it was the one that totally sets the universe'. it defines the very genre. it sets the absolute reference for anything post apo. but lets face it. its really not up to rhe standard. its definitely kitsch. its totally inferiior to modern movie making. it really looks like its a z series movie. ine definitely has to' separate the ambiance which is pinnacle, from the movie making quality, which is lackluster
@scottallen6227 dude, just imagine being a drifter in the wasteland and you come across 2 bodies with their heads smashed in and bodies in almost perfect condition. 🤯
They would have gotten away with doing whatever they wanted in the Outback at the time. More incredible is that they only had one take, and it was also the set they filmed most of the movie in. There was no going back for reshoots of previous scenes, and no second takes if half the explosives were duds. This was it, and they freaking nailed it 👌
Before the film crew blew up the refinery set they had to inform any airline companies whose planes may have been flying close by and the mines in the area.
What I love was when Max got extra serious shot off both barrels of that shotgun, it was enough to level the playing field, as now Humungus’ raiders lost about 1/5 of their guys in just one shot.
i just saw furiosa. i remembered the scene in mad max 2 as being much more elaborate. but it's still very good. and at the end, the gross scenes in furiosa are very exaggerated. but i thought furiosa was unnecessarily maligned by the critics. i thought it was pretty good! maybe not as over the top as fury road. but still good!
I think my list is only 3 or 4, but I consider this a perfect movie. Watching this clip, and I don't think I've seen the whole movie in 20 years, I can see the tiny clues of how old it is. But to have barely been a teen when this came out, in the early days of punk rock, it was like a miracle!!!
Esse filme ele da minha infância queria esses dias estava vendo videoclipe curtindo a timer com participação desse filme eu estava lembrando tô louco para assistir esse filme de novo muito bom

I sometimes scoff at how ineffectual the War boys are. But these guys were the OG Losers. They sent the B squad for sure. Those clowns only took out ONE car before they all three got wasted. Even Papa Gallo , didn’t even take out one motorcycle… JUST BUMP THEM, dummy… before he got knifed in the back by Humongous.
Well this whole rig chase was a planned suicide mission to put as much distance as possible between the actual fuel carriers and Humungus' gang. And there's also a strategic diffrence between two groups. One group consists of ex-civilians who only knew how to defend the gate so they probably used the same method defending the rig. Second group is a gang consisting of ex-military and ex-MFP who were trained for road wars.
Is see Furiosa as a couple generations past this timeline. Furiosa’s time has perfected “road war.” Perhaps the Feral Kid passed down this technique of fortifying semi rigs for battle.
Best documentary movie about Australia ever.

That's wrong, though.
I love how the roads in this version are supposed to be in an apocalypse but are somehow nicer than the roads where I live.

The best mad Max film
Apart from Mad Max 1 lol

All real vehicles and stunts! No cgi!
Mad Max 1 and 2 remain high points not only in Aussie cinema history but in post-1950 cinema history.
To me the best part of this is The Humungus having a pic of parents getting married.
この頃のはヘタなCGなんかじゃなく、ちゃんと人が作っているのがいいですね。本物の迫力があります。CGなんか目じゃない。
That's not post-apocalyptic. That's just how they drive in Queensland.
why aussie's roads are so narrow compared to american ones?
It's just people trying to get out of Geelong.
And Naples
Mel’s best movie he’s ever done.
8分ぐらいしか無いのに、もうすでに面白い。
The deaths of the Warrior Woman and the Mechanic were so tragic. Heads crushed under the tires. Wasteland is so savage.

Yeah...I dont see any head crushing...
@bobafettuccine3541 it's that fast.
The best part about this scene is how much Mel Gibson sells it. Max really has an expression that's like 'I think Im gonna die doing this'

My favorite is the motorcycle dude whirling through the air after slamming into the car. Great movie.
If anyone is curious, the head on crash with Max , slow to stop the scene. You will see how the crash was done. Simple but effective.
