that particular rifle did have a similar set up, but that's where similarity ends, the Artemis that I owned some years ago, was crap, as a confirmed FX owner of the last few years or so, an Impact, Wildcat & in my opinion the best sub £1k Rifle currently available, the Dreamline, although mine bears no resemblance to the Classic as I bought it as just before lock down , now has the Tactical kit fitted with Donnyfl silencer, there is a space ready in my gun cabinet for the Walnut stock DRS when it eventually comes into stock, which I can't wait to get my mitts on it 👍

      NOooo. I hope you haven't. I've got the DRS and have had the S510 and the HW100, both recognised for their accuracy and reliability. Traded in my HW100 for the DRS and though I love it for many reasons including looks, weight, it does not compare to the reliable accuracy of either an S510 or HW100.

    I was really looking forward to this rifle, as it looks fantastic. It would have been my first pcp, unfortunately however, every single video I've seen showing off it's accuracy has been extremely off putting.
    I mean I can get better groups at 50 yards with a stock 97k, this DRS has terrible performance for a pcp.
