@@violethill4454 the battery is the only thing that I don't like about the laptop. Battery life definitely drains more when you're playing games but social media isn't so bad

Nope, all laptops I've used with high-refresh displays cannot operate at anything less than their maximum refresh rate. Couldn't tell you why, I also wish they were able to run slower.
Yes, you could do that on the advanced display settings, there's the option to put it on 60hz
Great review! Btw I have mine on the way with 16 GB of Ram and the GTX 1650 Ti so they do sell these with 2x8 gigs of ram, at least in some regions

The USB3.1 type C gen 1 port ain't seems to support HDMI video display. I've another Lenovo tablet with similar USB 3.1 type C gen 1 works fine with an external HDMI display. Any advise?
I think you can check the reviews on google. The usb c only support data transfer, didn't support visual display and charger
I found in local retail store version called Creators Edition, but it looks physically identical to Gaming 3 with difference in color. It states that it has different display with 100% Adobe RGB, and other specs are like Gaming 3. But I didn't find many information about it online. Is it really the same configuration with different display or there are hidden pros and cons?

Do you know if the battery is removable
A removable battery means it clips in and out easily, like the laptops of olde. Which this laptop most certainly is not.
A "user serviceable" battery unplugs and screws in and out with ease.
The possibility is a solid 80 percent chance that this battery can be replaced *if* you can find it on ebay or amazon.
There is a 1TB+256 GB SSD version available at Lenovo India at around 70K INR(approx 930 USD). Think it's a good deal?
I don't know what the market is like in India but I'd pay $900 for this laptop if it had an i7 and 120Hz screen regardless of storage space.

I am searching for notebook that looks appropriate for using it at work, but still having decent GPU for casual gaming. This model looks fine, although I would be more comfortable if it had SD card reader and maybe one more USB input. Nice review. Thanks.

Yes. You can upgrade/increase the storage probably up to 512 Gb or 1TB depending on the type of SSD you want to choose. You can add another NVMe m.2 SSD to the second slot but you have to give up the 2.5" drive, or you can replace 1TB HDD with a 2.5" SATA SSD as your 2nd storage for your games and files.

Hi Theje, I'm from LA and im ordering this laptop next week. Now my question is what's the purpose of the thing it comes on the box? that you plug in on 3:56, is it necessary to plug in that thing? I'm sorry if my english isn't that good I'm still not used to it thx!
That is for installing a 2.5" hard drive. If the laptop you ordered comes with the secondary 1TB hard drive then you won't have to worry about it.
@@Slap_Tech Mine comes with 1 TB and as far as I know it has a slot M.2 empty, maybe my better option is to put on a 128 gb ssd chip and install the o.s there isnt it

Hey man great video but i just have 1 question. Im interested in buying the 8gb of ram version like urs and then buying another 8gb stick down the road for a 2x8 (16gb) total in dual channel. The question i have is, is this a good idea or will i run into compatibility issues mixing 2 ram sticks? And what ram stick did u get in ur lenovo laptop? What company made it? It's never mixed two different types of RAM, like don't make Samsung with crucial. You can get a pair of 3,200 MHz crucial 8 GB to sticks on Amazon right now for $56. I just put it in my laptop last night and it recognized it just fine. Lenovo gives you good RAM though it was a 8 GB stick of Samsung 2666 and the NVMe is a small Samsung
You can mix ram, just make sure it is same ddr. And same speed mhz. Not problem mixing ram brands.
brands is fine, if you want to run dual channel make sure both RAM sticks have the same:
-Memory size
-Speed
-Generation (e.g DDR4)
I have the same laptop but it comes with a 1TB HDD instead of SSD but I have the SSD for the OS right after I purchased it. I'd stick with two RAMs of the same frequency. The i5 10300h supports only up to 2933MHz. So even if you have a 3200MHz, it will downclocked to just 2933Mhz. I tried that before and I expected that will happen. By the way, according to Lenovo Vantage, it is a Kingston brand but yours might be different.
@Deadpool You can still go dual channel but it will downclocked to 2666 MHz instead. I would suggest buy a 2933 Mhz stick online or go for 3200 MHz like I do. It will still downclocked to 2933 MHz. Even if you have both 3200 MHz RAM installed, it will still downclocked to 2933 MHz because Intel specified the RAM speed for i5 10300H. A AMD Ryzen 5 4600H won't give you any problems about RAM since its native RAM frequency is 3200MHz.

This is about as fast as the GTX 1650 can go, so it uses up all 50W in the Lenovo Gaming 3i.

Yeah it's a weird number. Just throw whatever you can in there. I put a 2666 stick in there, worked fine. Lenovo is pretty good about mixing brands/speeds. Much more forgiving than, say, Dell.

@@yonimizrahi2085 I'll admiit that incompatibility issues may take time to become a problem and there may be issues that I just haven't encountered yet. And it's never a bad idea to use matching memory sticks. But so far it's been all good, no issues.
Is this a good choice for Valorant/CSGO? I've a 1080 Desktop PC and am just looking for something to take to LANs/Game downstairs?
I bought the laptop, but with a Ryzen 5 4600H instead. You'll get 160FPS on low settings at 1080p for CSGO, but ive seen reviews where it goes upto over 200fps with 16GB RAM. So if you're looking for a good laptop, this'll be perfect, and if you need more performance just buy another 8GB stick of RAM.

@@akmalazman3038 When I'm using zoom/RUclips/ web browsing I can get anywhere between 4-5 hours of use. Also when I put the laptop to sleep it's extremely efficient and it doesn't really lose much charge, so it feels like it lasts longer, even though it doesn't.
@@dhevarsh what's your brightness settings and what is your battery wattage? I'm having problems with my laptop battery life. Even at 50% brightness, quiet and battery saver mode, my battery wattage stays at 20W, which gives me only 2 hrs 15 mins of web surfing and youtube only🤦🤦. I'm so sad right now
@@akmalazman3038 I'm not sure about my battery wattage, but I keep my brightness at anywhere between 40-75% while not gaming. If you're only getting 2 hours then I suggest you call Lenovo customer care because that's only half the battery life I have

Ordered one for a personal machine. Comes standard with a 6 core i7, additional 8GB RAM as a gift(Christmas promo, I guess) and I also asked for a 1TB M2 SSD. Seems like a pretty decent laptop for generic usage plus 3d modeling and casual gaming :)
$699 for the 60hz, and an additional 1tb 5400rpm HDD, from B&H. All the others specs were the same as your's.
I just bought it. I can't wait to try it out when I get it :D

@@integrapwnyou same here friend, my old laptop wasn't cutting it for video editing, and school. I have a gaming rig as well, so I don't use this for gaming put purely for video editing, case notes, and school work. The battery life is a bit disappointing. Transferring files from a flashdrive, you could see a 1% drain about every 1-2 minutes.

This seems to my best “cheap” choice in Bangkok. How are the thermals man? The design seems old and inefficient
I have this laptop but the primary storage config is 1TB HDD instead of other budget gaming laptops that come with at least 256Gb SSD (like Acer Nitro 5 which is also 10th gen i5. I would like to have the AMD version but they are ALWAYS out-of-stock). The specifications are similar to my dream PC so I'm happy with it. I like the sleeper or stealthy look of it but it is up to personal preference. I recommend to buyers with the same config as mine is if you have some cash, buy at least 256 Gb of NVMe m.2 SSD like Kingmax or Adata brand and have the technician of the booth to have it installed and either migrate or reinstall the OS with little to no charge.
