    +Emmanuelle Caplette You're amazing! I've been following you since Myspace days. After 40 years of playing, I recently began suffering severe pain in my thumb. Clearly I'd developed some bad habits and technique that were catching up with me. A couple mos. ago, I bought two of your beginner videos. I can honestly say you saved my drumming. My technique has improved immensely. I play faster and, more importantly, way more relaxed and pain free. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

    Emmanuelle, thank you so much for what you do. I've never had a lesson and learned by air-drumming and on my lap and feet. I finally have a drum set and time to practice, so your channel is my go-to source for amazing lessons! Please don't stop!

    Wow my new favorite drum,teacher. I love how you play everything slow at first. So many drum guys out there that yeah at a hundred miles an hour. I don't know what they are thinking? Slow and relaxed is always the way to start. You have really nice relaxed timing. You won me over. Thanks a bunch for your good help............... Lance k. H

    • @chucktouchton398
      @chucktouchton398 3 года назад

      I've always started out slowly with my understudies. It only makes sense to start out slowly and focus on timing and stick control before attempting to play at 180 bpm from the get go...I have never really seen other drum instructors start out at blistering speed. I was in marching band, oh...almost 20 years ago and was fortunate to have a good instructor when learning rudiments and reading sheet music...
      Sad to hear that you have had bad experiences with other instructors.
      Glad you found an awesome instructor in Emmanuelle!

      If i can help. There 4 things to practice when you practice drum. 1- technique (this video and hannah ford stick control) 2- fills (lot of fills on drumeo and youtube) 3- indepence (drumeo or theold lady from jazz on youtube. 4- play drum with drumless or with your preferband.

  • @brianmann01
    @brianmann01 6 лет назад

    I love this lady and truly respect her very strong discipline. She snaps the sticks together at the end of each exercise which leads me to believe she has had some time in drumline(s). J'aime ton style de jeu et ton désir d'enseigner aux autres. Que tu es aussi très belle fait de tes leçons un vrai bonheur à regarder.

      80 BPM is not really that fast. A lot of students start at 70 or 90 so 80 is very reasonable especially since these are very basic strokes. Just slow it down until you can master it. Being able to play slow is just as important as being able to play fast. Excellent exercise. She didn't stress stroke technique too much, but I would focus on full strokes for this exercise.
