I want to say that democracy is the problem of Indian. China's success is mainly due to its unique efficient system. But then I thought every people has their own tradition and way of organize their society. It is that the Chinese think for their own and come up their own way of development but India can't.
India is hopelessly divided, also western world will not allow an other country with size of China to rise again, they have no more job to give. I have been to India many many times, love the country and people, every intellectual I met with in India can list all the issues India facing, no one has solutions.

The Chinese are not saying that this system is the greatest and that it works for every country and definitely has no plans to shove it down the throat of other countries. Each country works primarily to serve its own interests and China's interests are simple; to have food on the tables of each household and a roof over their heads. In my city last year the Govt. had decided to clear a small area of forested land for the construction of a shed for the Metro trains ....Now as soon as news of this was heard by some ' Nature Loving ' people a big protest was arranged and they took the matter to court ( In India once any issue is taken up by the judiciary and is pending for hearing the Govt. cannot do anything as far as that particular subject matter is concerned ) ...Later the courts did allow the Govt. to construct the shed there as the small forested area was just too small to be categorized under forests hence the Law which orders the Govt. to protect the forests was not applicable there and more importantly the land was legally owned by the railways anyway ...So the railways was able to construct a shed there BUT do you know how long it took ..Almost two years ...Something which would had been completed in six months took two years to finish and for that the entire Metro rail construction had to suffer as well . This is what happens .

Britain smuggled opium into China to dope the population, a strategy to turn the trade deficit around, after the British could not find enough silver to pay the Qing Dynasty in their tea and porcelain trades. After the opium warehouses were burned down and ports were closed by the Chinese in ordered to curb opium, the British started the Opium War I, which China lost. Hong Kong was forced to be surrendered to the British in a peace talk (Nanjing Treaty). The British owned 90% of the opium market in China, during that time, Queen Victoria was the world’s biggest drug baron. The remaining 10% was owned by American merchants from Boston. Many of Boston’s institutions were built with profit from opium. After 12 years of Nanjing Treaty, the West started getting really really greedy. The British wanted the Qing government: 1. To open the borders of China to allow goods coming in and out freely, and tax free. 2. Make opium legal in China. Insane requests, Qing government said no. The British and French (with supports from the US), started Opium War II with China, which again, China lost. The Anglo-French military raided the Summer Palace, and threatened to burn down the Imperial Palace, the Qing government was forced to pay with ports, free business zones, 300,000 kilograms of silver and Kowloon was taken. Since then, China’s resources flew out freely through these business zones and ports. In the subsequent amendment to the treaties, Chinese people were sold overseas to serve as labor. In 1900, China suffered attacks by the 8-National Alliance (Empire of Japan, Russian Empire, British Empire (including India), France, USA, Germany, Italy, Austria-Hungary). Innocent Chinese civilians in Peking (Beijing now) were murdered, buildings were destroyed & women were raped. The Imperial Palace was raided, and treasures ended up in museums like the British Museum in London and the Louvre in Paris. In late 1930s China was occupied by the Japanese in WWII. Millions of Chinese died during the occupancy. 300,000 Chinese died in Nanjing Massacre alone. Mao brought China together again from the shambles. There were peace and unity for some time. But Mao’s later reign saw sufferings and deaths from famine and power struggles. Then came Deng Xiao Ping and his infamous “black-cat and white-cat” story. His preference in pragmatism than ideologies has transformed China. This thinking allowed China to evolve all the time to adapt to the actual needs in the country, instead of rigidly bounded to ideologies. It also signified the death of Communism in actually practice in China. The current Socialism+Meritocracy+Market Economy model fits the Chinese like gloves, and it propels the uprise of China. Singapore has a similar model, and has been arguably more successful than Hong Kong, because Hong Kong being gateway to China, was riding on the economic boom in China, while Singapore had no one to gain from. In just 30 years, the CPC have moved 800 millions of people out from poverty. The rate of growth is unprecedented in human history. They have built the biggest mobile network, by far the biggest high speed rail network in the world, and they have become a behemoth in infrastructure. They made a fishing village called Shenzhen into the world’s second largest technological centre after the Silicon Valley. They are growing into a technological power house. It has the most elaborate e-commerce and cashless payment system in the world. They have launched exploration to Mars. The Chinese are living a good life and China has become one of the safest countries in the world. The level of patriotism in the country has reached an unprecedented height. For all of the achievements, the West has nothing good to say about it. China suffers from intense anti-China propagandas from the West. Western Media used the keyword “Communist” to instil fear and hatred towards China. Everything China does is negatively reported. They claimed China used slave labor in making iPhones. The truth was, Apple was the most profitable company in the world, it took most of the profit, leave some to Foxconn (a Taiwanese company) and little to the labor. They claimed China was inhuman with one-child policy. At the same time, they accused China of polluting the earth with its huge population. The fact is the Chinese consume just 30% of energy per capita compared to the US. Minorities in China Show me any currency in the world which also prints the language of its ethinc minorities. Chinese bank notes show 5 languages of 5 minorities living in China, including Tibetan and Uyghur. They claimed China underwent ethnic cleansing in Xinjiang. The fact is China has a policy which priorities ethnic minorities. For a long time, the ethnic minorities were allowed to have two children and the majority Han only allowed one. The minorities are allowed a lower score for university intakes. Muslims students get Halal food at the university cafeteria. There are 39,000 mosque in China, and 2100 in the US. China has about 3 times more mosque per muslim than the US. When terrorist attacks happened in Xinjiang, China had two choices: 1. Re-educate the Uighur extremists before they turned terrorists. 2. Let them be, after they launch attacks and killed innocent people, bomb their homes. China chose 1 to solve problem from the root and not to do killing. How the US solve terrorism? Fire missiles from battleships, drop bombs from the sky. During the pandemic, When China took extreme measures to lockdown the people, they were accused of being inhuman. When China recovered swiftly because of the extreme measures, they were accused of lying about the actual numbers. When China’s cases became so low that they could provide medical support to other countries, they were accused of politically motivated. Western Media always have reasons to bash China. Just like any country, there are irresponsible individuals from China which do bad and dirty things, but the China government overall has done very well. But I hear this comment over and over by people from the West: I like Chinese people, but the CPC is evil. What they really want is the Chinese to change the government, because the current one is too good. Fortunately China is not a multi-party democratic country, otherwise the opposition party in China will be supported by notorious NGOs (Non-Government Organization) of the USA, like the NED (National Endowment for Democracy), to topple the ruling party. Instead of stepping up themselves, they want to pull China down. The recent movement by the US against China has a very important background. When Libya, Iran, and China decided to ditch the US dollar in oil trades, Gaddafi’s was killed by the US, Iran was being sanctioned by the US, and now it’s China’s turn. The US has been printing money out of nothing. The only reason why the US Dollar is still widely accepted, is because it’s the only currency which oil is allowed to be traded with. Well, this year India has added more startups than China yet it's 16 whereas in overall before 2021 India had 28 even tho China has thousand times startups than India. This shows we are moving in a great direction also the infra has majorly improved especially in Urban areas. The government needs to pull up a major campaign for modernizing the agriculture system here. Where China needs 2 employees in the farming sector India needs 20. Another thing that can be done is skill development Indian engineers are called that they aren't skilled enough to be competing with any engineer from developed nations. The great thing is that just 6-8 months of training is enough to make them skilled as they already have theoretical knowledge. Those people from the farming sector can easily be pushed into manufacturing if govt supports them. In India women employees are decreasing day by day previously total of 10-12% women used to work outside but it has come down to 6% in 2021 95% of women in India aren't self-dependent that's literally half of India's population sitting at home where has over 90% of women in China works. India needs to stop seeing the modern world as a sin or curse. Most of the women want to work but culture forces them to take care of their child at home if we push and accept babysitting as something good then not just mothers but other women who will work as a baby sitter can get jobs. Sorry to say but Indian culture has a huge toxic part due to which we aren't able to grow as fast and that's also the reason why so many of Indians leave the country and never come back.

I don't understand why people always want to compare India with China, there is no comparison, one is an apple and another an orange, the culture is different, the type of government is different, the history is different, the demographic, the economy structures are totally different, the only thing that is similar is the size of their populations, Taiwan and Australia has the similar population but you don't see anyone wanting to compare the two.
Having been to India, I think they had massive potential but couldn't control their population growth unlike China. I forsee a massive problem in the future in India because of their population with no real apparent solution. The worst feature of India is that the rich try and insulate themselves from the concerns of the poor (the vast majority) so they see no reason to change the current situation for the average person, if that continues India is in for massive trouble.

simply do a simple math, to show you how it is impossible, China's GDP is $14.72 Trillion, India is $2.632 Trillion 14.72/2.632=5.59 to get to the level of China, assume India with growth rage 1% more than China, that will need 173 year, if 2% more than China, that will take 86.5 years, 4% more than China, it will take 43.3 year, 8% more than China, that will take 21 year, etc, Assume China growth rate is 5%, India growth keeps at 6%, India will get the same amount of GDP of China in 173 years. the reality is , India growth in 2021 predicted will be 8.4%, but growth at 2020 was -7.3%, so for 2 years, it is (-7.3 + 8.4 )/ 2 = 0.5%. China in 2020 growth was 2.2 and 2021 (predicted) 6 %, so for 2 years, (2.2+6)/2= 4.1%, China growth is 4.1-0.5=3.6% more than India,
India is ahead of software than CHINA? You are kidding right? Your maybe basing it on BPOs or outsourcing industry which not really entirely equates to software. Based on data alone, CHINA's software industry alone is about at least 400B USD that is about 4x whole india's IT industry. Not to mention, CHINA has gaming & internet industries & services which mostly their exports IT services. Largest gaming company in the world is Tencent, Ant Financial is the world's most valuble startup, Alibaba and its subsidiary is dominating not only in CHINA but also in Southeast Asia, Africa and even india thru paytm. Tech scene in CHINA is now rivaling the west, no wonder why trump is so keen to ban and maligning CHINA's tech companies and related businesses like TikTok, WeChat and even Zoom. 🙄

Maybe not a 100 but at the rate we're going certainly more than 10. Surprisingly many big projects have been passed(and many concluded) by our current govt. The problem at current levels of taxation is we can't keep the growth story going indefinitely without incurring alot more debt.

I disagree with you in the start but your were right in other points, China invested heavily in manufacturing but they didn't ignore their agriculture sector but if you think should leapfrog it's way from agriculture centric to high technology without going through low level manufacturing with its base weak, India is huge country with strong population so here are the point which needs to be thought of - 1. This hugh population needs employment whereas high tech sector is more demanded on skilled labour and automation for efficiency. But to become like China or any other developed Western countries, there are many aspects which have to be taken into consideration, because of which India still lags behind and will be lagging behind in the future. The main reason behind India lagging behind is lack of innovative minds, bookish knowledge never gonna help them to become like China unless you have a creative mindset. Another important reason is, India may overcome corruption at some point but there is hardly any possibility of overcoming inequalities and intolerance.

There is no true communist country. It's more of a socialist country and with "Chinese characteristics" as the Chinese often project themselves. This idea for a revamp of their system stemmed from Deng Xiaopeng's visit to Singapore in 1979.
After years of trials and errors and much tweaking, the Chinese govt managed to alleviate hardcore poverty for 700-800 million of its population. The Chinese are not saying that this system is the greatest and that it works for every country and definitely has no plans to shove it down the throat of other countries.
Someone in this comment section mentioned that China is no angel...and i agree. Each country works primarily to serve its own interests and China's interests are simple; to have food on the tables of each household and a roof over their heads. Once these 2 basic needs are satisfied would only then you have a stable society. And we have seen what progress can be achieved with a stable society.

In my city last year the Govt. had decided to clear a small area of forested land for the construction of a shed for the Metro trains ....Now as soon as news of this was heard by some ' Nature Loving ' people a big protest was arranged and they took the matter to court ( In India once any issue is taken up by the judiciary and is pending for hearing the Govt. cannot do anything as far as that particular subject matter is concerned ) ...Later the courts did allow the Govt. to construct the shed there as the small forested area was just too small to be categorized under forests hence the Law which orders the Govt. to protect the forests was not applicable there and more importantly the land was legally owned by the railways anyway ...So the railways was able to construct a shed there BUT do you know how long it took ..Almost two years ...Something which would had been completed in six months took two years to finish and for that the entire Metro rail construction had to suffer as well . This is what happens .

I’m from Malaysia. China has traded with Malaysia for 2000 years. In those years, they had been the world’s biggest powers many times. Never once they sent troops to take our land. Admiral Zhenghe came to Malacca five times, in gigantic fleets, and a flagship eight times the size of Christopher Columbus’ flagship, Santa Maria. He could have seized Malacca easily, but he did not. In 1511, the Portuguese came. In 1642, the Dutch came. In the 18th century the British came. We were colonised by each, one after another.
When China wanted spices from India, they traded with the Indians. When they wanted gems, they traded with the Persian. They didn’t take lands. The only time China expanded beyond their current borders was in Yuan Dynasty, when Genghis and his descendants Ogedei Khan, Guyuk Khan & Kublai Khan concurred China, Mid Asia and Eastern Europe. But Yuan Dynasty, although being based in China, was a part of the Mongolian Empire.
Then came the Century of Humiliation. Britain smuggled opium into China to dope the population, a strategy to turn the trade deficit around, after the British could not find enough silver to pay the Qing Dynasty in their tea and porcelain trades. After the opium warehouses were burned down and ports were closed by the Chinese in ordered to curb opium, the British started the Opium War I, which China lost. Hong Kong was forced to be surrendered to the British in a peace talk (Nanjing Treaty). The British owned 90% of the opium market in China, during that time, Queen Victoria was the world’s biggest drug baron. The remaining 10% was owned by American merchants from Boston. Many of Boston’s institutions were built with profit from opium.
After 12 years of Nanjing Treaty, the West started getting really really greedy. The British wanted the Qing government:
1. To open the borders of China to allow goods coming in and out freely, and tax free.
2. Make opium legal in China.
Insane requests, Qing government said no. The British and French (with supports from the US), started Opium War II with China, which again, China lost. The Anglo-French military raided the Summer Palace, and threatened to burn down the Imperial Palace, the Qing government was forced to pay with ports, free business zones, 300,000 kilograms of silver and Kowloon was taken. Since then, China’s resources flew out freely through these business zones and ports. In the subsequent amendment to the treaties, Chinese people were sold overseas to serve as labor.
In 1900, China suffered attacks by the 8-National Alliance (Empire of Japan, Russian Empire, British Empire (including India), France, USA, Germany, Italy, Austria-Hungary). Innocent Chinese civilians in Peking (Beijing now) were murdered, buildings were destroyed & women were raped. The Imperial Palace was raided, and treasures ended up in museums like the British Museum in London and the Louvre in Paris.
In late 1930s China was occupied by the Japanese in WWII. Millions of Chinese died during the occupancy. 300,000 Chinese died in Nanjing Massacre alone.
Mao brought China together again from the shambles. There were peace and unity for some time. But Mao’s later reign saw sufferings and deaths from famine and power struggles.
Then came Deng Xiao Ping and his infamous “black-cat and white-cat” story. His preference in pragmatism than ideologies has transformed China. This thinking allowed China to evolve all the time to adapt to the actual needs in the country, instead of rigidly bounded to ideologies. It also signified the death of Communism in actually practice in China. The current Socialism+Meritocracy+Market Economy model fits the Chinese like gloves, and it propels the uprise of China. Singapore has a similar model, and has been arguably more successful than Hong Kong, because Hong Kong being gateway to China, was riding on the economic boom in China, while Singapore had no one to gain from.
In just 30 years, the CPC have moved 800 millions of people out from poverty. The rate of growth is unprecedented in human history. They have built the biggest mobile network, by far the biggest high speed rail network in the world, and they have become a behemoth in infrastructure. They made a fishing village called Shenzhen into the world’s second largest technological centre after the Silicon Valley. They are growing into a technological power house. It has the most elaborate e-commerce and cashless payment system in the world. They have launched exploration to Mars. The Chinese are living a good life and China has become one of the safest countries in the world. The level of patriotism in the country has reached an unprecedented height.
For all of the achievements, the West has nothing good to say about it. China suffers from intense anti-China propagandas from the West. Western Media used the keyword “Communist” to instil fear and hatred towards China.
Everything China does is negatively reported.
They claimed China used slave labor in making iPhones. The truth was, Apple was the most profitable company in the world, it took most of the profit, leave some to Foxconn (a Taiwanese company) and little to the labor.
They claimed China was inhuman with one-child policy. At the same time, they accused China of polluting the earth with its huge population. The fact is the Chinese consume just 30% of energy per capita compared to the US.
Minorities in China
Show me any currency in the world which also prints the language of its ethinc minorities. Chinese bank notes show 5 languages of 5 minorities living in China, including Tibetan and Uyghur.
They claimed China underwent ethnic cleansing in Xinjiang. The fact is China has a policy which priorities ethnic minorities. For a long time, the ethnic minorities were allowed to have two children and the majority Han only allowed one. The minorities are allowed a lower score for university intakes. Muslims students get Halal food at the university cafeteria. There are 39,000 mosque in China, and 2100 in the US. China has about 3 times more mosque per muslim than the US.
When terrorist attacks happened in Xinjiang, China had two choices:
1. Re-educate the Uighur extremists before they turned terrorists.
2. Let them be, after they launch attacks and killed innocent people, bomb their homes.
China chose 1 to solve problem from the root and not to do killing. How the US solve terrorism? Fire missiles from battleships, drop bombs from the sky.

The recent movement by the US against China has a very important background. When Libya, Iran, and China decided to ditch the US dollar in oil trades, Gaddafi’s was killed by the US, Iran was being sanctioned by the US, and now it’s China’s turn. The US has been printing money out of nothing. The only reason why the US Dollar is still widely accepted, is because it’s the only currency which oil is allowed to be traded with. In India women employees are decreasing day by day previously total of 10-12% women used to work outside but it has come down to 6% in 2021 95% of women in India aren't self-dependent that's literally half of India's population sitting at home where has over 90% of women in China works. India needs to stop seeing the modern world as a sin or curse. Most of the women want to work but culture forces them to take care of their child at home if we push and accept babysitting as something good then not just mothers but other women who will work as a baby sitter can get jobs. Chinese can assimilate and succeed anywhere they migrate or move to. You don't see japanese anywhere in the worl(apart from few in Brazil), or Koreans (apart from few in Japan). But Chinese are everywhere, and always successful and always assimilate and can fit into the new countries cultures.

I disagree with you in the start but your were right in other points, China invested heavily in manufacturing but they didn't ignore their agriculture sector but if you think should leapfrog it's way from agriculture centric to high technology without going through low level manufacturing with its base weak, India is huge country with strong population so here are the point which needs to be thought of -
1. This hugh population needs employment whereas high tech sector is more demanded on skilled labour and automation for efficiency. If you are aware about India's education it has highest number of engineering graduates who are not skilled enough with this advancing market.
2. With today's geopolitical affair it is very important to be self sufficient, otherwise you are only looking to get strong armed by rich countries and their sanctions.
There are some areas that India can surpass China, population and unemployment rate.

But to become like China or any other developed Western countries, there are many aspects which have to be taken into consideration, because of which India still lags behind and will be lagging behind in the future. The main reason behind India lagging behind is lack of innovative minds, bookish knowledge never gonna help them to become like China unless you have a creative mindset. Another important reason is, India may overcome corruption at some point but there is hardly any possibility of overcoming inequalities and intolerance.

Software industry can't lift millions out of poverty like hardware manufacturing can do because working in software and computing industry requires highly educated and skilled workers which are few in India hence it will deepen the income divide in India I want India to develop pharmaceutical industry which is something India can easily excel in and dominate

However if you want to check out numbers, you may easily check which three countries will be having highest GDP (nominal)in upcoming decades . You will find India's name in there , meanwhile tiny lil european countries whose citizens are commenting here will be seeing their nations nowhere near.
China was able to grow rapidly because of its dictatorship(communism is a veil for them) , if govt wants something to be done, it will be done asap. While in India, many a times activists try to stop projects in the name of environment by filing cases in the court. There are huge roadblocks in developing a democratic country. So we will grow, but we will grow in such a way that we remain stable for centuries. I highly doubt whether china will remain as a single country for the next 2 decades because of its dictatorial regime, suppressing uyghurs, forcefully taking out their organs.
