    I've had several 3157 bulbs where the filament still looks good but the bulb was actually faulty . Never had that happen on the old 1157's or 2057's . Now we have computers controlling everything including the turn signals ! Thanks for the tip ! Great video as always !

    Ford could make it easier for the client by simply clearing the fault via the ignition switch (non push to start) and it works. Replace whatever faulty bulb that needs changing. Then cycle the ignition on/off then start the vehicle as you would normally. The exterior light module will see the fault go away and the faulty bulb indicator will go out. This is what BMW did back in the 90's on its 7 series cars, never an issue with that setup unless you didn't know about it or were unfamiliar with the reset procedure.......

    Great info thxs.. I just had the right brake light bulb blow on my 01 Lightning. I just replaced the bulb & everything is fine. Tidbit: my owners manual list 3457 as the replacement bulb for brake lights.

    I have found so many times when people bring vehicles in for lighting issues that the wrong bulb was installed somewhere. Just because it plugs into the socket doesn't mean it's the right bulb.

      Try a newer Suburban LED taillight. South Main Auto did a vid on that one. Have to replace the whole unit at about $700 if I recall correctly. But the good news is you get a core credit if you return the old one😏

      @@FordBossMe , yeah I bought mine from a dealer in Oklahoma City who decided to have the tail light assemblies and third brake light tinted with VHT nightshade paint. Looks reeeaaally cool, but not very practical. I decided to put brighter LED bulbs in and immediately learned about this issue. Drove it like that for about 8 months, then I quit being lazy and got out the meter and soldering iron and fixed it. Thanks for the content, we all surely appreciate it, I recommend your channel to people all the time. Have a good week, be well.

    So I just put LED turn signals / brake lights in and now have the hyper flash. ONLY inside the cabin, the lights all flash as they should outside except the sound clicks too fast as if one was blown. I really dont want to wire in resistors, will try my obd2 scanner now.

    • @realryanward
      @realryanward Год назад +1

      No codes, but I cleared anyways. No change. I think its just an issue needing a resistor. I'm not doing that so I'm going to disable the notification in Forscan!! #winning .

      I would recommend not doing that because the computer could lose it's memory and settings =will start rough etc. Clear the code, or just turn the vehicle on/off a few times = give the computer a chance to see the bulb is now good.

    2019 Ford F150 stock lights, all of a sudden right rear turn signal begin hyper clicking so I replace both left and right rear lights with Lasfit LED’s and now the left rear turn signal is hyper clicking and the right rear turn signal is working normally. What gives?

  • @deepaklopez7436
    @deepaklopez7436 Год назад

    Okay, so I got BCM code for front right signal so I can reset that code B123B:11 bc everything good that Inspected and replaced bulb, too. So i guess that I have to clear that code log or I can just click BCM reset.

    These dual filament bulbs have people assuming all these crazy things need work when one part fails.
    It would be less wasteful to design the car with seperate bulbs for each function, but everything is made with planned obsolescence in mind so the more functions something has, the more profit in repairing or replacing it.
    Gee, kinda makes you hope they don't start using that philosophy on humans....err wait a second....
    *gets third shot in one year for the same thing* 💉
