The 'Mercedes noises' are a broken blend air door actuator. It's under the dash.
Normally I see an RCR giveaway car and go “I wouldn’t mind that..” but this? I got a visceral reaction and a mighty need to relive my memories of Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2.
Putting the key in disables the push button start, leave the key in your pocket, the doors should lock when you pull the handle and lock with the button on the handle. Aswell as start with the button when the key is in your pocket. Also in the last video you said it was air suspension, it’s actually hydraulic and is constantly adjusting itself to counter sway and pitch. The most minor failure or leak is an automatic $2000a pair of struts will total it.

It's a really cool car, but it's a really poor choice as a giveaway car. I mean good luck maintaining it unless you can wave away 4-5 figure repair bills, otherwise you're sitting on a famously unreliable financial timebomb. There's a reason these cars have depreciated to almost 1/10 of their original value... Again it's awesome, but be really careful.
The winner would need pockets big enough to have one back in 06!

I mean that's how this works. If you average it out, you'd have to pay more per car you win than the price of the car. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense for anyone to make these "win a prize" contests.

Hmm, my VW Touareg has xenons and doesn’t have washers.
Unless the shifter start button stopped working like my w211. Assuming you have keyless-go, you don’t need to put the key in, then start button should work.
It has a giant subwoofer in the back…probably had a remote starter installed or someone fucked with all the wiring. This car is a ticking time bomb to whoever wins it.

As soon as you put the key in it disables the starter button. You have to choose to either use the key in ignition or the starter button.
I love how a car worth 175847$ in today's money features a gas cap holder as a thing. My 1995 Corolla worth 36$ in today's money features a gas cap holder too.

Had those pillar-less windows in my Peugeot 207CC. Was skeptical at first if it would work in the cold but at -15C with a nice layer of ice on the car, no problem at all: It lowered the window half an inch right instantly as you pull on the door handle and the seal was on the rear window. Sold it with a lot of mileage, window had no problems whatsoever.
If I won this car it would immediately go up on Cars&Bids for a quick $15k, lol. I stopped participating in these giveaways after the $500 50x solicitation, the model seems a bit more busted than other giveaways out there.

Using that ride height system is perfect. 1. It works 2. Nothing is stuck because it hasn't been used. You have to use these systems in cars so they keep working.

If you have the keyless go working, the key wont need to be in the igntion to start via the pushbutton on the shifter.

The number of flimsy excuses I used to yell "GRAVEL MODE!" and push the ride height button when I tested a Taycan Cross Turismo was...a big number. Haha.

I have an 03 cl55. How did you get your trunk to stay up without it closing ? I can't get mine to stay up. Just like yours the trunk opener is inop.
Benzes and aftermarket audio equipment are like oil and water... might explain the jumper in the trunk lol. Don't wanna know what kind of fault codes are stored on that thing
Welcome to the wonderful weird world of Mercedes. Have you found the battery yet? That pillarless window design was attempted on Pontiacs in the late '60's and early '70's. It sorta kinda worked, but without the auto window cracker the weather seals eventually gave out. Sell that sub cuz yur gonna need the cash for regular maintenance.

I brought a CL500 for 2.4k. after a year of ownership. I had spent 4k keeping it maintained. 😂
Check the fuses first. If they r ok its a sensor. Run module codes. If thats ok try SHUTTING THE DOOR

On my STS V you hold down the button for like 10 seconds. If you just push it T/C off pops up but then when you hold it down the stability system off message pops up

C215/W220 AMG products are probably about the least reliable Mercedes products you can buy of the past 20 years. Part of that is because they debuted brand new tech that was then refined later. Part of it COULD be the supposed cost cutting.

Those are the same tires on my STS V I just got on the road…. It was my dads and while it was in my driveway way mice made a nest in between the blower and intake and chewed through half the main harness and chew through the 6 wires that connected the battery to the main harness. Couldn’t find one so I had to mend it myself. Forgot how fast that son bitch is. And the STS V has double pained glass. That tripped me out You ought to review one they are pretty rare and this one’s been turning heads at the car meets

If that Keyless Go system was working properly, you would NOT need to put the key in at all. Have you even tried it with the key out? Even if it is 100% functional the button may not do anything by design when the key is inserted.

My 1965 Chevy Malibu 2d hardtop had no center pillar. Somehow I could open the door without having to wait for Deutscheselektroniks to grant me permission. And the windows didn’t leak. 1965. Just sayin.

@@chrisp679 I have a E350 coupe with keyless go. Not only was his foot not on the brake, but he kept putting the key into the ignition which disables the function.
It's either key out, push button, or key in, no push button.
owned a cl55. he's missing the keycard that makes it all work. it's a credit card-like key that you need to carry.

My 2011 Mazda 6 i Touring has all the doodads, buttons and even a decent head unit.
Granted it has a 2.5 4cylander, but I bet I get better gas mileage than an overpriced 06 Merc.
Besides there is only a 65mph speed limit.
Why make such a fast car that can go 180 when the speed limit is 65?
I know I know, it's more of a status symbol than anything else.

That's called paying for the name Way overpriced. When something breaks on this "supercomputer" you're gonna pay out the nose to fix it. Especially if that someone wins this who can't afford to replace a super charger or even a lightbulb on one of these things. Especially in this horrible economy. I love my pencil and paper and it will outlast this "super computer" by years.

@@thahbx How many 2006 Chevy Malibus could you buy for the price of this thing? If you needed common parts for a CL55 how much more would it cost for an OEM part than a GM one? If ego is worth more than money, sure this car is objectively worth more. Personally I'd rather have a Ford Fusion.
