- In this tutorial we will setup Nuke 12 to run offline with a fully normal installation of running the licence off the workstation as a server licence.
We use a virtual network card to run Nuke off it.
Custom batch created so that the Applications runs offline.
Caution this batch disables your main network connection, there is no internet connection while you are running Nuke 12.
Does it also work with windows 11? Is a virtual network card a physical object?
No it is a virtual network card so that means it runs in software only there is no actual physical port. A virtual network card is important for testing applications you could run a web server on that IP without using your main connection you can test out a website running on a web server running in that virtual network card so it is very handy. Virtnet still works on Windows 10,11 and most likely beyond.
does this method works with nuke 13 too ? and also how do I have to install the application on virtual server. I mean before the stage of the video. Are those applications installation from official website or pirated sources.
Yep, as long as it's the same services. This is for legitimate users. There is the RLM patched files which don't require the installation of the RLM server, but what fun would that be not to see the complete and utter pathetic services these jokers install lol
@@danfuerthgillis4483 I'm wondering this kind of virtual network method works with 3rd party rendering engine (octane, redshift) for cinema4D?
@@aungthantkyaw6845 Most of those renderers are locally licenced so they all should work even offline as long as it’s licence it attached to a virtual network card.
Just a noobie question, how can i create a new network profile for virtnet. Is there any tutorial where can i find that ?
@@aungthantkyaw6845 You don't need to create any profiles ( multiple installs). All these apps can be tied to the same virtual network card. If you do however want to have lets say 4 virtual network cards, just install as legacy hardware and install the driver manually again, as this will create a new virtual network card. You only need one virtual network card though. All the Autodesk, Foundry apps are using the same network card. If you want to run multiple apps at the same time just remove the calls for the virtual network card from the batch and leave the virtual network card running and just disable the real network card. This way all apps will be using the virtual network card but they won't interfere with it ( enable/disable after exiting).
