I've been to many outdoor festivals, always go prepared. Sadly the education system doesn't teach these kids to think for themselves or be responsible for their own lack of planning.
Had the best time there! showered the last 2 days, if one water tap was out the next one had some. saw the rain forecast the last day so moved the car closer to exit before the rain and got out early in the morning ez as. Great festival! rain was expected, dealt with it...
Honestly, all the people I saw at Northern were in very good spirits considering the weather, they made the most of it and didn't let the shit weather put a downer on the event! The event organisers were using diggers to get rid of mud and lay out fresh sand and bark to help make things easier. The only thing that genuinely sucked was that one very cheeky person stole the shower heads 🤣 Had to have a couple of nights washing with soap and water bottles but you make the most of what you have.
Would it have killed someone to just get 2k ish worth of gap 40 delivered and dumped in a straight ish line for people to drive on? I've seen the videos of the truck drivers laying it in about 5 minutes.
festival goers had been warned: rain expected. Rain makes grassy paddocks into mud with any feet that trample over it...sheep, cows...people. Rubber band thickness tyres aren't reknowned for grip in mud. Maybe snow chains might have been a good idea...as they do wonders for grip in mud as well as snow and ice. Always carry water in your car...
Had a mean time regardless of the weather 😆 everyone was enjoying it at the time, i remember there being water the hole time aswell 🤙got pushed out of the paddock by 4 legends at the end of the night ❤
There were multiple times when there was no water! The worst was after NY's getting back to the tent at like 5am, realising you couldn't have a shower or drink any water after partying all night. There may have been water somewhere but you'd have to slogg your way through the mudd to find it. That's just not good enough!
It was actually an awesome time for the people that can suck it up and get on with there fun I had friends leave but I didn’t once think about leaving. You have to make fun with what you have stop whinging!
