- It's time to take a look at some awesome new hardware. This is what is going into the new kit build from Precision Guitar Kits. This beauty is getting some high quality components from Schaller, Schecter, Babicz, and Gun Street Wiring Shop. I'm looking forward to doing the test fit in the next video.

That guy spared no expense, looks excellent. Looking forward to the next video. Have a great day Brad.
Thank you; he made some great selections.
I love it!....This is like seeing all the parts of a well planned assembly and envisioning all the possible combinations without looking at the instructions! 😊 I'm a sucker for monocolor finishes, and look forward to seeing the paint.
Thanks Paul
Man, I can't wait to see this build come together and hear those pickups!!! I will say Gunstreet no longer does custom wiring, unfortunately. That wiring matches the DJ Ashba LP setup, I believe.
Oh no. That’s news to me, but understandable.
@BradAngove I will also say that PGK kits don't automatically include the cavity covers. They have to be added at checkout for an extra $20.
@bigkahuna100 thanks; somehow I didn’t realize that.
Nice!
nice!
Love the full contact Babicz bridges. I put them on 2 Precision Tele style kits. I'm certain that it noticeably helps with the sustain.
That wouldn’t surprise me at all.
The man Bran! Lol the lunatic! Bwahhh! Keep em coming! The guitar's...
So glad i caught you mid build! Really tempted to try one myself, are the made to order kits really 11 week waits?
Currently, they are around 8-9 weeks for shipping on the Made To Order kits.
They don't come with hardware, but the neck and fretwork is the best I've ever seen on a kit guitar. You can get away doing zero fretwork right out of the box, although ALL guitars usually need a little bit, right out of the box.
True
Brad, I have a project I'm working on right now in which I've stained the top of the body first, and finally got to the back and sides. Unfortunately, since I laid it flat to dry after staining the back/sides, some of the stain from the sides looks like it ran onto the top and dried. Should I sand back with a slightly finer grit and restain those spots? Or is there a better way to kind of touch it up?
I think that’s probably going to be your only option. Anything that would remove that stain will remove the prior stain as well unless they’re completely different types.
@@BradAngove thank you!!
Heads up... The screws for the knobs will already be in the knobs.
Haha you would think. In this case they aren’t for some reason. The knobs were a custom order from an individual apparently.
@@BradAngove lol, problematic. Maybe use some puddy to fill the holes and redo them to fit the pots using a dremel ?
@hollierthanthou83 I think we’re probably just going to go with different pots. Otherwise I may have to dowel them, which I don’t want to do because they may not end up perfectly centered.
I have a question, can you spray 2k clear over gloss acrilic enamel? Thank you
I certainly have. I’m not sure if it’s recommended, but it has always worked for me.
@@BradAngove thank you!! Best refinishing channel ever!
I thought you preferred Obsidian Wire controls.
Obsidian Wire tend to spec theirs to fit the popular brands, and not DIY builds.
I like both, but obsidian won’t fit in this build. They are upgrade parts specifically fit for popular models like Hollie said.
Babicz stuff would be awesome if not for that hideous logo plastered all over everything.
You could always use a different tail piece.
I always have. 😉
