Own the 8x42’s, my only real complaint would be the eye cap for the eye cups, almost worthless. Outside of that these are great, I also own a pair of vortex vipers, they are on par with each other in both price and performance. These do have some slight CA in certain situations but is well controlled and not much of an issue. I do believe these have a wider FOV than the vipers which is handy for birds in flight. Buy a pair and be happy!

Hi Sti_mulus, The new M7 when compared with the Monarch 7 binoculars becomes easier to use due to the tripod mount, and the Dioptre adjustment ring locking system, allowing for fewer adjustments every time you use them. The M7 also have oil and water-repelent coating, which makes it easier to clean the elements from smudges, like fingerprints.
