Very nice elevator tour! :) Amorella is now the only oold-fashioned cruiseferry on the Turku - Stockholm route.

Really nice elevators! I love how DAN Elevator uses KONE M-Series chimes back then.

I like the staff (small) lift. Nice of the guy to show you around.
How did you approach this person? I mean, did you just see the first member of staff then ask him "can you take me around all the non-public lifts?" and he said "yes?". Was it that easy?
Oh and, did you ask to go into the motor room, maybe that would be one question too far lol!
    Great video.

excellent marine elevators. they only let you select a floor in the current direction of travel. at 6:35 we hear some clanking. what is that? nice shoes. what did they say on the intercom. great the service elevator has two doors. classic leveling starts very early. aft freight has two doors also. fun keeps coming. tiny staff lift is in a back room as well. now you have an easier way to find tiny lift.

(In Danish) Det jeg bedst kunne lide, det var at Ville Viking var med på videoen + at du også gik omkring bildækket.

***** mrmattandmrchay I would say medium difficult. While this isn't Fort Know, one does also not simply walk into the service areas and film the elevators. It does require some talking and explaining. Sometimes a lot and sometimes to more than just one person. Then patience because they might tell you to come back later at a given time. They might also postpone it several times if they were too busy at the moment.
I approach the staff at the main reception where i explain what i want to do and why. They can then contact their superiors or a member of security who hopefully are not too busy - and willing to help.

Strange how the passenger elevators have KONE fixtures but the service ones don't. Are they original?

Have you thought of visiting Amorella's sister, Princess Anastasia? I never got to riding her while she was with P&O, and I really wished I did.

That's Mariellas sister ship. Isabelle (Isabella) is Amorellas sister ship. Next year Amorellas goes away because Viking Glory replaces Amorella.

This may also explain why there is a ladder on the wall of the shaft that goes all the way from top to bottom...
