  • The Marais Project & Duo Langborn/Wendel did tours of Australia and Sweden before embarking on this album which was recorded in Stockholm in the summer of 2023.
In this video the performers talk about how they came to choose 'Kärestans död' as the lead song of the album. The ancient tune of this Knight’s Ballad (Swedish: Riddarvisor or Riddarballader, which translates as Knight’s Ballad or Ballads of Chivalry), is the origin of the Swedish national anthem. The song tells the heart breaking story of a man coming home to his village to find his fiancé has died while he was away.
Kärestans död appears on our 'Nordic Moods & Baroque Echoes' album which is out on the MOVE Records label and streams on major platforms. Stream here - open.spotify.c...
