      The teacher said "Thank you so much for watching THIS lesson" because the lesson was still on even though she was wrapping it up.To your comment: Wouldn't it be Thank you so much for THAT lesson.? By the time you typed the comment the lesson was over.T Just wondering ...

    • @LearnEnglishwithLee
      @LearnEnglishwithLee 7 лет назад +1

      Haha, good point. However, still think "thank you for this lesson" is better because it implies a closer distance to the object i.e. the lesson. "Thank you for that lesson" suggests more distance e.g. a lesson from before :-)

    I know this is a helpful one. grammar is only a guide when you are learning languages. the most effective way on how to get the fluency that you want, is just to speak a lot rather than studying grammar alone. I have been studying English for a long time. now in order for me to me able to express my thoughts, feelings and ideas in English, i will speak a lot..

    The point about introduction has the same meaning as the first one about an object being near or far from you. if you are introducing a person by saying this is my friend it means that he's standing close to you or near you and if you're saying that is my brother John that means that he is standing far away. So I don't really get the difference between the 1st and the lost points.
