Adidas SolarGlide 5: A great long run shoe for heavy runners?

Being a heavier runner, I'm very hard on shoes. Finding something that works to give me the right cushioning, durability, and stability on the long run can be difficult. The Adidas Solar Glide 5 is one of the greatest surprises I had thus year with running shoes !
I'm a light weight runner and I still love my Solar Glide 5 .
For me it is as amazing as my lightweight high cushioning running shoes Asics Gel-Nimbus 24. It is not just as versatile but it is more secure and comfortable for long runs above an hour and a half of duration.

Good review, I've been on the fence over this shoe. If you like Boost, try the Solar Boost. To me it's the best compromise between weight and that classic Boost cushy feel. Lighter than Ultraboost, still plenty Boosty.
I also have the minimalist Adidas Adizero Prime with thin Boost sole from several years ago, one of the last true racing flats Adidas made before giving in to the max cushion trend. I have run 10 miles in it, once, and could feel every pebble in the road. But it's better suited to short speed days or track sessions.
And I tried the Supernova+, twice. Hated it. Felt like a cheap knockoff or counterfeit shoe. Adidas isn't doing themselves any favors with the Supernova lineup.
