No, the wool mark is still in use on clothes today. The wool mark can help you determine what age your garment is NOT more so than it tells you when it was made. You’ll have to use other methods for that. Thanks!
Wollen Navy P coat. Or an old army wool banket. Cashmere is one of my favorites. The olive drab German WW2 wool sweaters are pretty dang warm. The 1960s button up. Mr Rogers neighborhood. Classic.
In many cases, yes. I wouldn’t use the absence of a Woolmark as the only method in determining its age because there are Pendleton garments from vintage eras and modern that don’t include it. The best way to use this method is when the mark is present, which positively identifies it as being made after 1964. I will be doing a video on Pendleton this year and we will go over more methods for dating Pendleton. Thanks!

Alsonthey didn't really start putting percentage on shirts untill 60s some did in the 50s but was uncommon

Acrylic is in the polyester family.
