Everyone's mentioned how cool the card percussion is, but even before that I was in awe at the clarinet and viola combo for the lead synth! It makes such a wonderful and hypnotic sound together.

This is to the hit game balatro (shocking I know), a poker based rogue like that was released last year and was nominated for many game awards, winning best inde debut and mobile game (though the game originally came out on pc also last year)

Loving the incorporations of the slight variations that happen when you’re looking at the card packs (like arcana packs or whatever) or working on a blind. Balatro manages to have such a cool soundtrack and it’s literally only just one song.

Can I say that this made me cry? I always thought the accordion produces such a melancholic sound, so hearing you incorporate it fills me with bittersweetness. And the harp just makes it so elegant, too, and the video production itself is amazing! The way everything crescendos with the amazing blend of instruments and ALSO!!! The genius use of the cards!!!! This is the true euphoria of music. Thank you so much for this arrangement, it truly is on repeat until the end of time.
Dang I miss seeing the analysis/ breakdown from Luke at the end of the videos. It would have been really cool to see how he approached this banger of a song.

Balatro's theme already has such a specific, chillingly-relaxed vibe to it, and this cover feels like it twists and enhances that into an almost magical experience? Something like that
Also using playing cards as an instrument for it comes out so *so* well, actually a genius decision to fit that into the track. No song recs this time, I'm in bliss with this one

i like how the extremely varied instrumentation kind of mirrors the aspect of cards themselves. card games have been played for centuries all around the world by all different cultures, so the way you arranged this almost makes it feel like we're experiencing a melting pot of all the eras and atmospheres in which card games have been enjoyed. it feels very warm and inviting. great job! ❤
