Yeah its melancholic , when I always hear this I remember my last year days in school in ninth grade, I am now to tenth and I had beautiful time in last year and I also have some feeling that I can't explain , it's just an amazing I am composer myself and I am 100 times influenced by this music

so that is why ... fragile Yann Tiersen sounds can be faintly heard on your machines which apparently have a certain pattern built but still manages to surprise the 'trained' ear with a taste of (one of) your favourite artist ... :)...
I listen to this and I hear melancholy, acceptance, passion, sorrow, beauty, resignation - and yet a steely determination to go on and enjoy. Tiersen is a true master of his art. He's not merely composing a piece of music for the piano and playing it - he's composing a piece of emotions, and playing his audience. Bravo. Bravissimo.

For now I learned how to play "Song on the beach" by Arcade Fire, and "Dawn Chorus" by Thom Yorke.
It's not perfect of course, but I know how to play it.
Next one is "On the nature of daylight" by Max Richter.
I should learn that song in next 10 to 15 days hopefully..

It is one of my favourite music pieces. I have synesthesia and to me it looks like a dying star. Everytime I listen to this piece of art I cry because the beauty of it is so overwhelming. Thank you for enriching my life with this and inspiring me to compose my own pieces!

I really admire his music so much, he is a master. When I went to France for a work trip I secretely desired to find a piano and play some of the melodies he created in the country where he was born, but there was no luck until the very last day in which I found a beatuful and tuned red piano in Charles de Gaulle airport. I spent around two hours playing, that was such as magic moment for me, I remember some lady came to me and said that she loved the music when I was playing 8 mm. Now I know this is the next piece I want to learn, its so powerful, full of deep emotion. I hope every airport, hotel and train station in the world had a piano.

This song is soo addicting! There's so many elements in it to acknowledge. One minute it's hauntingly smooth, the next you're on a train ride in a snowstorm, then all of a sudden you find yourself on a merry-go-round??? My goshh how I love this guy's compositions. So expressive and comptemplative.

I found the sound of my soul reflected in this composition. Such a divine ache and sorrow in it's undercurrent, woven together with the memory of love and devastation of a breaking heart in all it's beauty. It's melody will stay with me forever.

This song takes me back to one of the saddest moments of my life - when my house burned out. As melody goes forward - I feel how flame is doing the same, destroying more and more of my home stuff, melting, burning and breaking, until nothing is left. Will never forget this nightmare...

This music is the life itself . A little bit peace ,hope, happiness and love ,’lot s of pain . It captures the injured side of my heart , and reminds me that life is going on .I cant control my tears while I’m listening .

Yann has a certain style and a lot of his work is similar, he's not a technical composer but I don't mean that in a negative way. I still love his music.
