I dunno... All he really said was "I won this medal and that medal and was 'lucky enough' to win that thing". It was like he cared more about telling the Queen how much he'd accomplished than actually talking to her.
When the Queen smiles, I smile from ear to ear (as we say in Brazil). The pond joke was one of the most funny and informal moments of her that I've ever seen.
What a wonderful lady our Queen was. She managed to put everyone at ease and loved to have a laugh and joke while remaining dignified at all times. She took an interest in everyone and everything and embraced modern technology. She will never be forgotten.
This was a wonderful moment for our Queen and the recipients. This lovely lady is still switched on & sharp as a pin (as they say) never ,ever forgets...great sense of humour too ❤

I noticed. She changed during her last year. Never before had she smiled that much and looked that happy- and this after the death of her beloved husband. I never could make any sense of it. Maybe, just maybe, she knew she didn’t have much time left and wanted to make the best of it?
One thing that strikes me about our dearest Lizzie, is that she has this girlish, slightly mischievous, charm. She’s always had that. Sometimes the silences may be perceived as being morose, but not by me. She is 96 years old after all but deserves her own time now - as much as watching this was delightful. From a proud pomme.
