The music video was filmed in Siberia, Krasnoyarsk Territory, on the Chulym River. 30 km from the village of Pasechnoye (the capital of the Chulyms). This is the birthplace of the members of the OTYKEN group. Chulyms are the smallest indigenous peoples of Siberia. According to one version, the Chulyms are the ancestors of the Japanese Ainu and the indigenous peoples of North America. According to another version, the Chulyms are an ancient Turkic tribe.
The song OTYKEN - STORM talks about the difficulties that people face while traveling to the East. The music of the OTYKEN group is dedicated to giving kindness and warm light to all people on the Earth! The magical power of our music will heal your soul and your body as well, and it can even send you into trance.

This video was before some major instrument upgrades. The largest drum arrived. The Ikili got its horns. And the bass guitar goes naturalistic.

Меня умиляет реакция людей, когда они, не разобравшись, начинают смеяться над костюмами, действиями, манерой пения, инструментами и прочее...
Песня совсем без юмора (ну, может очень мало, скорее юмор здесь как заряд надежды на лучшее, на оптимизм).
Не просто так песня называется Шторм.
Они, группа Otyken находятся на острие шторма, я так понимаю, укрощают его, призывая в помощь своих ДУХОВ.
Кто не заметил или не обратил внимание в самом конце песни они поворачиваются в одну сторону и начинают радоваться. А ведь впервые в этом клипе появились тени от людей и предметов!
Солнце показалось из-за облаков! Они прогнали ШТОРМ!

Don't take my laughter for humor, it's joy. I think what they are doing is wonderful and I love the costumes, music , and meaning behind their writing and delivery. It's more fascination if anything. I support it.

Well, in general, Russian musical culture is an unknown layer. There are a lot of diamonds there.
Approximately 30 years ago, a European group "Deep Forest" was musically oriented towards Africa. (Particularly successful album 1994).
Yeah, I noticed when I did some digging how many different historical cultural entities are there. and to have those traditions brought into today's music industry is really great! Otyken is one great example! Love it. More to come.

Dane - I've been fan of Otyken when the lead singer was Taida. Very mysterious back then & many people are confused when they have only heard songs with Azyan. I have about 100 or so videos by them saved in a playlist of just Otyken. Would take to long to bio for you so you can search yourself but I'll try & get you started. Also the comment recommending "Wild Girls" is a good one. There are at least 6 other versions of that including the current one titled "Pulse". New songs probably best for your reaction channel, but try & check these older ones out for yourself.

Dont know why people pronounce the name OTUKEN. theres no u in tne word
Different dialects in different regions. "y"s sound like "u" in siberian/russion I suppose.
@@DaneBramageROCKS more accurately it's written in Cyrillic, not in the Latin alphabet, and in Cyrillic, the letter 'y' represents the sound 'u' (in Russian at least).
