Nice Channel man, info is spot on. Also got a mini t & b, for charging it at 2C; are there any long-term effects to charging at 1.2A? I find the IR values tend to jump when over 1C charge.
I'm no battery expert, but conventional wisdom says that charging over 1C typically will reduce LiPo lifespan, while also increasing risk of failure and/or fire. This is typically the result of increased heat generated during the charge event. I believe, therefore, that it is more important to monitor LiPo heat during charge/discharge versus obsessing over charge rate. Different mfgs and models of battery seem to respond differently to charge rates. Go over a certain rate, however, and your pack is guaranteed a short life.
Great, detailed review! Definitely appreciate the description of the mushy channel button, since that's very relevant to something like this where you have to swap between channels regularly. Are you still enjoying this charger? Any other quirks?
Thank you. So far still working well for me with no issues. The lack of set profiles doesn’t bother me as much as I thought it would because the click wheel is quick and the display/software are intuitive.
Likely comparable. If you watch the whole vid, I test readings using a calibrated Fluke DVM and values were accurate from the Hota. Can't really speak to durability as I've only owned this a few months + pandemic limited track time means not a lot of hours on it.
Modified a refurbed HP 1200FB. If you don't mind spending a bit more to save time and hassle, you can buy one ready to use from places like RaceDayQuads, eBay or AMain. That way, all connectors and jumpers are already installed and it becomes plug n play. You can also opt for the HOTA T240, which is a supply specifically designed to mate up with the P6. I will put a link to that in the description.
Good to know. Mine is still chugging away - fingers crossed that my fan doesn't do the same thing. Have you contacted HOTA or your dealer for a warranty claim?
In the PDF there is fast charging. I use for my planes and quads. I’m running my P6 off a Getfpv 400w 24v PS.
How does trickle charge work? Review please.
Você mudando a amperagem de uma não atrapalha a outra que está carregando ?

@@neorcracer5289 That's great to hear. So the mushy channel button hasn't gotten worse?
No, thankfully it hasn’t gotten any worse
Love the review.
For the external discharge function does the battery need to be within the minimum input voltage to work or can it be used for 2s lipos as well?
I couldn’t get it to bypass the minimum voltage lockout so no go on 2s lipos unless there’s a hack or patch out there I’m not aware of.
can i use usb c pd charging for charging my batteries
There are PD capable hobby chargers available but this one in my vid does not specifically offer a usb-c port, nor does it support that standard.
You could also go the route of using a PD power supply and a usb / xt60 adapter
How is the quality/accuracy compared to other Hota (d6 pro/d6+) ?
Likely comparable. If you watch the whole vid, I test readings using a calibrated Fluke DVM and values were accurate from the Hota. Can't really speak to durability as I've only owned this a few months + pandemic limited track time means not a lot of hours on it.
Where do you get the dc adapter from?

@@neorcracer5289 Good morning, do you know if I can connect a 14.6v 150Wh cinema battery? or a 19v 4a notebook charger? thanks a lot!!
1 month and the fan stopped working on mine. the power source is fine but this charger part is not working now.
Good to know. Mine is still chugging away - fingers crossed that my fan doesn't do the same thing. Have you contacted HOTA or your dealer for a warranty claim?
What are the dimensions of the fan?
Realy late but either put a new fan on it or contact your dealer and get it warrantied
