  • This video will help you disable the Fanuc Safety saftey inputs, that are setup to receive EXTERNAL inputs.
In other words, making the Fanuc Robot controller look for ONLY internal inputs (e.g. E-stops on the teach pendant and Controller).

I had the same problem at work last night and reset the PLC (the external device trying to communicate) and the that also aloud me to clear the fault. Does anyone know what “IMSTP” means? I’ve been looking for a while and can’t find anything on it

      This^^
I know it's late lol. That error is usually for e-stops which can include a ton of things like even having the cabinet door open. Basically anything that could cause an "immediate stop" can and will have that error code pop up

      Is yours a welding cell?
Usually many e-stops on them, check them all and make sure they are pulled out. Even having the cabinet doors open a bit can cause these alarms. Generally the most often one you see is the stop on the pendant. They get dropped or something and that estop or Deadman can break/ get damaged and can trip that error

    Hi Rick,
I am working on a Canucks robot and still struggling on how to put it back running again.
I have an error message: “external e-stop” showing on my handheld device. I can’t clear it and nor reset it.
    Can you help?
